The Bird House near Bryce & Zion

Be isolated and not worry about large crowds and close neighbors. Entire house & yard to yourself! Everything you need to visit the local National Parks or other attractions. The building was used for a amazon parrot flight house for a local sanctuary. They were in the process of demoing the old building. We saved it and gave it a new purpose! The lot it sits on had a birdhouse where a pair of birds would raise their young every year. Come escape to this breath taking tiny house!

Perfect for what we needed. Property is within 90 min from 3 major national parks with Zion being the closest. 3 other great hikes within 20 mins we really appreciated the washer and dryer as we are on a very long road trip. Very comfortable accommodations. Must use own streaming services on TV.

Our 30th bday trip

We took a trip going from phoenix to las vegas with stops along the way. We stayed at the bird house for 3 nights and it was very comfy, clean & had everything you need. We were so thankful to have a place with a washer & dryer. It was a nice central place to go from Page, AZ and then over to zion another day. Thank you for providing us a nice place to stay!

Cozy little house

We just spent a lovely 2 days at the Bird House. The space is absolutely perfect for 2 people, has all the amenities needed and is centrally located close to all of the places we visited. Our communication with the host was beyond helpful and Kristy answered my questions almost immediately. We plan to visit Kanab again and will be booking The Bird House 🤗

Great location for Kanab Vacation!

I stayed here for vacation and would highly recommend this property! This is a great location to see the sights in Kanab, Page, Bryce Canyon, and Zion. The area is quiet and peaceful with ample outdoor seating for watching the sunsets. It’s a very cozy, well-decorated, and welcoming space with all the amenities you need for your stay. Everything noted on the site description was accurate, Wi-fi was good, and washer/dryer is very helpful for longer stays. The property was clean and well-stocked for a couple or solo traveler. The host is very helpful and responded to messages quickly. I received all the info needed for a quick check-in and property details. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone staying in Kanab!

Wonderful nature-themed house near national parks

I had a great stay at the Bird House during a trip to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion. The booking and check-in process was very easy, and I was able to enjoy this house as soon as I arrived. This house had everything that I needed for my stay. The decorations of the house and the birds who like to visit the birdhouses on the property fit perfectly with day trips to the national parks. Before and after venturing out each day to Bryce and Zion, I enjoyed spending time outside the house admiring the cliffs in the area and seeing all the birds coming and going from the property. I highly recommend the Bird House to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area of the Bryce and Zion national parks!

Great stay in Kanab!

Everything was as expected- it was a perfect home base for our needs! Privacy is nice. The space is utilized wisely. Washer and dryer are awesome! Small outdoor kitchen/grill would be our only recommendation!

Cozy cottage packed with amenities

Had a relaxing stay here. The space is small but cheerily decorated and provides everything you could need--great shower, sitting area, w/d, ample kitchen, wi-fi, tv, and I especially loved the outdoor seating for watching the sunset. At first I parked in the wrong driveway. For the "b" part of the address, go just past where your GPS sends you and turn the corner onto Judd. Then it's obvious.

Charming place to stay!

We really enjoyed staying here. The location was quiet and we had a great view right out the front door. The property was clean and well stocked. The owner was responsive and very reasonable. It was a good place that was centrally located for our trip! We visited many national parks and this was a great spot to rest our heads at night!

Cute tiny house

We enjoyed this cute tiny house. It was perfect for me and my 11 year old daughter as we didn't need a lot of space. One night we ate dinner on the porch. It was a few min drive to downtown Kanab about about 15 min drive to Best Friends Animal sanctuary where we volunteered. The only down side of the house if the air handling system is noisy and right above the bed.

The entire place was very comfortable with all the small things necessary to enjoy your stay, except no cutting board, no biggie. Bed was comfortable, easy to make meals, full size fridge, and laundry also available. The wi-fi however, was not very good, videos didn't work and pictures took forever to load. I would still stay here again though

Cute little home, perfect for what we needed

Kanab & the surrounding area is a wonderful community with a lot to do. We visited Zion National Park, enjoyed an ATV tour that led us to Peekaboo Slot Canyon, toured the bunny house at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and watched the sunset at Coral Pink Sands State Park. We also spent a little time shopping & dining in Kanab. This was truly an awe-inspiring, fun-filled 2 days. The birdhouse was perfect for what we needed to do laundry and rest each night. It was comfortable & clean and the outdoor space was a great bonus.

Wonderful!

This is a darling place to stay. The host cares about details and has created a great retreat. We were spending our days hiking and rock climbing. The oversized front porch was a great place to reset gear. The layout of having the bathroom so near the front door helped keep dirt/mess to a minimum. We loved our stay.

Had friendly neighbors and it was clean. It was near the places we wanted to visit. The inside of the place was clean and beautiful. Had great restaurants around and overall it was wonderful stay. Stayed almost a week.

Hi, we're Jarad & Kristy A. Brinkerhoff. We live in beautiful Glendale, Utah. We have 4 kids (3 girls and 1 boy). We live on a small farm with chickens, peacocks, sheep, goats, dogs, and a Llama. By using things that are already made and could be repurposed. We wanted to have our kids involved in this project to help them learn new skills. So We decide to start doing the things we needed to repurpose the building. The Bird House is a tiny house so it was a great fit. We wanted to do something that could be useful and beautiful to others. We look forward to having others come and experience the joy The Bird House brings.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The idea for The Bird House came when there was a local sanctuary that had a bird aviary building that housed birds and they decide they needed a new and bigger building to meet their needs. So they were going to demolish it and we decided that we could pay to have the building moved to Kanab and we would fix it up and turn it into a vacation rental. As we were doing all this work by ourselves my husband Jarad had the idea to call it The Bird House since its original purpose was to house birds and the location that we put the house on had an old birdhouse where a pair of birds would raise their young every year. We felt like it was fitting the name for the vacation rental.
