Perfect holiday cottage

This is a lovely cottage with good facilities and close to everything. Nicole and Miguel were super hosts, very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this property and hope to come back to stay again.

Stay in Marine Gardens

We had a really wonderful stay in Marine Gardens. Nicole and Miguel gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and had even stocked the fridge with a few essentials to get us started. The location could not be beat - just minutes from the boardwalk with beaches, restaurants, and bars all within easy walking distance.

Great space, great patio and yard, great kitchen to cook in with all needed appliances plus some thoughtful extras like storage containers, plastic sandwich bags, etc. Bedrooms are large with storage space, very nice bathrooms. Close to beaches shopping,

Wonderful Holiday

If I could give them more than 5, I would. This is a beautiful property, in a quiet neighbourhood, yet a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk, beach, shops and restaurants. The cottage is clean, well maintained and bright and airy. The owners, Nicole & Miquel, are special people, always concerned that we were enjoying our stay. A perfect place for a perfect holiday.

There was great communication from the host before we travelled which is always reassuring and helpful. They gave us a lovely welcome when we arrived. The cottage is tucked away from the busy roads and areas but amazingly close to everything. The beach was a couple of minutes, there are a couple of mini markets in small malls a few minutes in either direction for the essentials. We tried a few different beaches but you can't do much better than Rockley/Accra a few minutes walk away with a quieter end you can chill with your own towels, great street food stalls in the middle parking area, or the other end has sunbeds and umbrellas and a great beach bar. The cottage is spacious with decent size bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms with nice showers. It was immaculately clean and the beds were comfy. There isn't anything in the way of a view and there are parking areas next to it so the initial impression might be a bit disappointing, but the garden is a real oasis, well kept and pretty and full of bird life, it was a treat watching hummingbirds while we had breakfast. Take plenty of mozzie repellent though, we initially got very bitten both day and night until we were spraying diligently. There were just two of us and we loved the space and sitting outside on the little patio area, there may be a bit of a shortage of seating in and out if the max 6 people are in the property. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and were sad when the holiday ended.

A tranquil retreat near Accra Beach

Our stay at this location was nothing short of amazing! The proximity to Accra beach just a few meters away and the lively atmosphere of the boardwalk was very convenient. The house itself was pristine, equipped with everything one could need, completed with a beautiful garden that added to the serene ambiance. Waking up to the sight of monkeys passing by definitely added a touch of nature to the experience. Our host Nicole and Miguel were incredibly communicative and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The thoughtful gesture of providing breakfast upon our arrival was truly appreciated and set the tone for the hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and natural beauty during their visit to Barbados. Thank you to Nicole and her family for making our stay unforgettable!

From the moment we booked the place, Nicole communicated with me to get arrival details, to ask if we needed assistance with car rentals or transportation from the airport. The Coconut Cottage is a tropical oasis with beautiful flora and fauna surrounding the cottage. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning watching the parrots, hummingbirds, and we even got to see a family of monkeys cross our field of view. The morning roosters were good in letting us know when daylight was arriving and we enjoyed being away from the Hastings Main Road but being within a 5 minute walk to Rockley Beach and some excellent restaurants like Salt, Shakers, Tapas, and the best fish sandwich at Chicken George near the Accra Resort. We were 2 couples and the cottage was more than big enough (it can accommodate up to 6 people). Beach chairs, beach towels, and cutlery for 4 people are part of the amenities provided. It was greatbto have a fully equipped kitchen. The house was recently renovated so the 2 bathrooms were nicely tiled. The air conditioners in the bedrooms worked well as did the fans in the living areas. Given the beautiful flora surrounding the cottage, it would be wise to equip yourself with bug spray. We found spraying the porch beforehand and putting some skin friendly bug spray on ourselves seemed to work. There are screens on the windows but to get a good cross breeze, you will want to keep the doors open when inside the cottage. Nicole and Miguel were amazing hosts!
