Pennsy Ridge Hideaway: Relax in our centrally-located wooded retreat w/ hot tub

Come hideaway in our country retreat in the middle of 14 acres of wooded peacefulness. Enjoy wildlife from a window or from one of two decks while you are still located close to tourist attractions like Strasburg Railroad and minutes from the oldest, continuing farmers' market, Central Market and numerous hiking trails at state parks or conservancies.
Our family has lived here for over twenty years and we would love to share it with visitors. Whether you're a history buff, a adventurer, a shopper, or you're just looking for a little time to rest and restore yourself, our slice of nature is the perfect place to relax. Hot tub is open year-round for your relaxation.

Note: there is a doorbell camera at the front door.

We had the most amazing stay at Pennsy Ridge Hideaway. The house is incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and pristine. The kitchen was well-supplied, so much so that we were able to make a delicious Christmas dinner. The hot tub was a bonus, and the sunrises and sunsets were just gorgeous!

The house was warm and welcoming with a beautiful view. The hosts were fantastic, decorated for the holiday season along with snacks, hot chocolate & coffee. Looking for a great morning breakfast, check out the BrickHouse Coffee & Kitchen only a few minutes away.

The place was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. The only downside was communication — the host ghosted me after promising to refund the pet fee, and I had to involve Vrbo to resolve it. Otherwise, the stay itself was nice.

I have absolutely no criticism other than a slightly musty smell on entry, but it may have been closed up for awhile before our visit. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would ordinarily need. The hot tub was very clean and hot -- so comfortable -- with plastic cups to take beverages outside. There was a well-stocked coffee cart, whoopie pies and fresh flowers to welcome us. We were very delighted with the entire experience.

One of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. We felt right at home. The place was well decorated and our only regret is that we messed up our dates when booking and were only able to stay 1 night instead of 2.The host supplied K-cups and a coffee bar, as well as a nice little basket of fruit and local pretzels. She also had a nice guest book and plenty of brochures of area attractions, etc. Being in nature was wonderful. Would stay here again!

Wow!! I loved this property so much. Me and my fiancé would love to stay again. This place meet our expectations, and I will definitely come again with my in-laws!! Soo clean, and they left us clean water and pretzels as a welcome, I felt so safe and the hot tub was amazing! It felt so private here. Definitely book your stay! It’s so worth it and it’s beautiful outside.

The property is wonderful. Beautiful Townhouse with everything you could imagine. Super Clean! Upstairs and downstairs with Queen size beds , if you want to bring friends. Hostess is amazing making sure you have everything needed. I am a bird photographer and this place was full of many species of birds. I was quite pleased. Also when I didn’t want to cook uber and delivery were available to the property. It was perfect!

Amazing stay!

My mother and I always do a mother-daughter trip to the Amish Country every summer. And we tried VRBO for the first time and came across this place. We fell in love instantly. It feels like home, great little coffee bar, supplies ice and a pitcher of water. The place was immaculate. The hot tub was great, especially at night. Great little hiking trails that I wasn’t aware of and didn’t bring proper shoes for it. So make sure you have sneakers for the little trails. The neighbors we never saw unless the daughter was out who was extremely friendly. Highly recommend this place. Especially if you love NATURE. and just remember, nature brings bugs, and honestly, insects love me and I sat out on the porch downstairs and never got bit once.

A Breath of Fresh Air

This was our first vacation in three years. We had a bucket list if things to do and coming "home" (vrbo) to a beautiful, quiet, relaxing, clean and spacious home was wonderful!! Everything we needed was there for meals prepping, laundry, and our daily fueling of coffee!! Beds were comfy, the hot tub was clean and spacious. The porch with chairs and view while listening to the morning birds and watching the deer was breathtaking!! All good things to say! So many delightful details! Fresh flowers at the table, local treats upon arrival. It felt very personal and very thoughtful.

These owners really know how to treat guests; fresh flowers on the dining room table and on the sofa table, Pantene shampoo and conditioner, room spray, body lotion in the bathrooms, welcome whoopie pies and a fully stocked coffee bar. Everything was above and beyond expectations! Thank you!

Our stay was amazing. The property was exactly what I expected. The inside was very clean. The only thing I would suggest is to spray for ants outside and on the porch, they were everywhere! We would definitely stay again when in the area!

An Excellent and Relaxing Retreat

Both the property and the hosts were delightful. Our family (husband, wife, and toddler) absolutely loved the house. The distance from many touristy things (about 30 minutes in our case) was nice because it helped the house feel like more of a retreat. We would definitely stay here again!Parents, note that the house comes well equipped with some baby/toddler gear which is not mentioned in the listing. Reach out to the very helpful host and you might save yourself some packing!

Amazing Get Away

Beautiful property with so much space. Have 2 levels was a great addition so my Mother could sleep in while I had my coffee. Hot tub was immaculate and such a great way to wind down.

We have put a lot of time into making it our own and continue to enjoy making improvements. We have always taken solace in the outdoors which is what drew us to make it our home. We share this with our daughter and two Newfoundland dogs.
