Hot tub, lift, multiple decks and panoramic beach and intercoastal views.

Get your group together and come enjoy the beach year round! Fowl Play is a brand new (construction finished in late 2020 and first rentals in 2021) designed for a big family or multiple family trips. Lots and lots of outdoor deck space with big tall comfy chairs and hammock chairs so you can sit and watch the waves all day. The tall mezzanine deck has a 6-person new hot tub. There are huge picnic tables up and downstairs, and built-in bars on both levels. After a day at the beach you can rinse off in the hot/cold enclosed sand shower downstairs, and clean your shell/fish at the outdoor sink.

This amazing home boasts views up and down Bolivar beach, as well as the intercoastal canal where you can watch the big ships day and night.

For meals, the dining table seats 10, and another 4 at the kitchen bar. In the living room there are two big couches, a recliner and loveseat. The kids will love the XBox for added entertainment.

All bedrooms, the living room and downstairs outdoor kitchen have large flat panel smart TVs.

The mezzanine deck is HUGE and great for entertaining and has hot tub, lots of seating and outdoor kitchen with icemaker. One of the bedrooms and bathrooms is on this level.

All levels have SONOS wireless speaker system.

This home sleeps 10 adults comfortably in beds, but can accommodate 14 guests using the murphy and sofa beds.

Master bedroom - King bed, private bath with double shower and double sinks
Guest room 2 - Queen bed and twin bunk bed (shares bath with guest room 3)
Guest room 3 - Queen bed and twin murphy bed (shares bath with guest room 2)
Guest room 4 - Mezzanine level bedroom (downstairs) with queen bed and twin sleeper. Private bathroom.
Living room - Full size pull out sleeper sofa and twin sleeper sofa.

Amenities - We provide starter set of toilet paper and paper towels, all linens for beds and bath towels are included. We provide starter dishwasher and laundry detergent.

We have 24-hour management to help with any issues. We also offer a local concierge who can arrange cakes, flowers, firewood, groceries, etc. to make your trip wonderful!

A great view, cool house

We loved the decks and the view. The house had all of the cooking devices and implements needed. The property manager was prompt with responding. Apparently, it is very easy to hear everything going on upstairs from the mezzanine bedroom, even talk at normal volume, so keep that in mind.

Short but sweet get away

Location was 10min away from town so it felt a lot more quiet and relaxed. House was gorgeous, clean and well stocked. 1st floor porch was an amazing hangout spot and luggage elevator was a life saver. Within 100 ft from beach, still had fantastic views despite there being a home in-front of the house. FYI future bookers: The Mezzanine floor with queen bed, pullout couch, bath and kitchenette with ice maker is SEPARATE from main kitchen/living room. (They are connected by outside covered stair case) This was perfect for our “Gran” to have her own quiet space. Would also be great for a set of responsible teens. Bunk bed sleepers can’t see tv from their beds if this is a requirement for your kiddos.

Deck with a view

Beautiful home with a fabulous deck for gathering. The view from the deck was perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset over the ocean. Relaxing on the deck with family and enjoying the swings, hot tub and games was amazing and being covered was a plus on the hot days. The owners have thought of everything you might need from beach towels to citronella candles. We reached out once about additional granules for the hot tub and the response time was amazing. They texted back asap and stopped by within a few minutes to refill the supply. The beach was not crowded and perfect for searching for seashells and treasures, but would recommend water shoes due to all the shells. The nice part was it was within walking distance so we could come and go as needed. Plus the house had multiple hoses on each level and an outside shower to rinse off which was nice. Overall, this place was very relaxing and perfect for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for opening your home to us.

We had a great experience at Fowl Play. Very close to the beach. Everything was provided as in the description. The hammock and hammock chairs were a hit with the entire family. Thanks for a great stay.

This home is a beautiful nightmare.

First of all the manager property Stevie listen to neighbors complain instead of the paying customer. I believe a nicer call asking hey why is there so many cars what’s going on instead of acting like she’s 911. The place has cameras everywhere making me feel like there watching me no privacy what so ever. My son’s father came by and surprise my son with a new truck when he was there I ask him to stay and cut the cake with us well Stevie calls me demanding everyone to leave ruin the special moment, while we where cutting the cake. I was busy she called me 4 times and texted me and when I finally answer she was very rude. This was not a party just bbq some burgers and hotdogs no loud music. Just because the neighbor said we had 6 cars. Reminder we booked it for 8 people making 6 cars reasonable. I will never used this property ever it’s beautiful but just not worth the stress.

