Built in 1966 by my parents shortly after Lake Hartwell was created, this glass and wood beam lake home combines timeless character with modern comfort—and it's the perfect place for a peaceful winter retreat.

Whether you're looking to relax by the lake, cozy up indoors with loved ones, or enjoy a quiet work-from-home getaway, Rustic Charm is ready for your winter plans.

This open-concept home features a newly renovated kitchen, updated bathrooms, and spacious laundry. With 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, it comfortably sleeps 10–12 guests (or 6–8 adults only). Wraparound porches offer breathtaking views of Big Water, even in winter—perfect for coffee at sunrise or evening drinks bundled up in a blanket.

The private dock with swim platform and covered boat slip is available year-round for mild winter fishing or lakeside relaxation.

Wonderful stay at Lakefront Oasis

We were so lucky to find this gem of a property. Louise was so gracious the entire stay and we felt at home. The property itself is spectacular with views of Lake Hartwell, lots of land, and access to the dock. We enjoyed spending our mornings and evenings on the front porch and loved the large windows throughout the home. The bedrooms were spacious and there was plenty of space for our family. Our teen boys enjoyed swimming in the lake and exploring the property. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be back!

Game Day Getaway

We stayed here last year and loved it so much we booked it again for our game day girls’ weekend. The house is great, the property is beautiful, and the hosts are so accommodating. We hope to make staying here for a game weekend a yearly tradition. Highly recommend.

Great house with amazing views!

We have stayed at this house multiple times and absolutely love it! Very spacious with great kitchen for entertaining and the porch is lined with rocking chairs to take in the breathtaking views. We will be back!

Awesome lake weekend

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was just as fabulous as the first! No complaints about the house at all and you can’t beat the views! The owners are very accommodating as well! We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for a great place for our family to make memories!

Great As Always

This has been the 3rd summer our family has vacationed at the Lakehouse! As always, we couldn’t be more happy with the WHOLE experience of relaxation when we are there! We can’t get enough of the panoramic views, boat rides, fishing, dock swims, cookouts, etc. ALL the fun things and more! Mrs. Louise is such a kind, courteous host who checks to make sure all is well. We are already excited about next summer😉

Absolutely amazing lake house

We have stayed at many vacation homes on Lake Keowee and Lake Hartwell and this one ranks at the top with our family. The house is the perfect lake house. From sitting on the rocking chairs on the expansive porch in the morning or evening enjoying the lake views and deer, to the dock that is in a quiet cove, this house was perfect for our family of 4. The host was super helpful with any requests we had and the neighbors were also very nice and friendly (as they went above and beyond to try and help us when we had boat issues with our boat). Louise and Ernie were the most friendly and gracious hosts. We will be back.

This was absolutely one of our most favorite rentals! The house is very charming and the view is spectacular. We spent so much time on the spacious deck just admiring the lake and property grounds. Jaw dropping view

Amazing historical house with modern upgrades that easily accommodated our family of seven (with beds to spare) and an expansive great room to feed (two refrigerators) and entertain (games galore) the the rest (10) of our family who were staying close by. Dropped jaws was a frequent countenance from the million dollar view of Lake Hartwell. A fresh cut grass lawn welcomed our games of badminton and corn hole. The dock, situated on a quiet cove, had enough decking to provide easy access to the lake. The gracious hostess couldn't have been more helpful. A perfect long weekend even with a brief downpour that ended with a rainbow.

Mid-Century Panoramic Stunner

Hand's down the most beautiful property we've ever rented. Well cared for mid-century home overflowing with charm, and furnished with every amenity you could hope for. GORGEOUS panoramic lakeside views on an expansive property made us feel like we had the lake to ourselves. Our hosts were very responsive to our questions and made us feel welcome. Gorgeous View

This location is absolutely stunning. I was looking for a place on the lake where i could surprise my husband on his 70th birthday with a small party. I realized right away I had chosen the right location driving in and saw about 12 deer in the woods behind the lake house. The panoramic view of the lake from just about every area in the house would be enough; however, sitting outside in one of the several rocking chairs on the wrap around porch is another. There's nothing like summertime in the South listening to crickets chirping and a glass of sweet, iced tea. This place doesn't disappoint on any level. From the serene location to the large, boat dock, you are covered. There was plenty of sitting and sleeping room keenly decorated. Everyone who came was asking "how on earth did you find this place"? That says it all. We will book again for another amazing stay with our family. Louise was a wonderful hostess.
