Located in Spinnakers Reach on Emerald Isle, the westernmost island of Bogue banks, this recently renovated 1/2 duplex offers the best of both tranquility and convenience. On the main level, you'll enjoy an open floor plan, perfect for entertaining with lots of natural light. Take in the ocean views while you prepare a meal in our updated kitchen or forego the dishes and enjoy take-out on the over-sized table with room enough for ten. Once dinner is complete, walk out on the large, private deck to take in the sunset or stroll down our boardwalk to the beach. Wash your feet off in the private outdoor shower, located below the main level deck.
Back on the main level, you'll find a bunk room with four twin beds, perfect for younger guests or those young-at-heart. Upstairs, our guests have the option of a king suite with a private balcony and bathroom with a jetted tub or two other additional bedrooms. The first, a king room, also features a private balcony with ocean views. This room shares a full bath with the third bedroom, complete with two double beds.
The ground floor features a finished garage complete with air conditioning, pool table, couch, tables and chairs, and television - a perfect additional entertainment space.
We are available via text, phone, or email.

We purchased Cassimir in 2021, hoping for more time in the sand and sunshine with our crew. As a military family, we've moved a lot and have lived in plenty of coastal towns, but we decided to put down some roots here in Emerald Isle. Kyle grew up nearby and spent lots of time on these beaches as kid, while Paige lived in Colorado and spent more time in the snow. Owning a beach house has been a long-time dream of ours and we're so excited to share our home with you during your stay. You might leave with a little sand, but we hope you also leave with plenty of wonderful memories!

Our properties are named after some of the hundreds of shipwrecks in the shallow waters off the coast of the North Carolina barrier islands. In February of 1942, Captain J.A. Bodman and his crew of 36 left Santiago, Cuba reroute back to Baltimore in the 390’ transport ship, Cassimir, after unloading molasses to be used in the rum-making process. On the morning of February 26, 1942, the Cassimir was moving through a dense fog about 50 miles east of the tip of Frying Pan Shoals. Also moving through the fog was the freighter, Lara. The ships were unable to change course and the bow of the Lara ran full speed into the starboard side of the Cassimir at amidships. Two lifeboats were launched and all but six of the crew were rescued by the Lara. The Cassimir floated North for several hours before sinking approximately 40 miles east of the Masonboro Inlet. Today, the Cassimir, also known as the WR-2 wreck, is one of the prettiest dive sites on the North Carolina coast.

Because the damage waiver fee is non-refundable; if a guest changes properties for any reason they will be charged a new damage waiver fee for the new property.
