Camper is located on a small, 12 lot, mobile home park, where about half the guest live and work here and half use as personal vacation home.

Erin ruined the stay but the Property Owner as usual was more than accommodating and stayed in contact with us throughout the preceding days. We will never stay anywhere else in the OBX.

Perfect spot to stay with my 2 big dogs! Very clean, close to the beach and in a very quiet area. Everyone around was super friendly. Owner responded quickly and was very accommodating! Would definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough about how magical this stay was! This super cozy camper is perfect! Jonathan was available and easy to communicate with for anything/everything, the place was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed to cook and relax in the camper after a long day at the beach or seeing the sights! This obx location was so peaceful, not super commercialized and crowded with tourists. 5 minute walk to the beach, quick drive to the ice cream stand, & only 30 or 40 minutes from major tourist hot spots in either direction. & the beach was quiet! No crowds! There were countless times that it was just us, the sand & water, & the seashells!!! We will definitely be returning! So grateful to Jonathan and the other community members for making us feel so welcome and at home. 10/10

My wife and I have been staying at this property for the last several years, and highly recommend it. It’s the perfect get away for a couple or small family. Beach is walking distance and there is food and shopping near by as well. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle that is Nags Head and Killy Devil Hills, Rodanthe is the only place to stay. The camper itself is well kept and fully stocked with everything you need to cook and entertain yourselves after a long day of beaching and shopping. Check this place out!

Complete relaxation

Cute and cozy! A home away from home!Very Close proximity to the beach, eateries, gas, and groceries.Check in and out was extremely easy. I really enjoyed the complimentary coffee. The setting was very peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Bring an electric blanket

Cute and clean camper. Though it was unusually cold due to an inland snow and ice storm I We did expect there to b an actual working furnace for heat, not just 2 space heaters. The host clearly didn’t prepare for anticipated cold temps. We had to use the propane cook stove to provide any heat. The water though left dripping as the host requested the pipes froze as did the camper septic. There were not extra blankets as the bed linens were pretty basic. We stayed the night with nowhere else to go other than our vehicle and called the host and got a refund. Probably not a good choice in the winter months.

Surf trip

Enjoyed our stay. Was walking distance to the beach. The host had the camper well equipped. Was able to save money by cooking meals at the rental. Really appreciated the great selection of coffee that they provided. Price was very reasonable and I will be checking availability on the next trip up there

Very simple

Camper had everything you need. Perfect for a short stay for two people! Great location. Very close to the beach, very nice neighbors. Jonathan’s communication is phenomenal! Definitely pet friendly although we didn’t bring our little fur baby. Highly recommend!!! We will definitely stay again!

It was a great spot for my and the corgis, the folks around the area are very kind and quiet. It was a short easy walk to the beach. Couple of good spots to eat close by

A piece of paradise

My husband and I stayed at Island life for our first trip to the OBX. We cannot say enough about the place. It was very clean, well equipped with things that you may have forgotten. Jonathan has placed a lot of thought into this place. We were a five minute walk to the beach which our fur babies definitely enjoyed. Jonathan gave us ideas on places to visit and places to visit. Thanks Jonathan for this amazing opportunity!!!

2nd time staying and will return !!!

We love this tucked away camper that has all the amenities and none of the stress. You only contend with the sounds of frogs and birds which we will choose time and time again! Beautifully immaculate inside and out. Would recommend and have so to those close to us!! Shopping is within walking distance, and food trucks too!!

Great space for a solo traveler or couple (and furry companion)

The place is just as advertised, clean and well-maintained. I got there at dark in the rain, so it was a bit hard to find amongst the other modulars in the cul-de-sac, but the host provided detailed directions which made the search much easier lol. Jonathan is responsive and provides all the last minute things you might forget for your stay, such as sunblock, water bottles, and even dog dishes for your furry co-pilot, so you can focus on hitting the beach once you get there :)

Cozy and Comfortable

I came into town to see some of the historic sites in the area. The "Island Life" is a delightful space, with exactly what I needed: a clean safe place in a quiet area, easy access to the beach, and close to many things to do. The host Jonathan was welcoming and responded to my emails in an extremely timely manner. I was very happy to stay there.

Small and sweet

This is a small RV that is very sweet on the inside. You can easily walk to a beautiful beach that is blocks away and not many people on it. The location is in a trailer park but the trailers on either side are deserted.

Perfect!

Jonathan is awesome! Asked if it was possible to check in shortly after lunch & he was able to make it happen. The camper was perfect for myself and my pup. It was furnished with everything that I needed/wanted to include Monk fruit sweetener for my coffee! Short walk to beach access. I will DEFINITELY stay again
