Our home away from home.

5 star for location. 2-3 stars for the condo. This condo needs to have an overhaul of the kitchen. There are no matching pots/pans, some had lids, some didn’t. Nothing was organized or together. The one pan I cooked in was so old I had to keep putting butter in it so the food wouldn’t stick.We had ants so bad for almost the 2 week of our stay and that was us being proactive about keeping food away/sealed. I’ve never experienced that in all the years we’ve been staying at Sugar Beach.We ran out of garbage bags, TP, PT. The front desk said they don’t restock so we had to go purchase our own. We had a great time but will stay in another unit next time.

Location location location

Very private ground floor unit. This is truly beachfront. The ocean is 50 feet from the unit and because of the grassy ridge it remains very private but ocean still very accessible.

Wonderful Little Retreat

This was our first time staying at this specific place at Sugar Beach and it was absolutely wonderful. The check-in instructions were super easy and getting into the apartment was super simple. The place was very clean and cozy. The staff were incredibly helpful and offered great advice on places to visit. The bed was very comfortable. my favorite part is the patio that looks out to the ocean. We spend many evenings, just relaxing out there. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay!

We loved Sugar Beach Resort and were very pleased with our unit. For what we wanted to do, it fit our need perfectly and the views were incredible being right on the ocean with amazing sunsets. Pool/hot tub area was very nice and comfortable. Only thing to note, if you're wanting to do cooking in the unit, no oil or other cooking essentials are provided at least that we saw. Plenty of dishes and cookware though.

Great location

Wonderful view overlooking the beach and surf, easy access to the pool and parking area. Loved listening to the sound of the surf and watching the occasional chicken walk by. The unit was very clean and well maintained and well stocked with all of the necessary kitchen utensils and appliances. Having the washer and dryer was a nice benefit during our 10 day stay. Our friends who were staying in units on upper floors or overlooking the pool all ended up spending much of their time during the day in our condo due to its great location. Would highly recommend this unit to anyone staying at Sugar Beach.

Sugar Beach Gorgeous

We LOVED our stay at Sugar Beach - you can not beat the location being right on the beach! Hearing the waves all day and walking the beach to the bakery was a Hawaiian vacation dream! There weren’t a lot of beach things to use at the condo so plan to rent what you need (chairs, toys etc). Outdated but Clean and they provided soap etc. it did take some time to get the pool code and other check in things as the main office closes at 5 and we arrived after that - would be nice if that had been included so we could use the pool on the day we arrived.

Great room for views and location, could use a deep cleaning!

If you’re not planning to be in the room too much, this place is awesome! Great location right on the beach, awesome views from the ground level lanai! Only thing place is a little dingy and what makes it worse is the lack of cleaning, and don’t count on using the bedding here (I slept with my husbands hoodies covering me every night). But if you’re just looking for a place for mornings and nigths it’s a good place, they can easily make it a great place with just some cleaning. A duster, magic erasers and damp rag could make this place shine and have guests feeling a lot more comfortable! They gave us a nice welcome bag with local goodies which was really great! Would stay again if I found out they cleaned the place properly.

The view is incredible and being on the ground floor with a toddler was the best. Our room felt much bigger with the oceanfront yard off our patio! We will certainly be back. Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

Great Location

The grounds are clean and kept up nicely. The room is less than a stones throw away. The beach is nice but on the narrow side. Downtown Kihei is only a couple minutes drive. ABC, Sugar Beach Bakery and the shaved ice place is within walking distance. Other than that you’ll more than likely drive. This specific condo feels outdated compared to other is the grounds. And the stupid door stopper constantly falls freely and is annoying.

Great family vacation spot

Love this condo. Was wonderful to be on the ground floor and walk right out to the beach the kids loved playing in the yard. The pool was also a big hit. Nice clean condo and a great location would go back in a heartbeat.

So much better then a hotel room!

Unit was perfect for our trip. Very comfortable and clean. I really loved sitting on back patio to eat meals or just relax, just yards away from the beach. Had everything we would need for a stay and I liked the central location on the Island. Easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit, and we were so close to all the great snorkel spots. Resort should consider a new paint job, when we first arrived, the doorway area looked pretty grimy and run down. I was worried I had rented something gross, but luckily that was not the case. Would rent again if I make it back to Maui.
