The "Sage" Cottage is a serene escape for people looking to relax and enjoy Sunsets, Beach Life, Campfires and Lakeshore activities between Pentwater & Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The Sage represents a step back in time to a place of Peace & Tranquility.. A place to rest and breath in the clean Lake Michigan Air. Our large deck is literally at the waters edge. We try to provide all our Guests with a Special Experience in a very clean & modern Cottage.

We LOVED this cottage!

Perfect location right on Lake MI. Short stroll to semi-private beach with good entertaining views of buggy driving area. Cottage had nice styling and amenities with big windows to enjoy the magnificent view. We would definitely stay here again!

The view of Lake Michigan from this cottage was outstanding. The inside was well organized and comfortable. This cottage is air conditioning, which made it really nice when the weather was hot. It also has a washer and dryer which made the family stay much easier in regards to keeping up with towels and clothing. But best of all was having plenty of room for people to eat outside. There were a couple of evenings when other family members joined us for a meal and there were no problems with seating because everyone ate outside, and with a small buffet inside. Overall, this was an excellent stay.

The property is exactly what is listed. Beautiful view of lake Michigan. Check in was seamless and the golf cart was perfect for the trip down to the beach. Great family trip for my husband and my adult kids.

Tween says “best vacation in awhile”

We loved this property! Both kids really enjoyed the nightly golf cart rides. We used the beach, met friends at the dunes, and did all things touristy. But the best was the view. We live on a lake and have a sunset view but this just doesn’t compare. We will definitely stay again.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay and this property! The view is absolutely breathtaking. You are a very short walk to the beach and the sand dunes. Quick trip into town for necessities. So much fun stuff to do with the (older) kids in the area. The property was very clean and comfortable. Amazing stay, we will definitely be back!

Loved every minute of this stay!

The house was perfect and just as described in the listing and pics. Our family was so comfortable and loved the cute home and awesome location! The beach was so close and clean and the lil ones liked riding the golf cart to it. Being able to see all the action on the dunes right there too was amazing! Sunsets here are beautiful. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and responsive. We had a great trip at The Sage and we highly recommend this property.

Nice Property But Dunes Are Loud

We knew the ORV area was nearby prior to arrival and I appreciated that. The cottage was small but clean and the view was beautiful. It worked for my husband, 14yo daughter, and her friend. The beach was crowded with people parked at the dunes and the ORVs were loud. We ended up packing up our cooler and beach stuff and headed down to Cedar Point park, a less than 10 minute drive,, and which is small but nice and quiet. If you're going there to ride the dunes, you'll love it, if not, the cottage is a very nice, clean place to stay, and mornings on the deck with fresh coffee are lovely until about 10 am.

The house is right on the water and just a short walk to a great beach. Regretfully, our stay happened to coinside with a cold front preventing us from enjoying the beach or the lake. You enter the house thru a bedroom with a full size bed. There's a 2nd room with 2 twin beds, otherwise you're sleeping on the sun porch or pull out couch in the main room. The cottages are rather close together. Luckily, we were leaving as everyone was arriving for the long Labor Day weekend. We would have enjoyed it so much more if we'd been at the beach all day as we planned. There's no oven, just an electric cook top. We had to move a propane tank from a table on the last night in order to use the grill because that tank was empty. There was a third propane tank that gave us about a half hour of flame before it was empty as well. Just little hassles. Oh, be warned about the shower. It'll be hot and then get cold, for no apparent reason, then get hot again. All in all I'd give it a 10 if it hadn't been so darn cold!

My family and myself stayed at the sage. The stay was amazing!!! Its close to dunes if that is something your interested in. My children had a great time at the beach which is right down from the house. The breathtaking views are all you need. The view is unlike any other. The owner is quick to respond and is very friendly. I can't wait to stay next year.

Our family stayed at the Sage house. The view was absolutely lovely. The house was clean and well maintained. Our hosts were very responsive and gave us suggestions of local sightseeing. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was easy to access.

Peaceful paradise

Stunningly remodeled with sharp interior and a view that won't quit! The wrap around deck is fantastic for lounging and enjoying the peaceful waters of Lake Michigan. Lots of outdoor seating and the grill setup is wonderful as well. Beach is just a short walk away. Very responsive host as well! We made great memories and look forward to returning!

Were the previous Owners of Silver lake Rentals! we've owned property in the area since 2002... I grew up here and decided to come back and Purchase the "Sage" in 2019. Were both Retired and love the lakeshore area. We spent a lot of time tweaking the "Sage" to the Bohemian Beauty she deserves to be. Its a step back in the 1960's with very Modern upgrades including the Premium Kitchen, Bathroom, Fancy Linens and all New Beds.

The Sage was the very first property developed on the Bluff......In Juniper Beach. I am only the 3rd owner... This Cottage has had only Loving hands on it and we hope to find a solid renter base that takes care of it and loves it as much as we do! The Views are the best in the Sub...the cottage has been fully Modernized and has a bohemian feel that's very relaxing. This is not a Loud party place, its beautiful and Serene and Unique. This is a place to relax! We can provide referrals for dining & Spa Massage very close by as well.
