Renovated Lake Home Sunset Oasis close to downtown on Big Stone

This century old Boston four square home has been recently updated to fill your weekend and vacation needs. Lake home living with "in-town" amenities will keep you enjoying the beauty of Big Stone Lake, while having everything within close proximity . Located one mile from downtown Ortonville, this lake home has so much to offer. Spend your time soaking in the sunshine on the enclosed deck, or head out onto the water with the provided kayaks and paddle boards. Big Stone has something for everyone. Escape to the newly installed extra large boat dock. The fishing from shore/dock has proved to be bountiful with bluegill, northern, and bass. Enjoy your days with family and friends swimming, boating, fishing and relaxing around the bonfire in the evening and admiring the sunset.

This fully furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation rental is packed with all the amenities. The master bedroom on the main level has a king sized bed with a extra large walk though closet. This leads to the main bathroom with a sauna. A great way to warm up quick on cool evenings! Just off the fully equipped kitchen you find a large farm house style table to seat up to 10 guests. Enjoy meals together with a great veiw of the water, and vintage leaded glass original windows. Help yourself to the coffee bar amenities with the provided Keurig and additional coffee pot.

Upstairs you'll find enough sleeping space for six. One bedroom over looks the lake, and has a queen Bed Story mattress for extra comfort. The other bedroom has a queen puffy mattress with twin bunk beds. Enjoy the large, newly renovated tiled shower. Including washer and dryer, complimentary linens/toiletries in the spacious upstairs bathroom.

The basement has the option for overflow sleeping and an extra smart TV. A twin over fulll bunk bed along with a futon sleeping area will provide enough space for 2-3 more guests if you wish.

We truly want you to enjoy this vacation rental and all Ortonville has to offer. Take in a game of golf with the Ortonville course under a mile away. Enjoy the many parks, trails, and scenic areas over looking Big Stone Lake, along with quaint restaurants nestled around down town and on the lake! There's a little something for everyone.

Weekend Getaway

This is a great property on the lake with boat access and a nice sized backyard. Neighbors (who share the boat dock) are close however very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the amenities where excellent. The property managers were responsive and very pleasant. We will definitely be coming back.

Was relaxing and enjoyable

All was great. The lake was not swimmable due to severe weeds so that was disappointing but we made the best of it. The property was great for the group size and plans. We had the best time enjoying the deck, the yard and game night around the big dining table.

Peaceful getaway

We pick a lake every year go our family summer getaway. The cabin is beautiful and the view from the sun room is amazing of the lake. We used the black stone for brunch every morning and having a pellet grill available was great. Kids used the Kayaks to fish and enjoy the lake. For a quiet getaway and relaxing day of family and cards there is no better place to hang with family. Oh and don’t miss out on the meat locker in town summer sausage and beef jerky are amazing!!!

Great weekend getaway

The pictures dont do the place justice! The perfect spot to have a family get together. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboard. Plenty of room to be together or spread out. The beds are super comfortable as well. Lots of memories made on this trip! Highly recommend this place!!!

Great location, close to son’s wedding

Stayed here for our sons wedding in nearby Bellingham. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and fire pit. Host was quick to answer questions. Neighbors were friendly . Would recommend.

Beautiful Lake Home!

This home is not only gorgeous but it is very functional for two families to share. The kids enjoyed having their own space in the basement and the kayaks! The adults loved the party garage, spacious deck, sauna, and nice dock for the boat, it was the best long weekend!!

Perfect stay!

Great place for a mini vacation for 2 families! The house was immaculate and was stocked with everything you need. We never contacted the renters because we didn’t need to! Fishing was great off the dock and all 5 kids loved swimming! We fully enjoyed the house, yard, and lake! The kids were sad to leave! We can’t wait to go back some day!

Great Place

Nice, clean, well kept place. The beds were very comfortable. Home is well stocked with the basic necessities. We were a little nervous about the shared dock but it was not a problem at all. The neighbor was extremely friendly and it was easy enough for us to tie up our boat.

Beautiful Lake Home with Plenty of Room

We had a great time at this property. The lake was a bit weedy and green in August but the kids loved having access to the paddle board and kayaks. Hosts were available for questions by text which we appreciated. Rented a pontoon from Lakeshore RV park. Great to work with.

Big Stone Fishing Trip

The house was exactly what we needed to accommodate our family. It was clean and big enough to hold 7 adults and 4 children. The kids loved using the kayaks and fishing off the dock. The house was spacious enough to enjoy family time and also get some quiet time away from the kids. The nearby golf course was definitely a perk for our family with beautiful holes and views on the back 9. Great place to stay if you are visiting the Big Stone Lake area.

There's isn't a single thing I would change about this home. Comfy beds, multiple sitting areas, fully equipped kitchen for a rental, gorgeous views from the deck and the dock. Beautiful Home, located close to everything

The property inside was well maintained. Lots of amenities. My 75 year old parents came, the bedroom downstairs suited them well. The neighbor Steve was helpful when I accidentally opened and couldnt get it shut. He also came in and showed us where to fish on thier lardge topo map.couldnt get it shut

Gem in Ortonville

This house was better than we expected. It’s beautifully decorated and sits right on the lake. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, amazing views and had everything our family needed. Kids spent all their time right outside the back door on the dock or in the water. Kayaks and paddle board were so much fun and such a nice bonus to renting this place. The owners communicated well with us. Neighbors were so friendly! We will definitely be renting this place again next time we visit. Thanks for sharing your home!
