Treated like special guests

We love the coziness of the Shrimp Cabin or Shrimp Shack as my hubby liked calling it. We encountered an issue and were happy to stay in the room but Christine and her staff immediately responded and took very good care of us. They wanted to ensure we had a great stay and we did!

29th Anniversary Trip

Quick little getaway for our 29th year anniversary!! We enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful. We just had a place to sleep. The bed is supper comfortable. We didn’t cooked. But maybe if we would have stayed longer we would have gone grocery shopping. Would I stay there again. Yes I would. Enjoyed watching the sunrise, and sitting out on dock.

Perfect spot for a fishing trip

We enjoyed our stay in the Shrimp room. It’s nothing fancy but clean, well cared for and exactly how described. Proximity to the water and the ease of getting our boat in and out was the selling point for us. We caught 3 big red fish and a handful of others. A/C was cold and tv worked fine. Goodrich’s Seafood was pretty good, don’t waste your time at Elliot’s. We’d definitely stay again!

Host does not return phone calls or texts, we were there for 1 week. She was no where to be found. We were overcharged, we were quoted in canadian dollars, our bill was for that total but in $ US Automatic Icecube maker is an icecube tray. The kitchen trash can came with 2 bags (that didn’t fit) it was split down the side. We ended up buying our own. You’ll need to buy your own toilet paper as well. Host left us 1 spare. Floors were so dirty, I had to wash them myself. We drove 15 to do our laundry because on site facility could not be found. There is no storage (no closet or dresser for your clothes) Toilet does not flush. However, The view was awesome, we had dolphins every night around 6 pm. I felt very safe there. I had high expectations for this place and was excited to stay here. Things could have been better, if the host was attentive.

Great location

Christine was an amazing host. Great communication from calling while we were on our way down, to checking on us while we were there to make sure we had everything. Place was 5 steps to the water with lots of local places you can walk to and explore. Was peaceful at night sitting outside on the water. We enjoyed every minute and will be returning again!

Waves lap near your door. Saw seven dolphins in a group one day right off the deck, and dolphins every day. Gorgeous moon rises and soft sunsets. Very quiet nautical relaxed area.

Amazing!

Stayed for a week in the Shrimp room. The boat ramp is a great feature making it easy to launch your boat right next to your room. With the dock just steps away from your room door it’s so convenient to hit the waters. The room itself was clean and cozy. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We will definitely be back for another amazing trip!

A little piece of Heaven

My GF and I stayed on the "Shrimp" room with our little pup..and had the best time! Tiny space, perfect for two people that like each other! The "cabin" was well equipped, beautifully decorated and the bed was comfy enough. Open the door and you're a few feet from the water. Don't miss the sunrises...our first morning there was spectacular. The cute comfy chairs out front was the perfect spot to have our morning coffee. You can see dolphins and manatees swimming out in the lagoon. One morning there was a manatee right by the dock..steps from the front door! The place was quiet, and very relaxing. We used the grill..and it worked great. There is a great seafood restaurant walking distance down the road as well as a cute waterfront picnic area. Good communication from owner, and she was very nice. We will be back..with our boat, as soon as we can. Fyi, There is no pool or hot tub, the noseeums were brutal, be prepared. We expected them...being by the water and all. Also, there was no sign by the door that indicated it was the Shrimp room.

Cute

It was a little smaller than we thought but it worked out perfect for my husband and I. Very clean inside the air unit definitely kept us comfortable in there which was a plus!! What we would love most is that it was quite and away from everything!!

Little slice of paradise

Loved our stay in the shrimp room. Clean and cozy. The room is small but has everything you need. One step out the door and you are on the dock. Amazing sunrise views. Loved watching the birds and dolphins swim around. Christine the manager was friendly and fast to respond to any questions I had. Already have plans to return. 😊
