Amazing place in an amazing location

We absolutely loved our stay at TWT. The property has lovely views of both the ocean and the nearby shops and restaurants. Jonathan was an excellent host and very communicative. We had such a relaxing time and TWT had everything we needed from comfortable bedrooms to a nice living room dining room area, kitchen, and the outdoor deck area. Would definitely recommend (and would go back)!

Lovely get away!

Our family trip was really enhanced by our visit to Tuna Warf at Rockport. The host was very courteous and help. The quaint shopping area with a wide selection of foods was just steps away. The only thing to be said about the view is "W0W!"

The view is amazing, the owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Special touches such as fresh flowers and scented soaps. Great recommendations for area restaurants and coffee. Very comfortable bedding and the kitchen is stocked. Can’t say enough good things, felt like our own special townhome on the ocean

Short but Sweet

Even though our stay was a short one, we had an amazing time. Jonathan was so helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome to the area. The place is absolutely adorable and the amenities were plentiful. The view from the living area and deck were so relaxing we hated having to leave.

Wonderful place to stay

From reserving this property to checking out, our host was BEYOND accommodating. In the heart of the artist, shops and restaurants this place has it all. The views are outstanding. Jonathan is by far the best host we have ever had. What a wonderful experience. Now the bar is set high.

Perfect seaside village escape!!

Great location with so many things to do: Hiking on the beautiful beaches and parks, boating, kayaking, whale watching, you name it! Plenty of restaurants and shops and the Tuna Wharf Town House topped it off with many comforts, including a comfortable bed and great nights sleep listening to the waves outside. Kitchen was perfect w/ great deck too if you choose to just stay and enjoy the surroundings. Jonathan was great, as he recommended numerous stops in the area and was ready for anything that came up. If you choose to be in the New England area at all, check this place out! AAAAA++++

Exceptional Stay in Rockport

We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed for the whole season! Rockport comes to life during the holidays and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tuna Wharf Townhouse. The host, Jonathan, went above and beyond for us. The location on Bearskin Neck can’t be beat and the views of the harbor are beautiful. The unit itself is well appointed with designer and artistic touches. This was the perfect getaway. Highly recommend!

Unbelievable location

A two-bedroom condo on a wharf jutting into the harbor with dedicated parking? Incredible, right? But it is even more amazing than that! Great kitchen, warm and inviting living/dining area, a deck overlooking the harbor - this is THE place to rent in Rockport. You park and walk everywhere. Shops and restaurants steps away. Highly recommend!

Quite and Quaint

This is a little slice of heaven. You wake up to the crashing waves and a gorgeous view, in a town that is absolutely adorable. Johnathan was so helpful with recommendations and assisting us with our trip. If you make the journey you have to have breakfast at Sugar Magnolias, and eat the lobster rolls at SeaPort Grille. This was an amazing trip and we cant thank you enough Johnathan for everything. We cant wait to return. Thank you so much for all the hospitality.

The Perfect Stay

From the moment we contacted Jonathan about the rental we had constant communication. We have been vacationing in Rockport for 40 years and this was the place we always wanted to rent. House was better than advertised. beautiful view of the harbor, clean, comfortable, and the perfect location. We arrived late at night and were greeted with a selection of local beverages and snacks. Johnathan had plenty of books, magazines, and brochures to guide you through the Cape Ann area. The local folks in the immediate vicinity of the rental were welcoming and friendly. We look forward to booking our next stay

The Tuna Wharf Townhouse exceeded all of our expectations! It was so thoughtfully updated and decorated and felt like a home, rather than a rental. Furniture and beds were all very comfortable, and there were great views from every window. Sunrise each morning was spectacular! And Jonathan…what a wonderful host! He met us there and showed us everything we needed to know about TWT and OMG…he had the kitchen fully stocked with beverages and goodies to be enjoyed during the stay. I really cannot say enough good things about this VRBO; truly top-notch and the best we have ever rented. We love Rockport and if we go back again without the dog, we will book TWT again without hesitation.

The Most Cozy Place in Cape Ann!

I can not express enough how amazing our experience and stay was at TWT in Rockport MA. We’ve stayed all across the USA using VRBO’s and this spot beats them all. The website photos are great but the scenic views in person are amazing. This home sits on the water with picture perfect Sunrise views. Perfectly located within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in the area. With all that said, I saved the best for last, you absolutely WILL NOT find a better Host than, Jonathan. He is hands down the best, from leading up to our arrival to following up after we checked out to make sure we found our next destination ok. Jonathan is kind, thoughtful and was imperative to our fantastic experience. Thank you again Jonathan for allowing us to experience your slice of paradise in Cape Ann. 10/10

Loved the location!

We had a wonderful stay at the property in Bearskin Neck. Absolutely loved the view of the water out of virtually every window! It was constantly changing with the position of the sun, the weather (had a beautifully misty day or so) and of course, the tides. We never tired of enjoying our coffee or evening cocktails in the same sweet spot by the huge window! In other weather, we would have spent that time in the truly inviting outdoor seating area, but as it was we just soaked up the view from inside and couldn't have been happier. The kitchen is also lovely, well stocked and has been recently updated from the looks of it- just beautiful! We spent 3 days in the area, taking a whale watching cruise (7 Seas in Gloucester was wonderful!), a day trip to Boston, and a day on foot exploring the shops and restaurants right out the door! Wouldn't change a thing!

