Welcome to your perfect lakefront escape! This 5-bedroom home features 300 ft of private shoreline, a personal boat launch, and a spacious deck ideal for entertaining. Relax on your private beach, take in stunning lake views, or enjoy water activities right from your doorstep. With plenty of space for family and friends, this serene retreat offers the ultimate blend of relaxation and outdoor fun. Whether boating, swimming, or soaking up sunsets, it's the perfect place for your next getaway!
During the winter months we also have a 4 person 16ft sleeper ice house available for rent.

Wonderful family retreat

We had a large group here for a week. The beds, linens, and interior were clean and the sleeping accommodations were comfortable. The home had all we needed and we would happily return.

Beautiful property. It had plenty of room for our whole family. We didn't fish but the property had a very nice boat landing that we used to launch our pontoon. The boat house was very well equiped with fun water gear. We are already talking about renting it again net year. Thank you, Michael and Morgan, we loved our vactation!!

The house is absolutely fabulous! The kitchen is huge and well stocked with pots and pans, etc. We especially loved the XL dining room table where our whole family could eat in the same place at mealtime. The private boat launch is a plus also. The deck does need some work but it is explained that it is going to be redone in the future. We will definitely be staying here again!!

The house was spacious and amazing. The kitchen had plenty of seating for our extended family to enjoy our meals together. The lakefront house with access to the boat ramp was an added benefit along with the water accessories. Our whole family enjoyed our total stay. Thank you.

We were so impressed with the house and beautiful property! It was perfect for our families to enjoy and had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. We spent most days AND evenings on the wrap around deck enjoying the views of the lake.The house had everything we ever needed and Mike was super responsive when we had questions during our stay! We can’t wait to go back!!

Spacious and Beautiful

Had an impromptu large family gathering, and this property was just right for our large group. The pictures don’t do it justice, what a gorgeous view! The weather did not cooperate very well, but if you are going to hole up this is the spot to do it. Well stocked, comfortable beds, fluffy towels, and plenty of space for all. The kids enjoyed the downstairs bunk beds, football, and TV. Would definitely stay again!

Loved it!

The most well stocked home we have stayed it. They have everything that you need here. I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews but they have fixed the deck boards and bought new living room furniture. We had 10 adults and 1 child and the house was plenty big for all of us. We would stay here again.

Great Lake view home

Very large beautiful home, 3 car garage very handy to put toys overnight. Large well equipped kitchen with large dining table. Air conditioning worked good, bedrooms was bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Lake views were amazing both from inside thru huge windows and from wrap around porch. Kids enjoyed using the kayaks and swimming in lake and had a nice dock there for your boat. A good home and would rate it a strong 4 stars.

Beautiful home.

This is a beautiful home on Big Stone Lake. It is very roomy and up to date. The deck could use some updating but it didn’t stop us from any activity we wanted to do. We had planned for 8 adults and 7 children age 5 or less. There was plenty of room. The boat ramp by the home was very convenient. The owner was very responsive if we had questions. We had a great time. We would stay again.

House was great. Launch needs some work

Big reason for the rental was bc of the launch. The concrete slab had been pushed together. Longer boat trailers were scraping.

Perfect house for a big family!

This is a beautiful house with plenty of room for the kids and grownups to play outside too. We enjoyed the lake and fireplace too!

Wonderful, restful time on Big Stone Lake for our family.

We had a great time over Labor Day weekend with our kids and grandkids. Since we stayed there last year, we were thrilled to see the brand new gas grill (thank you!) that we enjoyed using daily, and also the beautiful new double ovens (WOW!) in the kitchen. There is nothing this house lacks, they have thought of everything. The kitchen is well-stocked, there is an extra fridge in the garage if needed and a huge laundry room is available for use as well. The only thing we noticed that would be nice to have, is a working ice maker in the fridge in the kitchen. We noticed it last year too. We just went out and bought a large bag of ice, but ice in the door, ready to go would have been awesome! Thanks for a wonderful place to stay with lots of room for everyone. Hope to use it again next year! The Hengeveld Family

Family Reunion Retreat

We all enjoyed our stay on Big Stone Lake. The house is very spacious with plenty of room outdoors so even with 14 of us, we never felt crowded. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed right there. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock, playing lawn games, a bonfire, challenging each other to foosball games and just enjoying the view of the lake from the huge deck. When we wanted a swim day, we just drove the 10 minutes to Hartford Beach State Park. When we needed ice, firewood and bait, Schmidt's Landing was just a mile down the road. The home could use a little updating and love and it would have been nice if the hot tub was functional but we had a great weekend and the homeowner was very easy to work with. We would recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice, quiet stay on the lake!

Great time at Big Stone

The house was located in a very nice area, and stocked with everything a person could expect from a Vrbo. The house was also clean and comfortable. I could tell at one time this house would have been a very luxurious house, and it still has lots of nice finishes. It needs a little updating with the furniture and carpet. There were a few little things that just need repaired or updated, but overall, it is a very nice property and a great place for a large group to stay. There were a couple of roll out beds that were also available, which was a nice touch. The double ovens were fantastic since we were cooking for a large group. The view of the lake from the house and the wrap around deck were fantastic. Lots of bluegill, crappie, and perch can be caught in the lake and even right off the pier of this property. The owners of Schmidts Landing were very helpful and rent pontoon boats for an affordable price. Overall, I recommend the property and would stay there again.

Great Vacation

We had a great family vacation. The house had plenty of room for the grandchildren to run and play. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was great to have a washer and dryer. The living room furniture was in poor shape and the deck is in need of repair. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay. We do wish there was more beach area, it was very small and the boat ramp was very steep. We only used it once, then went to another boat ramp that was much easier to use.
