High quality stay close to Alton and Wolfeboro

The house is in great condition with lots to offer. We enjoyed the patio every day and night with some view of the lake and also took advantage of the fire pit and hammock. Would definitely stay again.

The game room downstairs gave us something to do during the few rainy days we had.

We liked the easy keypad check in . The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The location was great! We would definitely stay here again.

The house worked out great for our family.ly.

There were many things to do within a 35 minute ride. We visited two different state parks which everyone loved. On a rainy day we went to Funspot where the kids had a blast. The game room was a welcome relief once the kids went to sleep. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this house.

Peaceful Property

We enjoyed our stay … new owners had just taken over & a couple of things had changed but overall we all had a great time. Loved the woodwork & little sayings around the house which made it very ‘homey’. Many enjoyed the gas fire on the deck… due to overgrown trees, it was a little harder to see the lake from the deck/windows, but I’m not so sure that these ‘blocking’ trees belong to the new owner… game night were fun with my grandchildren & overall a very peaceful piece of property to get away to and just relax!

We went up there for bike week my wife my son and his girl friend. The house had plenty of room it was immaculate when we got there. Plenty of things to do shopping and eating we definitely go back again

Updated Cabin

The only reason I withheld a full 5 stars is because we love to cook and eat together as a family on vacation, and my this house has a lack of dining seating, and very small amount of kitchen counter workspace. There is just the bar top for 4 to sit at, which doesn't have enough knee room on one side and has loud, uneven stools. If you're happy to just grab a burger off the grill and eat it on the deck couch, then you will likely give it full stars. Comfortable beds, updated kitchen and baths, a very fun basement game room, and lovely deck. This was our first time staying on Alton Bay and we enjoyed the location very much. Owner is very responsive for any issues.

We thank you for your review! In the past, renters have taken the full dining room table and chairs on the first floor and utilized those for their dining needs(others utilize it as a puzzle table). Thanks again for staying and we appreciate the feedback!

3 generations, with update news

We had a really good time. A pair of good news updates: Linens were, in fact, provided for all beds! And with a 2 year old, we were relieved to discover a sturdy child safety gate at the head of stairs as well as a railing beside the stairs all the way down. The 9 year old would have stayed for weeks, playing foosball, using the top bunk as his "fort," and climbing the well attached ladder up to the loft to read or play. The kitchen was well stocked and the refrigerator even more so. The adults very much enjoyed all the seating around the gas fire pit on the deck, although we never entirely mastered the tv controls inside - not what we came for anyway! Renovated bathrooms, very nice. All week, Joe was quick to respond when we reached out to him. Very reassuring. And on our departure weekend, with the stifling humidity, thank goodness for the central air!

Great Place

The house is absolutely beautiful. The game room is definitely a bonus on a rainy day. Not far from town area, Weirs Beach, biking and hiking. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone who wanted to go there. Great place to stay if you have younger or older children. Anthony was very available if you have any questions.

Fantastic Week!

House was beautiful and clean. Game room was great for kids and for adult card playing. Laundry was a big bonus. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for sleeping. We enjoyed the area beach and Funspot was great for the kids when it rained. Could have used some measuring cups and make sure you bring blankets and bath and beach towels, but all in all a happy, cozy place for our family vacation! Thank you Joe and Olessa!

Thanks Joe and Olessa, what a great time we had with our family,and thank you for the cookies and champagne,it was very much appreciated.my grand children enjoyed the game to especially Pac-Man this house met our expectations I loved the proximity to downtown Wolfboro ,and pops clamshell restaurant is the best place in Alton. I would recommend this house it was fantastic for our family of 10 .

Awesome location and your own beach!

This cottage was great. It had everything you could ask for and the locations cannot be beat. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The dock makes bringing your boat or jet ski with you, all the more convenient. There is a good amount of parking if you have guests. We really had such a great time on the beach and enjoying the view during the holiday weekend. We couldn't have asked for anything better! Will definitely be booking another weekend before summer's end. Thank you to Olessa and Joe for their hospitality!
