Cozy & Adorable Beach Cottage

Our family of five (mom, dad and three adult children) recently stayed at "Serenity Shores" for the 4th of July holiday week. It was perfect for us and all of our needs were met! Amy was a wonderful hostess - she was a good communicator and met us at the property to walk us through all the details we would need for the week. We had only one small issue, which Amy resolved within hours, and she checked on us to make sure we were having a great stay. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches: both types of coffee makers (with supplies), our favorite drinks and snacks (she asked in advance - like I said - thoughtful!), multiple gathering spots indoors and out and plenty of extra towels, pillows and blankets. We loved the patio spaces and proximity to the beach! Literally just a few steps away. Because this is a residential area, the beach was never crowded, yet we were a short drive to restaurants, stores and activities. We brought food back to the cottage each night so we could enjoy the views and each other. We played games and lounged in the hammocks. The footprint of the house is not big, but Amy has created an adorable and welcoming cottage that our whole family truly loved. Our daughters were obsessed with the vintage aqua microwave. So cute! Thank you, Amy, for treating us like family. :-)

Perfect getaway!

The house was cute and had a great layout. The beach was amazing. The hosts were very thoughtful, kind, and responsive. We had our 17 and 20 yo daughters and their friends and all had a great time! It was nice staying on the beach and being close enough to the water that the ladies could swim and we could keep track of them from the house. The proximity to St. Augustine was nice. We would love to stay here again!

We very much enjoyed our stay. It truly is 12 steps to beach. The deck was my favorite. It expands the length of house. Loved our private beach. You can see the sun rise through the glass sliding doors. Lil piece of heaven!

Excellent beach vacation

Property is located on a private beach with very few people there during our 2 week stay. Amy, our host, was great on communication and our check in process was easy and thorough. House was stocked with everything you’d need to get started, and then some. Everything was close to include St Augustine within 15 min, Publix, great restaurants and Guana River State park a mile from the house. When we weren’t on the beach we were at the park hiking. Also has kayaking and biking (can rent there). Definitely recommend.

Perfect Ocean View!

If you are looking for perfect ocean views and fabulous walks on the beach, this is an excellent choice of a stay! Additionally, the host gives great communication, a warm welcome, and a cozy place to stay. The location between St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach is convenient too!

Location - Direct Beach Access

The location was fantastic with direct access to the Beach, and easy travel to both St. Augustine and Jacksonville. Property had all we needed, as handful of beach towels, onsite dryer, great views, and flexible sleeping arrangements. Host was very accommodating.

The perfect spot

If you are looking for a gorgeous, tranquil, cozy yet bright oasis with a sprawling beachside view that will take your breath away and nothing but sand between your toes (literally steps from the deck), the hum of the ocean, a blanket of stars above and a deck that you could stay on forever, look no further. You can walk for miles on the wide-open beach or just sit on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We watched the sunrise every morning from the idyllic private deck (you can also just watch it from the master bedroom if you want to!), and listened to the rhythmic lap of waves. You can lie in the hammocks and stare at the stars until the night fades away. Amy is a perfect host - she is responsive, communicative, kind, professional, and everything about the place was perfect. It is clean, organized, has all the amenities, and tons of charm to boot. We could have stayed so much longer! Will definitely be back…not soon enough!

Relaxation!

Our family enjoyed being steps from the sand and being able to sit on our deck in the hammock and looking at the ocean. It was a quaint place with an incredible location and very close to some great restaurants in Saint Augustine. Amy was a fantastic host and made our trip extremely enjoyable, and even had some snacks and drinks waiting on us when we arrived late in the evening

Last minute beach weekend

Amazing spot in a classic northeast Florida beach house! Literally steps from the beach with every detail taken into account. Between the hammocks, kids beach toys, umbrellas and pack-n-play, this house is perfect for families and friends. Lastly, the hosts were beyond fun and responsive. They truly made our experience unforgettable. We’ll be back!

Great Location

Amy was very helpful and checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect while we were there. We had the beach to ourselves, it was wonderful! We watched the sunrise on the beachside deck and the sunset on the Westside of the deck. Beautiful!

Wonderful Beach House

Amy was a pleasure to meet. She was an attentive host and prompt on communications. Her house is lovely with everything you would need and accommodated us 4 adults just perfectly. You literally walk down 11 steps and you are on a gorgeous beach. We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay at Amy's place again.

