Relaxing, comfortable home for entertaining or enjoying the view

Come home and relax with a glass of wine or tea while enjoying the ultimate View of the city lights and the mountains. This home was remodeled to capture all that Albuquerque has to offer. The large, gourmet kitchen is open to the family room and office area, and is loaded with everything you need for cooking. A drink refrigerator and trash compactor accompany the kitchen. The bedrooms all have very comfortable beds with new, fresh linens. The baths come with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Whether you are here for a short stay or for work; the neighborhood has every you might need. Groceries, shopping, gym and restaurants are just a 2 minute drive. There are several parks within walking distance. There is a 2.5 mile walking trail just behind the house on the bluff. I am a Realtor.

Regarding any PETS; we welcome all of your babies and travel companions with no extra fee. We just ask the parents be respectful for our home, furniture, and the next guest. Please DO NOT allow your pets on ANY furniture without covering it with a sheet. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS FOR THIS. Pick the yard up before you depart. Always put your pet in its kennel before you leave. PLEASE BRING YOUR PETS KENNEL FOR THIS. And clean up any messes they've made. My cleaning people are instructed to call me, as soon as they get to a home, when they see evidence of a pet. Including an odor. We will take pictures, and there will be a $500 charge for breaking these rules. NO EXCEPTIONS

The house was very comfortable and clean. The view of the balloons was phenomenal I do think the tv could have been more accommodating for the price but all in all a good experience

Beautiful views out the back door that are a focal point of the kitchen and living room. Great location on Albuquerque's west side. Very close to restaurants and grocery stores. We had a great stay!

Hidden Gem

The house is in a quiet neighborhood with a panoramic view of the mountains and Albuquerque. The Rio Grande River is close by along with many walking trails. If you’re awake early, you’ll see hot air balloons floating in the distance. It was a wonderfully maintained house and we’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the Albuquerque area.

Perfectly Peaceful

The property is the perfect place to rest and relax. We had family business to attend to and after a long stressful day, the house was the perfect place to unwind and organize for the next days events. I would definitely book this property again the next time we come out to visit.

Good to Be Back

This is the second time we've stayed at this particular house in Rio Rancho and we hope to make it a yearly visit! I'm already missing that view of the Sandia mountain and Albuquerque at night.

Views, views, views...

Online pictures of the home are good, but they don't do it justice. The kitchen was a fun gathering area, and the living room was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular mountain views. Evening views of the city lights were also remarkable. Located in a friendly and quiet neighborhood away from busy intersections. Walking the nearby trail is a must. Will definitely stay here again.

Villa Verde View

Family of 5 in town for family wedding. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Verde. Beautiful home, spectacular views of the mountains by day and city lights at night, wonderful amenities, conveniently located, easy check in and out! We hope to have an opportunity to stay again! Spring in New Mexico

Our second visit here. Property and location does not disappoint. 3 nights ago watched the full moon rise over the Sandias with ABQ laid out below. Most spectacular moonrise I’ve seen in 75+ years on this planet. A true gift of good fortune.

Million Dollar Views

Gorgeous view overlooking Corrales and Sandia Mts. Ate on patio every meal. Great accommodations, well laid out and appointed. Close to everything in Rio Rancho. Quiet neighborhood, morning walks on nearby trail peachy. We super enjoyed our stay- will be returning!

Nice and quiet, amazing views. No cat dander, not sure what previous reviews mentioned but I'm allergic to cats and had no issues and saw no evidence of animal dander. Very comfortable place.

Fabulous view and kitchen/family area

Not only does this property have the best view ever but we were fortunate to see 15 hot air balloons launch from our vantage point in the backyard. Everything about this home is as advertised, except there are 2 bathrooms (the VRBO listing states just one). As far as we're concerned, this is the best rental property in ABQ.

Wonderful view & Well appointed

EVERYTHING one could possibly need was provided and the home was very well kept & clean. The view of ABQ & the Sandias Mtns was amazing & we enjoyed coffee in the mornings and dinners outside in the evenings. And Jenny was super easy to work with throughout the entire process, start to finish.

A place to get away

My staff and I stayed at the property during Fiesta and found it the perfect get away from the hubbub of the festival chaos. We especially enjoyed the kitchen which suited many cooks in one space as we had several different dietary needs. Although we had some check in difficulties Jenny was on top of trying to resolve the issue. I don’t expect it to be a reoccurring one. I highly recommend this as a quiet getaway while in the ABQ area.

beautiful house, beautiful view. enjoyed our stay. a bit of a smell in the living room (from the kitchen sink, i think). master bed is this majestic four-poster, but the mattress may be a bit hard for some. denied late checkout, but that's fair. house cleaner entered the house at exactly 11:00.

As beautiful as it looks!

