Perfect vacation home

Great location down in the canyon and along the creek. Beds were very comfortable, outside porch bedroom was amazing. Rapid City was wonderful and the property owner was very accommodating. We will be returning for sure.

What a Great Place

I loved staying in this house. It was in a beautiful, quiet location, but close to Rapid City if I needed anything. I saw lots of wildlife. I would love to go back during the summer.

Breathtaking vacation rental

Property was beautiful and house was cozy and accomodating. Beds were incredibly comfortable! Ventured out daily to see all the sights, and spent last day playing by the river and beach. Felt like we were totally secluded but still close to many restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay at this location again!

Excellent Location!

The house is located centrally to all the things we wanted to do in the area (parks, hiking, museums, etc). Everything was an easy day trip and convenient to town for groceries yet we were on a lovely creek with few neighbors, very private, a wonderful canyon setting. The property manager Josh and his staff were outstanding with their customer service! They helped answer questions quickly at all times and also helped us with some administrative things after our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will plan on returning!

S Dakota stay!

Very cute and cozy! The place is very nice but they could use another chair or love seat in living area. We loved the location and the creek! The screen porch bedroom was amazing and the screen porch very nice. Stairway up is hard to navigate if you are older. Upstairs bathroom is a bit small with slanted ceiling. All and all though it is a fabulous place. I would stay again!

Beautiful Relaxing Black Hills Getaway

If anything this listing and it’s features are understated! The location on a private beach on Rapid Creek was amazing. The cliffs and canyon walls were spectacular. The hot tub overlooking the creek was the crowning jewel. Also, the fact that the property is pet friendly with a fenced in backyard made the trip awesome with our furry friends. The house and deck area with screened in patio bedroom were amazing. The Wi-Fi worked great and there wasn’t one thing that we needed that wasn’t provided. If you’re looking for a secluded get away that is still only minutes from downtown Rapid City, this is the place. Will book again for sure!

Rapid City in the October

This house is even better in person! If you are hesitant to book this place- JUST DO IT! Having Rapid Creek in your backyard is awesome! Our dogs loved running on "the beach". This house is amazing/cozy- surrounded by granite walls of Black Canyon. Darren (owner) is very responsive. We couldn't figure out how to turn the heat on. He sent Patrick (handyman with a wealth of information about the area) right over with heaters, in case we didn't want to use the gas woodstove. Hot tub was so nice to relax in after exploring all day. My husband was impressed with how the plumbing worked. Would stay here again.

Peaceful cabin off the stream

Great location with a very nice beach area on a running stream. Wish we had gone when the weather was a tad bit warmer but had a great stay regardless. Nearby attractions with Mount Rushmore, Custer and Crazy Horse just a short drive and downtown Rapid City gave us plenty to do. Outdoor bedroom was a bit cold in October! Interesting upstairs with carpet being mostly done with rugs but we didn’t spend too much time inside the house. Great screened in porch and smoker/BBQ was awesome!

Rapid Creek Jewel!

We thoroughly enjoyed our river house on Rapid Creek! We especially loved the deck overlooking the river and fell in love with the huge screened porch, the sandy beach, and the many places to sit and enjoy the river. The arbor swing was my personal favorite. Oh, for the days when everyone had a porch! The world would be a happier place. The house is very charming. The kitchen/dining/living area is comfortable and very functional and well stocked. The area is stunning with the canyon walls rising up on each side. The seclusion was wonderful and very peaceful. We felt like we were miles from ANYWHERE, and yet it was only a very short drive into Rapid City. The house reminds me of a Swill chalet. It's very charming. I waited for Red Riding Hood to appear at our door. I would not have been surprised in the least if she had. Our host was SO easy going and very pleasant. We had an extra guest, a small squirrel who was bringing acorns across the drive to her hideaway, preparing for winter. We got a kick out of her diligence! We hope to return some day. My husband got a real kick out of fly fishing in the river. Wow, what a paradise!

AMAZING LOCATION

We rent vacation homes at least 2 times a year when we take family vacations and this is one of our favorites. This was a beautiful secluded location. We enjoyed the little beach area (great idea-kids loved the crystal clear water), the hot tub when it cooled down in the evening, using the grill to smoke ribs & chicken, and early morning coffee and a walk. We had so much to do (sight seeing) but we definitely would rent again just to stay there the entire time and relax. Darren, our host, was amazing and a pleasure to meet. He met us at the property, explained how everything works and showed us around. We would absolutely recommend this property and plan on renting it again.