Great Family Weekend for All Ages

We stayed for a long weekend with our adult son, his wife, 1year old son, and adult daughter. The house, living room, and beds are comfortable, clean, and easily accommodated the whole crew. We had our 1 year old grandson and it was easy to let him run around and play after moving only a few decorations out of his reach. The hostess went above and beyond to provide cute soft new bedding for the pack n play and there was also a high chair for meal times. We loved being able to play on the beach, collect shells, and use all the sand toys and then, when little man got tired, rinse him off in the outdoor shower and lay him down for a nap and adults could still be outside with the travel monitor we brought. Communication with the hostess before, during, and after was easy, thorough, and thoughtful. We’d definitely stay here again!

Peaceful beachside getaway

After a very long drive and late check in, we were greeted by the owner with a generous gift of snacks, cereal, and a sweet beach toy for our 11 month old. Immediately, we knew the owner cared about the property, and us guests having a wonderful, relaxing time. Her communication was above and beyond professional and courteous whenever we had questions. The house itself has been nicely decorated and maintained. It comfortably accommodated four adults and a baby, though there were beds for more kids or adults if necessary. We loved having easy beach access, numerous hammocks for relaxing, and a shower station to rinse off from the beach. The deck is fantastic day or night! With the baby, we cooked and prepared most of our meals with ease, which was important to me. I also appreciated having laundry access, and a sliding door off the master bedroom for early morning quiet time on the deck without disturbing everyone else. This place is great for family and adults alike, but most importantly a great place for a relaxing getaway beachside.

Good Beach House vibe on the Atlantic Shore

The hosts were very good to work with; timely responses and helpful with area resources, etc. The home has a real beach house vibe with great always-on surf views and sounds. Its also a great location to base a good long walk either N or S along the shore. One thing though is that it is listed as 7 beds and there are really 5 with a couple fold-outs that don't measure up to an actual bed and counting an outside shower as a 3rd bedroom is a stretch. Still, the hosts were nice and the stay was enjoyable - the listing's photos show the white interior's beach home feel. We couldn't get the outside lights to work consistently as I'm sure there's a significant salt spray issue but the extra molded chairs provided below the deck came in handy for surf sitting. Both propane tanks (grill, fire pit) were very low so we replaced one with new. We found no bugs inside! Overall a very nice stay we'd consider coming back for.

A Precious Gem!

This place is outstanding! We have stayed at many VRBO places and none of them compare to this one! The owner, Amy, is absolutely wonderful from the time of check-in to the time of check-out. She had goodies and extremely thoughtful items for our stay for the whole family. Amy met us after midnight for check-in and had bought pancake mix and all the fixings for my family for breakfast..... what a sweet and personal touch to this rental. The place is breathtaking! You can literally walk off the deck onto the seashore! We found many shells and shark's teeth right in the backyard of our rental. I could go on and on, but words cannot do it justice for the owner or the place. Thanks Amy for sharing your beautiful rental. We hope to return soon!!!! DeAnn Smith

Stunning Sunrises and cotton candy sunsets make for the best memories here. The owners are local and genuinely want to offer you an experience of a lifetime making beautiful memories. Serenity Shores has a cool vintage vibe loaded with modern amenities. Well updated with newer furnishings, this home has a BoHo chic feel. Double Brazilian hammocks sway with the waves, but are also perfect for stargazing. The beachy dining table serves 6 to 8 comfortably, sea glass kitchen has an additional snack bar and comfortable seating for eight in gathering area and comfortable outdoor seating for eight at a huge painted picnic table, table and chairs for watching your sunsets, umbrella for shade. Gas grill, beach toys, extra chairs for beach, Cooler, buckets, books for all ages, games. Beach toys, even a craft kit just for kids... beach towels, loungers for relaxing in deck and plastic Chairs for beaching it!

Fireflies light up the sky, but we have mini candles for your outdoor dining! Cake platters, nice white dishes and tasteful neutral decor will give you a serene experience. Full size Washer/dryer on site, lots of hooks, dresses, and storage for guests.

Whale watching, dolphins jumping, birds flying and playing on the beach might bring a new hobby- bring your binoculars!

Stargazing at night has never been more beautiful as you feel you’re in a snow globe we’re shooting stars and rainbows seen often!🌈🌈

If you’re feeling adventurous you can go across the street to Guana Park where you will find a nature center, hiking trails a beautiful river a giant ship found nearby beautiful wildlife and some of Florida‘s finest outdoor living! Boat slips to intercoastal are nearby.

We have box fans, noise machine, smart TVs. wine glasses, those extra items to make your getaway the best! We truly look forward to your coming to stay and we strive to be super super hosts!!