Perfect location for birding at High Island and enjoying the beach

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach house. The house is brand new, tastefully decorated, and right on the beach. The lift was great for hauling our luggage up and down. We enjoyed the hot tub and grill. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, except for a lemon squeezer. Management was very responsive when a smoke detector ran out of batteries. The person who showed up to deal with the issue was a teenager who didn't seem very competent, but the problem did get resolved quickly with some help from us. Although the decor was beautiful, our only complaint is that there were too many knick knacks cluttering up surfaces. Overall, this is probably the nicest beach house we have stayed at, and we would love to stay there again the next time we are in the area.

Great Girls Getaway!

This location not only has gorgeous views of the water, the house and porches are stunning and welcoming! The amenities are top tier. Cabinets labeled with photos and a property book with instructions and recommendations took any guess work out of the stay that might have popped up. Baskets of beach towels to dry with and cozy blankets to snuggle with were thoughtful touches. Highly recommend for a girls get away or family retreat!

Beautiful, Perfect Property Right by the Beach

My family was coming in for Thanksgiving, and Fowl Play was a perfect gathering spot. It is newly built, very clean, tastefully decorated and had all the amenities of home. We prepared our Thanksgiving feast easily in the well-stocked kitchen, which was stocked with quality cookware, pans, and utensils. The hot tub was a welcome addition, as nights were chilly. The sunrise was enjoyed each morning with cups of coffee, and the many plush blankets that were available in the home were a wonderful, comfy touch. This is a second-row home, but is positioned at an angle so that you feel you're on the front row. In a very short walk, you are on the beach. We had 13 in our party, but you could fit 16 easily, and with an air mattress or two, 18 would still be comfortable with the layout and the space. Perfect place - thank you for the hospitality!

The most amazing beach house experience

We could not have asked for a better beach weekend booking Fowl Play. Wow. We were highly impressed by the quality, layout and design of the home. The amenities are plentiful a and absolutely amazing. The host made us feel welcome and the attention to detail made our stay a breeze. Overall we feel like we were treated like royalty. We will definitely return at our next opportunity. This is the best beach house that we have ever rented, highly highly recommended. 5 Stars!

Great for a girls getaway trip!

What a beautiful place to stay! I loved staying here. The owner was a good communicator. For any of small issues or questions that popped up, those issues were quickly resolved. With us coming at a time a hurricane was expected to head to the coast, they definitely went above and beyond to make sure we knew what was going on. The rooms were clean and we loved the shells everywhere! The shower in the master was also so nice! The location was sweet, so close to the beach! The luggage lift was also such a help so we didn't have to keep walking our stuff up and down the stairs. We will definitely want to come back!

2nd time to stay and we love this house

The first time i stayed with family and everything was perfect so we rebooked to come bavk with friends. Everything was perfect and the owners go above and beyond to welcome guest ans make sure guests have a hige amount of items suppled ao you dont have to pavk your whole house !! I try to leave a place completely cleaned up because we are extremely thankful to get to enjoy their beach home :)

We Never Wanted to Leave....

This house was AMAZING. It is VERY clean. The owner keeps the property as if it is their own primary residence and they have thought of everything to include in the house - high quality kitchen items - everything you could possibly need, plenty of towels, dehumidifiers, robot vacuums, wifi-enabled TV's in every room, sono speakers on every floor. The house was very smartly designed - spacious layout, beautiful decor, the lift was handy on arrival and departure, the breezy 2nd floor, first floor shower and sink - they thought of it all! We also appreciated having plenty of parking spaces within the ropes/chains on the property. Stevie, the property manager, was very responsive and helpful. We loved spending time on the quiet beach, the breezy 2nd floor in the hot tub and on the hammock and hammock chairs. We never wanted to leave, and we hope to book again next year!

Wonderful House, great views of beach. Super clean

The Beach House and property were just as expected super nice, clean, and roomy. Amazing views, beaches are not crowded, and food on that side of the peninsula was much better than expected. If you planning on going into Galveston beware of the ferry. It's a minimum of 20-25 min wait up to 3-4 hour wait at times. I would say on average 1-2 hour wait. The owners were incredibly accommodating and nice.

Loved it!

Excellent rental and very generous owner. First time visiting Bolivar Peninsula and this will be our Texas Beach. We loved that it was low key with very little beach traffic. Great breeze on the porches made it comfortable to spend our time outdoors.

Perfect quiet beach experience

We rented this as a large family and it had plenty of space for us to be in the same place but not on top of each other! It was a beautiful location, nestled in the quiet peninsula, and truly a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed the house and the host and property manager were both amazing!

Luxury home right on the beach

This home was spectacular. No detail was missed. High quality furnishings and decorations. We absolutely LOVED the large ice maker to fill coolers and drinks. The home is a stones throw from the beach and is nice and private with minimal neighbors. We would absolutely stay again and can’t say enough positive things about Crystal. She was so kind and thoughtful throughout our stay! We knew we would have a great stay when we arrived to a bottle of wine!
