Welcome to “Ocean Overlook”, your home away from home, located in the Marazul Dive Resort. Marazul Dive Resort is a quiet, family-friendly, gated community with lots of amenities. We’re proud of our newly-renovated 2-story, 1 BR, 2 full bathroom townhome. This unit, 8B, is one of the prime units in the resort due to its unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea, seclusion from noise, proximity to the pool, and sea access.
Curaçao is known for its fantastic diving, snorkeling, beaches, and specialty liquor. Just yards away from the front porch, you can find steps leading to the water for snorkeling and diving. Snorkel gear is available from the resort and diving gear and lessons are available from a nearby shop. For a more leisurely activity, you can lounge by the resort pool or take a short walk to the Playa Forti beach. Walk a bit further to the Playa Grandi beach and you can snorkel with turtles or buy fresh fish straight from local fisherman to bring back to the house’s fully equipped kitchen.
The newly-updated kitchen comes with a full-size refrigerator with freezer, cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, pots, pans, and utensils. If you plan on cooking during your stay, there is a large grocery store, Centrum, located near the airport. New California Market is now open in Terra Cora. It is not as large as Centrum, but does have a good selection. If you can’t resist the allure of the local cuisine, there are 3 restaurants within walking distance that serve food and alcohol. There are also others within a short drive.
Renting a car will unlock the rest of the island’s wonders for you. The capital of Willemstad is a Unesco World Heritage site with a long and fascinating history. Its modern districts offer a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Experience Curaçao’s sea life at the Curaçao Sea Aquarium, or walk the land by hiking the trails of the Christoffel National Park and Shete Boca National Park. Curaçao truly has something to offer everyone.
When you are ready to come back to the house, you can retire to the upstairs suite with a king size bed, full bath, additional space for cot or crib and walk-out balcony. Downstairs you’ll find an open concept kitchen, dining room, living room with a smart TV, a trundle bed, another full bathroom, and walk-out patio. The patio has been enlarged to accommodate more chairs and has an awning to make it more enjoyable. Each floor has ceiling fans, screened doors and windows so that you can enjoy the constant ocean breeze, along with AC units just in case. We supply sheets, bath and beach towels, and a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap.
We absolutely fell in love with Curaçao, and we think you will too. In our minds, nothing beats sitting out on the balcony together with our favorite drinks watching the beautiful sunset. If you are ready to come experience everything Curaçao has to offer, then 8B is the place to be.
