Welcome to The Fig Tree, a lovingly restored 1915 cedar shake cottage just 100 yards from Jacksonville Beach. This historic 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom home sleeps 12 guests comfortably, with each bedroom featuring its own private ensuite bathroom — perfect for multi-generational families and friend groups who value privacy and space.

The charm of old Florida meets modern comfort throughout this traditional Southern beach cottage. Six beautifully appointed bedrooms offer premium linens and Roku TVs, while the updated kitchen and breakfast porch provide gathering spaces for your entire group. The outdoor stairs lead to the second floor (note: no interior stairs to upper level), creating distinct living areas ideal for larger families.

Your group will love the fully stocked kitchen with Keurig coffee maker and Nutribullet blender for easy meal prep, plus in-unit laundry to keep beach clothes fresh. Beach towels and chairs are included, so you can walk straight to the sand without packing extras. The 1-gigabit WiFi keeps everyone connected, while keyless entry makes arrival seamless.

Step outside to discover Jacksonville Beach's best dining within minutes. Walk 6 minutes to Publix for groceries, 10 minutes to Eleven South for mesquite-grilled sea bass, or 12 minutes to the iconic Jacksonville Beach Pier. A quick 3-minute drive takes you to TacoLu for legendary fish tacos or Engine 15 Brewing on the Jax Ale Trail.

Private parking behind the property plus free street parking in front accommodates multiple vehicles. Keyless entry with door code provided day of check-in. Need extra space? Ask about our adjacent event venue, The Fig Room, with group discounts available for booking both properties.

A refundable security deposit or optional damage waiver may be required. Guests will be given the option to choose between a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver prior to check-in.

The fig tree inn was great for our family group. Each room has its own bath and that was a huge help. The host was very helpful and responsive. It is very close to the beach and that was so nice.

Wonderful Vacation Home!!

The home was a wonderful vacation home for my large family! The neighbor behind the rental is very sweet. She even brought us over a couple jars of fig jelly! The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. The only problem about the rental is that it did need a little more dusting and updating, but others wise it was awesome! I’ll definitely be booking again!!

Excellent Family Beach Rental

Our family went to Jacksonville for a football game and we stayed at Fig Tree Property and it was perfect for the 10 of us that stayed. The house had plenty of room and was very clean and extremely well kept.

Went to Jacksonville Beach for Donna Marathon. House was perfect for our group of 12 women. Location was fantastic. Property managers extremely responsive. House exactly as represented in pictures. Highly recommended

lovely, quaint and charming older beach home

we had 5 couples stay for 3 nights. great location to watch our bengsls play jax monday night football. super efficient transportation service into the stadium. frirndly beach bars and restaurants.

Highly Recommend!

The Fig Tree Inn is beautiful, comfortable, and SO CLOSE to the beach. The beds are excellent, linens are great quality, it’s beautifully decorated, and very clean. Hosts were very accommodating. 10/10!

This was perfect for a mini family reunion. Everyone had their own bathroom - key! - and many gathering areas. Steps to the beach was the icing on the cake!

Place was great. Was down with five friends golfing six bedroom six bathrooms, couldn’t ask for anything better. The host and management team were prompt in answering all questions and getting back in a timely manner. Walking distance to the beach highly recommend it Ed.

Annual Family Gathering

Ten family members stayed at the Fig Tree for 3 days and had a wonderful time! We chose the area because of access to the airport, but also found it to be an enjoyable area to walk around and explore. The Fig Tree VRBO was just what we were looking for - plenty of space to eat and play games together, and a bathroom with each of the 6 bedrooms. The house is well-maintained and had everything we needed, which made cooking large meals so much more enjoyable! We would definitely stay there again!

Good . . . But

Nice location and having so many rooms and bathrooms worked well for the family. Needs a deep cleaning. Downstair’s bathroom door handle kept coming off and I got locked in. Had to call family from the beach to get me out. Doors were maligned. Needs to be fixed up. Seems unloved.

We had a very good time. The proximity to the beach was wonderful. Beds were comfortable. Our only two issues was the back door to the porch was locked with no key and Two was the TV on the porch did not have a remote and the soundsdid not work.Om

Family Labor Day Birthday Getaway

Great home and location. Plenty of space for our group of 12. Love that each room has it's own bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and had a lot of spices already there. Perfect home for our relaxing weekend. The beach was just a short walk down the sidewalk. The host was quick to respond when we had a slight issue. We would definitely return.

Beachside Bliss

Came to Jax Beach from St. Augustine for a family wedding. Having 6 bedrooms (a bathroom in each!) and all that outside and porch space and seating was key. Fantastic. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, and in the rare instance we had any issues, management responded instantly. 10 out 10

Family togetherness

Fig Tree Inn was a magical surprise. The pictures don't do it justice. To stay in a home that old but was so beautiful was quite the experience. We are already planning to make this an annual trip at this place. Survey asked for 5 stars but I would give it 100 stars. This is a diamond in the rough. We all loved it!!

Family - annual get away

My family had a wonderful stay at the Fig Tree Inn. The house was build in 1915 and had been renovated very nicely. The six bedrooms and six baths was exactly what we need. All the bedrooms had either King or Queen beds. The house was just 2 blocks from the beach and that was perfect. We were not in the traffic and could just walk over. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and visiting. There was a really nice breeze and it was very homey. I would highly recommend this house and my family would be thrilled to stay again!

My college friends and I get together every year and each year we pick a "host" so this year it was me...which means I picked out the location and the house and then we all split the cost based on mutual trust. Well, this house is definitely not at all what I thought it would be: there were lots of nasty places all over the house - old furniture, gross bandaids under beds, no place for a nice meal or even breakfast that had any air conditioning. The great news here is that I was vocal about all of this as soon as I checked in and I sent over photos. The owner of the property came to see and agreed with us regarding the details I had mentioned. She was wonderful in working with us: she gave us the capacity to use her event space because one of our activities is practicing yoga together since one of us is a yoga teacher. She also let us borrow table cloths and a fan for the outside seating so we could create a nice ambience for our breakfasts and one dinner. That worked out great. The owner also told us that she was committed to upgrading and cleaning up the property to her standards - apparently they own several properties and she hadn't been in this one in a long time. So all this to say that if they have upgraded what is needed then this house is fantastic. I appreciated how responsive the property management and the owner was in this scenario. My girlfriends and I had a great time. Ultimately we didn't spend a ton of time in the house but when we were there we enjoyed

Girls Weekend Getaway!

My group of 6 traveled to JAX beach for a girls trip and Fig Tree was perfect for our stay! The property was very clean and there were plenty of towels, beach towels and kitchen necessities available on site. The host was very responsive and accommodating. This is a spacious property that met all of our needs. Would definitely book again!

Girls trip to JAX beach

Fig Tree was perfect for our weekend girls getaway. The property was spacious, clean and stocked with everything we needed. There was plenty room for each person to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The property was very close to the beach. The owner was highly responsive. Overall, excellent stay and I highly recommend for future stays.
