Enjoy relaxing, reading, hiking, or birdwatching on our wooded 30 acres by day, eating on the hillside deck, & stargazing by the fire circle in the evening. During winter you'll be toasty warm inside while looking out on beautiful recent snowfalls.

This place was great. Plenty of room for the family, trails cut through the woods, and comfortable beds. We could see ourselves living here full time. Close to House on the Rock, Gov Dodge State Park. And Dodgeville.

Plenty of room for the family. Visited American Players Theater and Taliesen which were fairly close by. Plenty of yard space for the dogs to sniff around :)

We had a great vacation - got to hike and swim in Governor Dodge state park, toured Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin and enjoyed some other sightseeing in the area. The house was fantastic, it was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio, the yard was so peaceful. The fire pit was a nice touch for sitting out on starry nights. The house had lots of room for our family, lots of room for playing games, sitting and reading, dining and relaxing.Susan was a great host, made sure we had everything we needed.Highly recommend this rental, one of the nicest we've stayed in. Would definitely return to this rental if we come back someday.

Driftless Stay

What a gorgeous property ! So comfortable for a girls stay ! Everything we needed and more ! We enjoyed the games provided, and managed to get a puzzle done ! Town was close as was our adventure to Cave of the Mounds !Thank You !

Fantastic weekend

The host was friendl and responsive; the house was gorgeous and comfortable, with great spaces for alone time and socializing, but the back yard- full of trees, flowers and birds- was absolutely stunning!

Beautiful home in a secluded setting

We came with our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren, one 4-1/2 and the other 8 months, and their dog. It was really perfect for us. A very relaxing setting in the forested rolling hills. The house had everything we could have asked and was very attractive. The master bedroom is off to its own side. Our daughter and her family were off at the other end with plenty of room. The house is stocked with lots of games and books suitable for little kids up to adults. The kitchen is well supplied. We made use of the deck, the fire circle, and hiked around on the forested property. Plenty of stars on a clear night. Bird watching all around. It's fairly close to Governor Dodge State Park, House on the Rock, Talieson, and The American Players Theatre. It's about 20 minutes from any kind of town so we stocked up and brought it in. It's very kid friendly, but I think it would be great for two or three couples. I'm pretty sure we'll come back.

Beautiful grounds and lovely home!

The home is beautifully decorated, clean and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. We had 5 ladies in 3 bedrooms and it worked great. There are two sets of bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom, but they are each in their own little alcove with a folding door for privacy. The grounds and setting are the best part. There is a hilly hike you can take, down by a small stream and a big patio and separate space for a campfire. The dining room table has space for 6 and we had several meals there and played cards and dice each night. What a great weekend we had.

Beautiful setting!

The house was clean and the kitchen was completely stocked. We cooked several meals, watched TV and enjoyed the patio. It was a wonderful experience.

The house is beautiful, homey and clean with great living spaces and views. Location is great as an hour from Madison, Devil’s Lake and close to Spring Green. Could easily fit a few families or couples looking to vacation together.

Great house to get away from it all

This house felt very secluded and private. I definitely felt immersed in nature there. I especially loved the fire pit! Very quiet as well, a great little retreat with an impressive selection of games and books.