We loved our stay at this lovely home in Rio Rancho. Out the front door and turn left about 100 feet to an awesome running trail. Neighbors were friendly. The host replied promptly to any questions. We were busy with graduation activities and wished we had even more time to hang out and enjoy the views. I am grateful the house pleased everyone, including me. Thank you.

Beautiful home with Amazing views!

Our stay here exceeded our expectations! The kitchen and living room area are beautifully modern, yet Jenny managed to keep the southwestern charm. She provided all the necessary essentials, plus so much more. We've stayed in other VBRO properties where that was not the case. The views of the city and mountains were truly incredible from all the areas in the back of the home. We enjoyed our coffee on the well appointed patio every morning. Jenny, we can't thank you enough for opening up this home to us, we will definitely be staying here when we visit family in the future.

Rio Rancho Keeper

This was our second stay at this property. We were here in November of 2021 and returned this April. It is a great property. Kitchen is an outstanding space to prepare meals and dine in. Love the terrific counter space. Nice office work space if you feel you need to do business while on vacation. The view of Albuquerque and the Sandias by day or night is hypnotic. Also a convenient patio space for smoking a cigar and having a cocktail or two with the view. Beds are comfortable. Finally the neighborhood is quite and easy to access. Also necessary shopping - Albertsons, Target CVS Walgreens Starbucks, Phillips 66 and Valero are all near by and readily accessable.

Beautiful House, Awesome View

I can’t say enough good things about this house or about Jenny Kilngler, the hostess. We have rented from Jenny four times, each time a different house and they have all been great—clean, beautifully decorated and well-stocked with everything we needed. Jenny is so friendly and quick to respond to any message I send. But we’ve never had a problem, just occasional questions, always promptly answered. This house is our favorite out of all we stayed in. Beautifully decorated, comfy beds, clean rooms including kitchen and bathroom, two back porches, and oh, the view! The house is located on a ridge with a strip of open space behind it, so there is nothing to block a superb view of the Sandia Mountains by day and dazzling city lights at night. There are quail in the open strip area too! The house is close to shopping and restaurants. I am a person with physical challenges and walk with a cane but the house is really pretty accessible—easy to get in and out through the inside garage door, one step down to the porches, and a step-in shower in the master bathroom. One thing I did want to mention—the king bed in the master bedroom is pretty high, definitely higher than it looks in the picture. But a very nice and sturdy footstool has been thoughtfully provided for short legged people like me—thanks, Jenny! Sadly, we probably won’t be visiting Rio Rancho too much any more as our family just moved away. But we encourage everyone else to rent from Jenny!!

Amazing views, fantastic house, will be great!

This is an amazing house, thoughtfully remodeled to focus on light and views. We loved the open kitchen and spent 90% of our time here. The kids loved the fun lighting, the stuffed animals, and found comfortable spots to set up (coloring, reading) without being ‘lost’. Mildly esoteric decor. Outstanding views. Close to bike/running path. A bit out from ABQ but certainly quieter. 5 stars and then some. We were surprised to see that the same level of thoughtfulness and detail was not given to the cleaning and overall state of the house. Upon arrival, we found the kitchen trash had not been emptied, cat food sprinkled on the patio, the dryer full of someone else’s laundry, the master toilet was recently stained, vacuum left in the living room, tables outside had to be hosed off, and the fridge was full of half eaten leftovers, jars, condiments, etc. During COVID. After a 10 hour drive, and a late arrival, the last thing I wanted to do was clean out and scrub the fridge, sanitize the bathrooms, etc. This made us wary and we washed all of our dishes prior to use. Also know that this is a cat house, and has been heavily smoked in for a very long time, particularly it seems in the garage. It was hard to even walk through the garage, and we had to keep the windows open in the adjacent bedrooms for the week. If you are sensitive this could be a deal breaker. The owner dropped off the check-out sheet while we were there so it seems she is still working out the kinks (wrong entry code posted on VRBO, no propane for the grill, etc, etc, etc). Once a decent cleaning crew is found, a few guests have come through to help point out other details, and the cat/smoke is aired out a bit, this could be our go-to recommendation for the area. Really wanted to give 5 stars, but as honest travelers, there is still a ways to go.

This is my 5th home to transform in to a furnished rental. I bought this home in 2019 and lived there while I completely remodeled. I tore off the backside of the house and added all windows to capture the views. It's in a great location, in the heart of Rio Rancho. These homes are my retirement plan, so, take this very seriously. I also help Seniors downsize and move as well as own my own Real Estate firm. I'm keep very busy but I have a staff that helps me.....or I might lose my mind...lol

The home was built in 1972 with the old style floorplan. Front room, separate den, separate dining. Then someone along the way, added an enclosed patio. All the walls were blocking this fabulous view. So, I bought the house and completely tore off the backside of the house and made it bigger with a bunch of windows. I also took out walls and opened the house up so you can see out the windows. It's was an incredible makeover
