Absolutely love this place! Woodsy Retreat is much much more than just a retreat. It is a place of respite and refuge! My wife and I came back again in less than one year for another stay because of how special this place is. The level of hospitality shown by the hosts is unrivaled and unparalleled by any other vacation rental that we have stayed. We never left once during our stay and didn’t need to because of all the amenities, snacks and an astonishing coffee/tea bar. The intentionality in there hospitality was very unique and specific to our individual wants/likes such as “what drinks do you prefer?” Who does that! Private hot tub in a rainforest, fireplace, pool table, crisp and clean down feather comforters that make you sleep like a baby…. If you want a break from the world this is the place. Our hearts are full and spirits renewed . Looking forward to next time already. Wish I could rate more than 5 stars

Our stay was excellent! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The homemade bread she baked and left for us was amazing! The location was convenient and peaceful, making it easy to relax and enjoy the area. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay — We will definitely book again!

Everything was pristine and beautiful! They had a lovely welcome message and chalkboard, snacks, a variety of cold drinks with chilled glasses and a coffee/tea bar that is seriously making rethink my life at home. Everything was so welcoming and accommodating.

What an incredible stay. Every tiny detail was carefully curated and thoughtful. I wish I had taken more/better photos, but the pictures do not do it justice anyway. It was very clean and the kingsize bed with the mattress topper was incredible. The snacks, pastries, fresh bread, and endless tea and coffee bar was so much more than expected and so deeply enjoyed. We hope to come back to experience other seasons. It was very quiet, private, and secluded, but the Danica was easy to reach if we needed anything. Thank you for an amazing escape.

The place was beautiful and very peaceful. Phil and Danica were so nice, and all the extras in the kitchen were outstanding! I was also a fan of the water. It was so pure and tasted great. The trails behind the house to the sound were so beautiful, and the outdoor living space was so comfortable and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

This was a great home base while visiting family. The continental breakfast and coffee bar were delightful. We enjoyed the trail to the beach and the hot tub. Would be a PERFECT spot for a relaxing girls getaway.

Perfect for Retreat

Hosts were amazing! It was a perfect stay.It was quiet and peaceful, beds were very comfortable and slept great! The bathroom was immaculate! So many little things that made it outstanding. Perfect space for working remotely. Loved the coffee and a few goodies that hit the spot late at night and early in the morning. Definitely staying here again and would highly recommend the Woodsy!!!

Lovely secluded peaceful place

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. It was very comfortable, clean and Danica had stocked it with loads of tempting treats as well as lots lovely things for breakfast. There were also more coffee and tea choices than I think I have ever seen in similar properties. The hot tub was a real delight and we enjoyed using it both nights. Unfortunately, we used all of our energy up walking around downtown Olympia and the Farmer's Market so didn't explore the lovely forest and beach behind the property. A good reason to return.

Relaxing reunion.

I have never stayed at a VRBO property that gave me so much peace and quiet. The amenities were above par. One thing we noted was the amazing snacks and continental breakfast provided by the owner. We had gotten in late and had not eaten, so this was a welcome surprise. I would definitely prefer to stay here than anywhere I researched.

The property was amazing. The host had snacks next to the pool table. Also, there was a continental breakfast setup on the coffee bar along with cheeses and drinks in the refrigerator. There were plush robes and slippers to wear out to the hot tub, which was really nice since it was cool out. The trail out the backdoor to the state park trail was amazing. We had such an enjoyable time!

Charming Intimate and beautiful.

Woodsy Retreat, was absolutely perfect for us. The owners really go above and beyond with the little details. I particularly enjoyed their little coffee station. So many choices and delights. It had all the convienence of home with a freling if camping outside. Sleeping with the windows open listening to the frogs and the the rain come down in very vomfortable beds gave us the ability to get some real needed dwep rest. Highly recommend Woodsy retreat for a small family or a couples get away

Her expertise in trauma, war crimes, and cross-cultural collaboration is located in the hot conflict zones. Coming home and being at home is very meaningful and sets the stage for this daylight walkout suite humming with nature and harmony

Who can live without good friends, family, great conversation shared with guests from around the world? Our Woodsy Retreat daylight walk-out is private and with the forest in the backyard equipped with a trail right out your door takes you to Puget Sound- Tolmie State Park, and beach access with a 10-minute walk. We have an outdoor spa; hot tub, outdoor shower & clawfoot tub, toilet/cabana, and sink.

Our guests know us as greats hosts for having the best retreat in nature - the place to be, we have had and continue to have travelers from all over the world staying here.
We lived in Europe for two years and my wife continues to travel the world. The gifts from her travels are culinary practices, a warm and beautiful home that travelers and guests enjoy to the fullest.
