South Whidbey Island Ocean View Beach House with Beach Access

This 2 bedroom newly updated cottage is the perfect beach getaway. It offers a short 2 minute walk (600 feet) to public beach access at the Maxwelton Beach Park, and direct views of the ocean and the Olympic Mountains. Enjoy beautiful sunsets with west-facing views, and a long flat beach community for long walks. At low tide you can walk for miles along the beach. This cottage is the perfect getaway to relax. The one-bedroom downstairs and spacious loft with 3 additional beds upstairs offers versatile sleeping options. Each room has blackout curtains and sound machines to allow restful sleep for each guest. With high-speed internet and desk in the loft, you can work by day, and take a sunset stroll on the beach in the evening. Sip wine from the Adirondack chairs as you watch the sunset or peer over a good book at your view of the water from the loft. The fenced front yard allows room to play and relax. This cottage offers the perfect island getaway.

Please note, when not in use, this home has 2 outdoor security cameras; all cameras face out.

Nice cottage for our Thanksgiving. Wanted to do something different. Best outfitted kitchen we've ever had in a rental. House was spotless. Great entertainment and wifi setup. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful cozy home.

This place had everything we could have wished for. James was awesome and quick to respond I would stay here again for sure. The beds were comfortable. My only suggestion that the place is cleaned poorly. Fridge door not washed. Windows in the entry doors smudged. Such a small thing and easy with a little winded but cleaner is doing a poor job. I suggest better instructions as she tried to meet our needs. Also need to repair shades. Broken upstairs and down. That said I would stay again.

Great weekend on Whidbey

I take an annual trip to Whidbey with my friend and her two kids and I think this is our favorite place of the ones we've stayed in! Perfect space for a small group or family. Great info provided ahead of time and fast responses to any questions. And I think this is the most well-stocked rental property I have ever visited as far as extra linens, extra blankets, kitchen equipment/utensils, etc. And right across from a beautiful sunset view!

Absolute perfection

We had an incredible time at the beach house! I was impressed by the pictures, but in person it was stunning. The kitchen was well stocked and they included fresh water for us. Communication was easy and we had no problems. The beds were extremely comfortable. The house being a block away from the beach was perfect. It was a home away from home and we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect cottage

We had a great time with a group of girlfriends in this adorable cottage. The owners were so kind and very responsive. The house had so many amenities which was so helpful for our group. Perfect trip away to the island!!

Cute, cozy house for families

My family had a great weekend stay at this sweet, clean, quiet and comfortable house. There was plenty of space for the four of us, and my kids loved the adorable (and spacious) loft space. The house isn't beachfront, but the beach-access park was just down the street and there's a decent view from the windows. Overall, a great house, we'd stay again

Cozy and peaceful cottage

We loved our stay at this charming and cozy beach house. Kitchen was well stocked, loft area was magical, and the kid toys and games were appreciated. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice and quiet

This was a wonderful get away. The beach is across the street. The entrance in just down the road. A beautiful view can be seen from the upstairs loft room. The loft room is a wonderful place the the kids. The adult bedroom was a little small but comfortable. The kitchen and family area was perfect. We had a great time.

Delightful!

We were so happy with this delightful and charming beach cottage with amazing views of the Olympic Mountains. We only wish we had had more time to relax and enjoy it! Note to future renters - the coffee maker is a Keurig, so you may want to bring some pods. :)

Charming Beach Cottage

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. The views through the front room are spectacular and the home was very charming and comfortable. The hosts were gracious and welcoming. We appreciated having access to air conditioning in the top bedroom because it was very hot when we visited. Having nearby access to a park and public beach really made it a great spot for my family— the kids loved both of these.

Quiet and a lovely view

This house was perfect for my boyfriend and I to work remotely for a week. The water view across the street was fantastic. The only thing missing was laundry, but I went into town to the laundromat and that worked just fine. I would stay here again as this place had it all!

So good I had to come back!

I stayed here a few weeks ago and it was such a good experience I wanted to come back once more before I moved. This place is just absolutely lovely. It’s so relaxing and a wonderful place to spend a quiet few days.

Absolutely Wonderful

I’m so glad I found this place. It is truly wonderful. It is exactly as described and just perfect. The neighborhood is quiet and the walks on the beach are so enjoyable. I can’t recommend staying here enough. It’s like finding a little spot of heaven.

Cozy cottage

Our family enjoyed our stay at the beach house. It was only a short walk to the beach and a fun, quiet little community to come home to after exploring Whidbey each day. We'd definitely come again.

Sweet little cottage!

We booked this as a quick last minute get away for my family and the owners accommodated us very easily. Our 3 year old absolutely loved the the loft and that we could all stay in the same room. They even had a crib which was a huge bonus for baby. There is even an extra bedroom downstairs grandparents can stay in. There were very clear instructions from the owners where everything was. It was very clean and comfortable. The public beach is only a 2 minute walk and you can walk down the beach for miles when the tide is down! It was a wonderful stay and we will be back soon!

Fun spring break staycation

The location if this adorable cabin is perfect, just a two minute walk to the beach. The cabin is clean and cheery and very kid friendly with the loft. The stairs are steep and kids needed some practice going up and down but by the end of the first day they had it figured out. Owners were very easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. The well water is ok for showers and dishes but I would suggest bringing up your own water. The owners provide some to get you started but its not enough for all your needs. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Our family lives in Bothell, Washington but our hearts are on Whidbey Island. This is our family cottage that holds a special history in our family. My wife's parents used to own a home on Maxwelton, and she has many fond memories at this beach. It has been our dream to raise our 2 young daughters spending time on Whidbey, and now we are delighted to share share the magic of this unique location with others as well. We hope you too can create lasting memories of Whidbey Island.
