This home offers comfortable furnishings with a laid back coastal vibe. This home accommodates up to 8 guests in three en suite bedrooms with plenty of room for hanging out together in the open living and kitchen area. Full size washer and dryer is located on the main level just off the living area with the 1/2 bath. This home is located in the gated community of Barefoot Cottages which has two community pools and a hot tub. It is also conveniently located to the public beach access and the convenience of all the local dining and shopping in downtown Port St. Joe.

We have stayed at the Barefoot Cottages often and this unit is one of the best. Very nice clean property, quiet, zero problems and total relaxation. If available we would definitely stay again. My wife and I love to visit crooked island, cape san blas, and mexico beach. We had a great time one evening catching one whiting after another off the beach.

Great place for our group with two couples. Plenty of space to spread out and good gathering area on main floor. Great location near Port St Joe. Highly recommend

Exactly what we were looking for

“Hippies Nest” was was everything we were hoping it would be and then some. We’ve usually stayed along 30A but prices drove us to try Port Saint Joe and we have found our new yearly beach location. There were several beaches accesses to choose from and all of them were beautiful with hardly anyone there (mid May). The restaurants and shopping had everything we needed but without the frills of being overly touristy. We felt like we were surrounded by locals.The neighborhood is such a gem. I didn’t quite understand how nestled back away from the parking lot the houses (and specifically this one) are but honestly we loved it. The neighborhood provided carts which made taking luggage or groceries back and forth a breeze. And because this house is at the end of the sidewalk, it felt so private. I could sit on the front porch with coffee and felt like I was in a forest. The pool was great, my family loved hanging out there after a long day on the beach.The house its self was more stocked than any vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in. Tons of dish soap, detergent, toilet paper, plastic wrap, etc to get us started. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was extremely clean.Amanda was great and always responded quickly. We had a couple of hiccups with the A/C but she sent someone out immediately both times, and even the servicemen were friendly.We loved our stay at Hippies Nest and hope to be back!!!

Great stay at Hippies Nest

Very clean and welcoming in a secure gated community. Kitchen and baths were well stocked even for a long stay. Loved the screened porches and main floor laundry. Amanda was great to work with before and during our stay.

Hippie’s Neat went beyond out expectation!

Great home. Very clean. Lots of space and Amanda has everything from beach chairs and toys, Tupperware, extra towels and blankets to a forgotten toothbrush! Hoping to return to Port St, Joe again very soon!

Fantastic Beach Cottage!

The owner was incredibly accommodating and communicative, and this is a beautiful/perfect location to stay for a relaxed and enjoyable beach vacation. The cottage was well cared for, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed! Can’t wait to return and do it all over again!

Hippie’s Nest Getaway

We had a wonderful week at Hippie’s Nest! The property has everything needed for a beach getaway & more. The house is conveniently located at the end of the row of homes, which allows for privacy while still in a community feel. This was our 3rd trip to the Port St Joe area & our favorite rental yet!

Hippie's Nest - A Perfect Vacation Oasis

Hippie's Nest is located perfectly amongst the beach towns of Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas. The grounds of the gated community were impeccable. My family rents a beach house every year for my daughter's birthday. We didn't travel in 2020 because of COVID, but Hippie's Nest was the perfect space for our trip. The house was perfectly equipped with everything we needed, including multiple coffee makers, plenty of towels, and a first aid kit. The cleaning crew did an amazing job as the house was clean and smelled great when we arrived. We hope to stay at this beautiful home when we travel again.