Cozy!

This little place is extremely centrally located to all things Rockport. You can pretty much walk anywhere. Very nice living quarters, and after the scheduled renovation of the downstairs bathroom, it will be even MORE luxurious! We went in October and the area was still very busy. I can imagine summer would be even more so. I will say the stairs up to the place and up to the second floor are quite steep. Certainly doable but if you have any knee issues at all, it might be a consideration. The washing machine is quite small. If you have a lot of laundry, just look for a laundromat close by. Jonathan is a wonderful host and full of information and recommendations. Wish we could have stayed longer. It is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Couldn’t be any better!

Right from the start, Jonathon was there to greet us, help us get established in his cozy, clean, comfortable well appointed and felt like home condo! Did I mention the view yet? It was spectacular in the morning with coffee, in the late afternoon with cocktails and in the evening with the moonlight. We could not have been any more pleased than we were. Plenty of room for the 4 of us, without stepping on or over each other. Any questions posed to Jonathon in person or via text, were answered promptly. We lived in town back in the 80’s so we were familiar with the area, but if you’re not, the many books and periodicals available will get you up to snuff pretty quickly. We picked our weekend trip to Rockport to relive our memories of the Christmas festivities once shared with our now adult children, and the town did not disappoint! Our friends who joined us enjoyed their visit too! Thank you Jonathon for your kindness and hospitality. If we come back that way again, we’d love to be your guests again! Dave & Joanne

Perfect Weekend at Tuna Wharf Townhouse

Boy is this place a home run! My family was lucky enough to get to call this perfectly delightfully spot home for my husband’s big birthday weekend. A dedicated parking spot was waiting for us and started us out with a huge sigh of relief after a deadly long slog through weekend traffic. Then, we got to the place and WOW! The place is simply gorgeous: modern and clean yet classic and homey, filled with local art, fascinating books and cool artifacts to delight us in every room. The kitchen was spacious and stocked with goodies, the living room’s couches and chairs were perfect for lounging. The picture window looking out to the sea wall was mesmirizing. The TV and Alexa made listening to favorite tunes and movie watching easy. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms light and modern… and that deck! We were there to relax and just simply be together, and this was just the perfect spot. While the design of the home, location and views just can not be beat, what REALLY made our stay was Jonathan. He was super friendly and communicative throughout the whole process, making sure we got excited to be there, had tons of recommendations for activities and meals, and really just put us at ease the whole weekend. The best host you could ask for by a mile! Five hundred stars! We hope to be back soon :)

My wife Sally and I live 5 miles away in Gloucester, yet I have been drawn to Bearskin Neck and Tuna Wharf ever since my college buddy Stephen Rhodes from North Carolina opened North Shore Kayak Outdoor Center on the end of Tuna Wharf. (Recently under new ownership as North Shore Adventures) Then the Shalin Liu Performance Center opened, dry Rockport finally got adult beverages, and fine dining like the Feather & Wedge arrived, and the appeal of Rockport went even higher. My daughter Libby went to elementary school in Rockport and her first summer jobs were on Bearskin Neck and Tuna Wharf. ✨

Rockport has never been known for its ease of parking, so love the fact that 5A Tuna Wharf comes its own nearby deeded parking spot. As you will see, location is what makes this wonderful Townhouse close to perfect. Park that car and enjoy the delights of walking around all that Rockport offers. Beaches, Art Galleries, Craft Stores, Coffee Shops, Lobster Rolls, Gift Shops, and a multitude of restaurants are just a stroll away. ✨ PS, additional car parking available, just not as convenient.

"At the tip of the Cape Ann peninsula, Rockport is in historic Essex County. It began as part of the nearby town of Gloucester, and together these areas got their start in the fishing business. Pine harvested from the vicinity was used for shipbuilding, and locally quarried granite (they didn’t call it “rock” port for nothing!) was shipped all up and down America’s east coast. Backstory:
One Saturday in late March 2021, I went to an Open House at 5A Tuna Wharf and was really struck by how almost perfect the place was. I made on offer on Monday, it was accepted on Tuesday, and we closed the first week of May 2021. I totally enjoy being a host and like to think that "Customer Delight" captures the guest experience at Tuna Wharf Townhouse.

I am really excited to share the delights of Tuna Wharf, Bearskin Neck, Rockport, and all of Cape Ann with you!

Oh and by the way, I spent a lot of years as an instructor with the Outward Bound Schools in the US and Canada. Even though he was before my time as a wilderness guide, I was aware that Jim Whittaker was the first American to summit Mt. Everest in 1963.

One of his most enduring statements when talking about the drive for people to challenge themselves was “If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space.”

The relevance here to the Tuna Wharf Townhouse is that, while it is far from a challenge, it is, in a most comfortable way....living on the edge of continent.

There is Rockport harbor, the breakwater, and that’s it.
Living life on the edge of North America.

It’s a real sweet spot. I think you will really enjoy being there.
