Golden Get-Away with on site ATV rental

Two Quiet Cabins, 3 Beds, 2 Bath, incredible views, perfect for a vacation or retreat.

The space

Built on solid granite, these cabins sit upon the top of a mountain! As far as you can see, you can hike, or just soak up the majesty from the all-windows sunroom. Full kitchen, laundry, wood stove and pellet stove present, year-round outdoor hot tub, picnic tables, and fire pit. The heated sidewalk allows for no snowy worries and easy access to cabins.
You won't hear any cars, but you will still have cell service. 3gig/day of WiFi included with your visit.
Close to Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Central City/Blackhawk. Walk down to the property pond or hike around all 93 acres!

Two cabins:
The main cabin has 1 bedroom and a loft (sleeps 4), full kitchen, living room and bathroom. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking equipment, dishes flatware, coffee maker, and Keurig. The second cabin is two parts with separate entrances. The upper part of the cabin is a game room with a blow up mattress that sleeps 2. The lower part of the cabin is a one bedroom (sleeps 2), bathroom and laundry. All beds have European down comforters. The master has a cool top Tempur-Pedic mattress and the others are high quality pillowtop mattresses.

You will have full access to both cabins and all 93 acres of land!

Other things to note
During a snowfall, the roads are regularly plowed. The heated sidewalk up to the cabin allows for worry free access.

We ask to be notified of any gatherings with over 8 people.

Incredible spot! Highly recommend for larger parties. We slept six comfortably. An included air mattress and a couple couches can be used for another 2-3. Immaculate views and great trails to explore. Good location between casino, rafting, and Red Rocks for a West Denver vacation. Will book again

Honeymoon trip

My husband and I staying in this cozy cabin as part of our honeymoon trip!! The views from this cabin is spectacular with being on top of the mountains especially right from the hot tub on the deck!!

This is an amazing location! With stunning mountain views and the .silence of nature, we were in our happy place. The overall location was perfect for our Red Rocks Adventure. With nightly hot tub sunsets and star viewing it really was the "Best of All Worlds" !

Beautiful, secluded cabin!

James cabin property was absolutely amazing. The views were gorgeous from the sunroom and balcony. Hot tub was an added bonus. The home is close enough to Denver to be easy to get to, but in the perfect area to still be secluded and give you the remote vibe. James was an awesome host and super easy to communicate with. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone!

Filthy dirty

The place had garbage all over the house from previous renter. Dirty dishes in the cabinet. Bugs every were in the house. This place was a huge disappointment! Literally everything was bad at this rental. Disgusting!!!!!!

Just what we needed

This location is gorgeous. The scenery from the deck and sunroom is amazing. You have everything you need and none of the stuff you don’t. Chipmunks greeted us every morning. The views are breathtaking. You are but 30-45 minutes from several beautiful downtown areas such as Golden, Idaho Springs, and Denver. Estes Park is only an hour away. Loved our stay here.

Great Mountain Top Retreat

This cabin on top of a ridge was exactly what we wanted to have our small celebration. The two cabins joined by a common deck we nicely stocked and clean. The main cabin had just enough room for everyone without losing that log cabin feel. The best part is the sun room and main deck/hot tub area. Just amazing views and great place to relax. The property itself is just amazing with several picnic tables and seating for outside fun as well as plenty of trails to walk and explore. Overall we loved our stay as it was just what we wanted. Will definitely return.

Rustic cabin

The cabin was cute and the surrounding wilderness made for a great rustic retreat. Owner was quick to respond. Only negative is that the cabin was not very clean. Hundreds of dead flies in the upstairs bedroom, grease on the dishes, no top sheets on the beds so you slept beneath the comforter directly, and no paper towels to clean while there. It seemed that the cleaning fee was not being put to use on actual cleaning.

Great property

This is an amazing property. The hiking trails and views are incredible and the hot tub was sparkling clean and so perfect for our stay. The outside picnic table area is also gorgeous. The roads getting to the property are very curvy mountain roads, and it took us about twenty minutes at least to get into Golden from the property so it’s probably not a place you would want to stay at if you were going back and forth a lot. The layout of the cabins also worked for us but is a little unique - the separate “game room” wasn’t really set up for games, and to get to the basement bedroom you have to go outside and around which is a little intimidating in the dark and wouldn’t work for families with young kids in my opinion. But overall the place was clean and the hot tub and view and hiking make it an awesome mountain stay.

Great family getaway

It was expensive but satisfied different personalities overall (adults, teens, kids). The view is indescribable. Pictures don’t do any justice. Communication was fabulous. You’d be doing yourself a complete injustice if you didn’t rent the property’s UTV or bring an ATV of your own. It did get pretty warm during the day and there is no AC. Other than that, very on point to description and we would go again!

Awesome Cabin Experience

The cabins are both big and were well outfitted. The sun room and deck were awesome to use to enjoy the great views. We really enjoyed hiking the property too. This property has the whole package and I would definitely go back.

Fantastic private cabins and hot tub

These cabins and this property had everything we could ask for and more. We stayed in the master of the main cabin and our daughter stayed upstairs in the loft . The wood stove was the best ventilated and clean I've ever used and starting and maintaining the fire was easy , especially with the plentiful wood provided by the host. The kitchen was nice and had tons of usable and nice pots and pans and coffee machines as well as a nice selection of spices etc. We really appreciated that there were some eggs in the refrigerator as we accidently left ours at home , Thank you!! The hot tub is off the back sunroom and was set at a perfect 105 . It was absolutely amazing as it overlooks the whole valley and mountain area. Nighttime soaks were a must for my wife and I and we were lucky to catch the full moon with some snow coming down. Sunsets were stellar from the enclosed sun room and breakfast out there was delightful. The second cabin has a game area upstairs with a pellet stove and plenty of room to play games or just relax. This room would be especially useful with a large family , kids or teens .Downstairs in the second cabin was another bedroom and the laundry area. They have an UTV on site for rent that we had planned on using but there was heavy snow on the ground at the time and we didn't want to risk getting stuck on the trails. Instead, we went hiking and brought one of the sleds from the game room in the second cabin. We found some nice hills to sled and enjoyed a nice walk around the property. We cannot wait to return and rent the UTV to really explore this property as it is just beautiful. Our family really enjoyed all of the DVD's they have and my daughter was thrilled to play some Nintendo switch Mario kart at night. James , the host, has excellent communication and answered every question we had beforehand. Thank you James! Our stay was above and beyond stellar and we plan on returning ASAP.

Once In A Lifetime Views

True log cabin with tremendous sunroom and hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked with thoughtful amenities. Split wood just a few steps from the front door made using the wood stove very convenient. The homeowner was very accessible and replied almost immediately regarding a question we had. The automatic driveway gate made us feel safe. The property has many rock formations which are too magnificent for words. We explored a fraction of the property (due to snow) and felt like we were in another world. There are many trails around the house that we intend to explore the next time we stay at the property (probably in the summertime). The views from the property evolve throughout the days as endless views change with sun/clouds/snow. The privacy is also amazing with other homes within walking distance but absolute solitude in the cabin.

We had been searching for a mountain property near Denver for quite some time before we found this place. This property stood out above all others because of the peace and serenity here.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Despite being only 20 minutes from Golden, the complete silence and absence of the noises and intrusions of civilization make this a unique experience while still having high speed internet access and cell phone coverage. The property is large and filled with hiking and ATV trails which are private and only for our guests. There are both flat areas through groves of Aspen tress as you pass the pond as well as 2 tough mountain climbs on the property.
