10 Person Cabin near Mount Rushmore

Welcome to Silver Mountain Resort and Cabins. Boulder Hill Barn is one of seven cabins on our country property.

This cabin is perfect for a large family. On the ground level this cabin has a beautiful King bedroom, queen bedroom and twin bedroom, living area has a full kitchenette and stand up shower bathroom. The second level features a Large bedroom with king sized Tempur-pedic bed, one smaller room containing a twin and a queen sofa-sleeper with 4-inch memory foam mattress in living room. Large full kitchen. Comfortably sleeps 10 people. As with all of our cabins, the heated pool is only steps away.

This cabin is perfect for a large family. On the ground level this cabin has a beautiful King bedroom, queen bedroom and twin bedroom, living area has a full kitchenette and stand up shower bathroom. The second level features a Large master bedroom with king sized Tempur-pedic bed, one smaller room containing a twin and a queen sofa-sleeper with 4-inch memory foam mattress in living room. The kitchen is stocked with full sized appliances and all dishes and cookware. Comfortably sleeps 10 people. As with all of our cabins, the heated pool is only steps away. A large deck with a gas grill that overlooks the grounds. The Boulder Hill Barn is the perfect place from which to enjoy the Black Hills and a relaxing vacation.

Great location, great communication from the host, comfortable and clean. Two adults and 4 kids (ages 15, 11, 10, 9) from western Wisconsin, we stayed here on our way back from our first trip to Yellowstone. After 1,900 miles in the car, we wanted some extra space for the family to spread out. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us, all 4 of the kids got their own room which was blissful. The pool is a little smaller but we had it to ourselves for a couple hours and the kids had a blast. Great location, we did Rushmore and some fun stuff around Keystone.

Great quiet cabin

Beautiful property with lots of space for large groups. Nice having a pool on site, lots of room for kids to run around outside.

Mountain cabin

Beautiful cabin in the mountains

We stayed in the "barn" which is a large two story "cabin" with beautiful woodwork and all the amenitities. We were able to prepare most of our meals in the upstairs kitchen and spent a lot of time just relaxing in the great room watching videos or hanging out. This building has a ton of storage, so you can put everything away while you're there, and still access it easily. Three of the five bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable, two of the five were small rooms with single beds, not a good choice if your claustrophobic, but worked for our kids. Beautiful area, 15 minutes from Krull's market, and centrallly located for trips to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and the Bad Lands (about 1 1/2 hours to the visitor center).

It was ok.

The place was ok. Needs some TLC. A plumber and a window person could keep busy for a few days. Two of the bathroom sinks drained quite slowly. My guess would be plugged traps. Not all of the windows opened properly and most of the screens (window & door) need attention. A deep dive cleaning i.e. ceiling fans, cupboards wouldn't hurt. Although being an OCD clean freak everything gets noticed. Kari-Ann was present, polite and listened to our comments with a smile. I didn't list all of the items we mentioned to her. I would stay again if everything was addressed.

SD Vacation

Communication was accurate & friendly. KariAnn was an excellent hostess and we couldn't have asked for an easier process. The surroundings were delightful and the house was excellent except for the stairs; but that seems to be the norm for that area. We loved our stay and will be a wonderful trip crossed of our bucket list. We traveled with 2 adults that are a bit compromised and everything was manageable for them. We loved this place and will tell everyone. Thank you, KariAnn!!

We planned a trip for my Birthday and it was a half way point for my Sister and brother in law from Missouri. The cabin was a great place for all of us to visit versus a hotel with separate rooms. We were all able to hangout every evening together.The cabin was so cute and we had so much room. Our trip out there was amazing. Thank you Kara for the prompt response when we had the little mishap with parking. You are a wonderful host!!! We will recommend this place to family and friends.

SIlver Mountain Cabins Review

Our extended family rented the 5 bedroom cabin and it was everything we needed. Room for 6 adults and 3 children. Private places for each of them along with nice gathering spaces. The cabin was close to all the Black Hills attractions and the kids really loved the pool. The cabin was very clean with all the items we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. We will stay here again!

Great property in a great location.

This was a great vacation! The property was clean and the process to check in and check out was easy. Absolutely loved the location - we were close to everything that we wanted to do in South Dakota. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. We have already recommended this property to some friends that are coming in the fall. Thanks!

The house is beautiful and comfortable and well thought out for your stay. Beautiful woodsy location - nature, wildlife, pool, outdoor patios, firepit, well stocked kitchen, all linens. So scenic n pretty- yet close enough to so many attractions. Kari-Ann was our hostess and she was super kind, helpful, and accommodating- she is so very customer-oriented and knowledgeable about what folks might need to have or know for their stay. Barn house

Enjoyed the space, it met our needs, well laid out. Plenty of bedrooms for everybody to have their own space, great communal area for spending time together in the living room/dining room/kitchen, nice little kitchenette downstairs. Appreciated the DIY craftsmanship, cabinets and other projects throughout. Heating was radiant bars I think, not sure but neat. Nice how there was control over many specific areas to adjust comfort accordingly. Outside was lovely with cows grazing and many deer coming and going. Location very close to Rushmore, Cosmos Mystery Area, and many other tourist attractions. Would be a nice amenity to have a smart device on the tv (Roku/fire stick/apple tv) for guests to login to their own streamers or access other free content. Or some dvds for the two dvd players. Also a deck or two of cards for the game drawer. We enjoyed some Yahtzee and Outburst. Uno appeared to be missing much of the deck. More or darker window shades/curtains for the small bedroom at the top of the stairs. It seemed there’s maybe a missing inner plastic shower curtain for the downstairs shower. The cloth like one is too long and gets wet in the shower pan. The flooring out side the shower was a little warped so it must’ve been an ongoing issue with keeping water in. We put an extra towel down with the bath mat. Couldn’t get any of the outside lights on so maybe a bulb is out. Not complaining, just wanted to let you know some suggestions, things to improve the stay. Thank you

beyond expectations

The place was spectacular. Great location to all the attraction. Our grandkids loved the pool. All the beds were comfortable. They kept us supplied with towels and paper products. Hope to return some day.

Awesome stay!

We stayed at the boulder hill barn which was perfect for our large family. We had 6 adults and two toddlers. The check in process was smooth and simple. The cabin was pretty much furnished with everything you needed. The bathrooms could use a little updating, but overall a great stay. The upstairs didn’t stay as cool as the downstairs, but luckily they had fans available in almost every bedroom. The location is close to Mount Rushmore. The host was friendly and prompt with getting back to me with any questions I had. I would recommend this to friends & family.

Great location, flexible set up for multi-family use

We stayed with a group of 10 (three separate families). Adequate space & a good set up for families with small children who need a quiet separate room for napping. Well stocked kitchen, gas grill, pool nearby. We were very happy with our stay. Would love to visit again. Thanks!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!

We could not have been happier with this property. We took our adult children and their significant others and our dad for a week stay near Yellowstone. We had zero complaints and cannot say enough about how perfect this property was. The house, the ease of the rental, the communication and last but not least the LOCATION! Thank you!
