Great weekend

We enjoyed our stay. We like that the resort is quite and love the view of the lagoon. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and the unit was very clean! We look forward to a future stay.

My stay experience

The location is great you are near everything u need to enjoy the city. The pool on site is great, I went for a swim everyday lol. The staff and people who live in the complex were very nice as well.

Messed up

There was roofing going on the entire week. The workers were extremely careless. Debris falling everywhere. Could not use balcony. My son stepped on a nail. Skylight was taken out 3 times all while we were dressing and undressing in that room. My granddaughter woke to 3 workers working above the bunk bed where she was sleeping. We were never notified that there was even the slightest possibility that this could happen. Imagine waking to people taking out a skylight just feet above you and there being that opening and male workers are there staring at you and within arms reach. She starts screaming and I coming running, out of the shower. These terrified and I am more that humiliated. I messaged the property owner numerous times and sent photos of what we were dealing with only to get a ridiculous response. Then after leaving I get a call accusing we of leaving it a mess. Excuse me. I wasn't the one doing the roof. I did not bring those nails, pieces of shingles and debris with me. And I cleaned the mess up in bedroom the forest time. The 2nd and 3rd time I left it for you. I didn't come on vacation to be cleaning up a construction site. The bed was covered in the same debris as well as nails where it fell down through the skylight opening. Definitely one my worst experiences.

Family vacation

Condo beautifully decorated & had everything we needed. Convenient to popular locations. Check-in process was difficult due to problems getting parking pass at office.

Hard to get ahold of host.

Was hard to get ahold of host to let the host know of some things that was going on. The windows in the downstairs bedroom wood not lock we had to put sticks in them so no one could get in.

Exactly as it appears & we loved it!

Condo has an ideal location! 30-60 second walk to the pool. Pool is lovely with a great view of the neighborhood bay marina and a clean bathroom. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Great area for a jog. Amusement park, Moby Dick’s with live alligators and turtles for the kid’s to see, Alvin’s Island and tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance (including a Wendy’s basically in the parking lot). We did not dine out so I can’t make recommendations. Condo has very cute decor. Yes…there are a lot of accessories, but everything is full of personality and we loved it. Den/kitchen/eating area are tight, but nicely appointed. Kitchen really only works with one person in there at a time, but if you plan to dine out a good bit, it’s going to be totally fine. Kitchen appliances appear dated, but work perfectly. The deck provided lots of animal sightings in the bay…dolphins, frogs, fish and birds! One of our favorite parts of the home. All bedrooms were decorated nicely and beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were great also. 3rd bedroom (with bunk bed) is not technically a bedroom (no door or closet), but it was perfect for our 5 year old and a fantastic room to use as a bedroom. What really clinched the 5 stars for me was all the extras from the owner. Extra toiletries, extra cleaning products, extra paper goods, extra food/seasonings in case of an emergency, extra toilet paper, brand new kitchen items and bathroom items, etc! All lovely extras. Communication with the owner was wonderful, too. This is an awesome place with a fantastic price. Pictures are exactly as it appears. We recommend.

Vacation

Overall I’d give a 3, maybe a 4 star review depending on the goal of the trip. Place is full of furniture. Hard to maneuver throughout because it’s cluttered. Also very hard to clean because there is carpet everywhere and if always seemed we were collecting dirt that was pre existing on the floor. Location is good. Lots of stuff to do for the family. That’s likely the only reason to give 4 stars due to that but it comes at a price. Lots of noise in the loft space (listed as a three bedroom but it’s not-it’s a third sleeping space for kids but it’s not a bedroom and not private). There is also lots of light coming from the skylight in the loft space so it’s hard to put kids down if they sleep early and they wake early when the sun comes up, challenging when your on vacation. Pool was very nice. We had two cars. Only had a permit for one. The office in the community to get a second parking permit isn’t open every day but the second car didn’t get a ticket and wasn’t towed. I guess we got lucky. We did receive an Amazon package for the owner when we were there. Kind of frustrating to have random people knock and ring the doorbell but we were told there was nothing she could do about that. We have Amazon-and know when things are shipped, I think more could be done. Overall, cheap place to rent but you get what you pay for and I would go again knowing the issues but it would have been nice to know all the small details ahead of time.

Mixed Review

The property is beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice at all. But the lighting is terrible and you can't control the temperature of the house. We were so hot. At times it was like a saunna!!! There were tons of breakable things so it was not kid friendly for smaller kids and and the walk to the beach was even scarier in my opinion because it was a high traffic area. Overall things went well until I left and realized I was being charged damaged and have no idea what we damaged- other than a small shark from the table which I told her about before leaving. Everything else kept dog or cat hair in it cause it stayed on our clothes on in my kids hair. The host was nice but wouldn't explain the damaged claim so I felt like I got scammed. No I wouldn't visit again or recommend because of this. My first bad experience and I travel and rent alot using vrbo.
