Maple Lane Lake House

A family built log house by a shared private lake. Because of the size of the house we charge a 4 people base price, and $20 per person per night over that. We have a sandy beach area designated for the place and separated from a neighbor's sandy beach by a row of evergreens. Very relaxing place to bring your family and friends. Beautiful quiet setting to enjoy God's creation. Enjoy hearing the birds from your open window early in the morning, or the rooster crowing to announce the arrival of another day. Take a tour of the farm and garden for a relaxing stroll, or launch a canoe in the lake for a peaceful water adventure. If you enjoy visiting, we are happy to learn to know our vacationers, and spend some time answering questions or discussing the farm and garden, and more.

Our family vacation was wonderful!! We were definitely in God’s country. Such a beautiful and peaceful property. Check in was easy and the home was stocked with everything needed. The large vacation home fit our family well and the grandkids so enjoyed the outdoor activities, especially the zip line!! The evening campfires with s’mores were also enjoyed. A big thanks to our hosts!!

Spacious inside and out.

Very quiet and secluded property. Plenty of space in common areas and outside. The children loved trying to catch frogs, and the trampoline and swings. Huge wrap around porch was great for reading and relaxing while enjoying nature. The zip lines were a thrill. Wish the beach and swimming area were nicer.

Family reunion

Was a good place for our family reunion. The first and second floors were very nice, but the basement had a musty smell and was not as clean as the main floor and second floors. We had a great stay but the kids complained about the smell in the basement.

We had a great time celebrating Grannies up coming 90th birthday. She wanted to get together with as many family members as possible and we did that with some family members coming in for a day visit.

Very nice property with everything you need for a fun family vacation… except a TV. But that was a bonus! We secretly brought a TV and never told anyone. This lead to everyone spending quality family time together. We had a large group and everyone had plenty of room to sleep. Hosts were very responsive and attentive to the questions we had throughout the weekend. Looking at next year’s calendar to see about returning with our group plus a few more. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we all enjoyed our four nights very much!

We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the spacious house. House is wonderful. We had a problem getting rid of mice. The water slide on the raft is not safe. The lily pads in the swimming area made it difficult to swim. The older grandchildren and adult children loved the zip line. That was a big sell. The swings and trampoline were good for the smaller grandchildren. Also, we appreciated the large spaces outside for playing games. And our two-year old grandchild loved the chickens.We would welcome some improvements, but we just made reservations for next summer.

Great family location

Wonderful location for our large family group. Kids enjoyed the water and seeing the farm animals. It had plenty of outside activities to keep them busy. Porches were great for sitting and watching them or just absorbing the beautifully area.

Mushroom hunting trip

What a great, peaceful place. From the eagle watching over us at the fire pit to morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake. I would definitely stay here again!

We are within 15 miles of Cadillac that has next to everything, and to many large & small lakes. And Caberfae peaks ski hills is 30 minutes .We are back on a small 7 acre private deep lake. Our only neighbor is our Son & family that can't be seen from the rental. The year round green hemlock trees are worth a million dollars when it comes to private. The view from the kitchen table is priceless, water foul and color etc.

The large Private Out door area, for walking and trail riding, along with all that comes with the A Lake, from Free fishing , boating ,swimming and playing in the sand. Endless hours of peace in Gods creation.
