Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Extremely outdated. Very old carpet that could not be clean needs to be pulled out and replaced with hard floors. Roach bug in silverware drawer. Living room furniture old and uncomfortable. 2nd bedroom beds uncomfortable. Children might be okay in there but not adults. Filthy master BR closet shelves with yellow build up. No support bar in master shower, 2nd bath the bathtub drain not working which caused bath tub to fill up while showering, and master bath sink faucet hardware old and extremely hard to pull on. Windows curtains hard to open and close and did not cover windows properly. Laundry room shelves junked up with repair stuff and hardware. This place needs cleaning up, plumbing hardware replaced, carpet removed, paint, doors scratched up and rough looking. Also if you are elderly or handicapped it is hard to carry your belongings to this apartment. It is a very long walk from the elevator. I saw other tentants with grocery buggies but we didn't have one. Good stuff was plenty of utensils and kitchen appliances. Master Bedroom was nice and bed comfortable, however carpet needs to be removed in there also. Condo very roomy. Could be really nice if cleaned up and updated.Date of arrival - J

The whole condo could use a renovation, dirty carpets, couch smelled, outdated furniture and bedding. Also seen 3 roaches during our stay, so not a good feeling after driving 15 hrs and paying almost 800 to stay there.

Although a bit dated, this place is roomy and had a freshness that didn’t smell of chemicals. Living room TV didn’t work but bedroom tv did. One outlet in bedroom didn’t work. We loved Cocoa Beach. Plenty of parking, and once the construction is done next to it, we’d definitely consider visiting again. The construction was noisier than I thought it would be, but they did quit at dinner time.

Not as much of a view

This condo is in need of an update. My feet were filthy from the dirty carpets/floors. We did find a mop to clean the tile. The view was not as advertised since they are building a gigantic hotel next door so we did not see the Cape firework/drones that we thought we would. I contacted management regarding a broken towel rack and questions with no reply.

Great spring break

The property was accurate based on layout and amenities. The room was clean and well maintained. The room was slightly outdated, but still served our needs. The vertical blinds were difficult to operate effectively by the patio doors, so we just left them open. The location in neighborhood was great. The pool and beach access were exactly as described.

Dirty carpet!

We had a great time in Cocoa Beach. We have stayed at the Sandcastles prior to this visit. However, this condo was not well kept in the carpet was gross! No communication with the manager or the property manager. I called and left a message with no return calls.

Lots of extras

Didn't know what to expect renting a condo. Was pleasantly surprised. Found a lot of items for the beach in the closet and games including cards and poker chips in the living area. The sandcastles property was great including the beach access and pool/hot tub. The TV had cable.

Great place but beware of fire alarm

We had a great time staying at this unit. Very nice views in the kitchen had great amenities. Just be aware of the apartment complex once a month fire alarm. It went off for about an hour. :)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: All previous stays in other Sandcastles units have been great. Unit 400 really needs some work (though likely why it was so inexpensive.) In particular, the blinds are just unusable everywhere and desperately need to be replaced. We couldn't enjoy the balcony due to constant next-door construction (though that was circumstantial.) Sandcastles can't seem to ever have a fully functioning hot tub (at least 4 years of visits and something is always wrong.) Overall things were just okay, but our family was disappointed with this particular visit.

Good place for kids close to amenities!

Was a great stay till the hurricanes came. Host was very accommodating and even refunded us the days we could not use. Kept constant text communication with us the whole time. Place is a great price and kid friendly. Would recommend

Great Ammenities with a PERFECT view of Launches

It had every ammenity we needed. The grandkids loved the heated pool whene they stopped in to visit. Although the unit is dated, it was clean and supplied new kitchen pots, pans, etc for cooking great meals. The price was good for the location. We enjoyed many restaurants in Cocoa Beach.

Sandcastles

Apt v clean but carpets worn and some stains. One balcony looks on the car park and the other faces a building which is currently being demolished so quite noisy at times. However apt very spacious and really close to the beach. Pool excellent too. Two restaurants v close by - Denny’s and Gregories seafood and grill. Gregories excellent food.

Relaxing Family Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was in a very good location. It was not in the middle of the hustle and bustle but just a few blocks away. We only had one issue, and she was on it immediately trying to get a repairman on site. The washer would not spin. Being a holiday weekend we were afraid no one would come out. Not only did the repairman show up but Cathy showed up as well and stayed while the repairman was there so we could go on about our day. It was fixed within 2 ours and the rest of the trip was great. The condo is as it describes, older but clean and has everything you need. There was construction going on but it did not interfere with our trip.

A new condo experience

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at sandcastles several times before and never had a bad experience until this one. Condo was not well maintained or clean when we got there. I will say when we called they did come quickly and try to correct the problems. The carpet was very nice but very very dirty. New kinds of window covering might be considered because they were broken. A few other major problems were finally taken care of so the the last week of our vacation was fine.

Spacious condo with partial ocean view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Older condo in very well maintained complex. North facing unit on 4th floor, partial view of ocean looking 45 to 90 degrees from balcony. Good a/c, adequately stocked kitchen. Good wifi, cable tv. Did experience bugs in the kitchen. It's the beach, I get it, there's bugs, but this needs to be addressed (I notified the owner on checkout). I would stay here again.
