An outdoor enthusiast’s vacation playland. Waterports, fishing, hiking, biking, trail riding, wildlife viewing, nature walks, a setting to relax and enjoy with friends and family- this cabin has it all. It even has what we call an Eagle’s perch at the top of the cabin to enjoy the scenery from. If you’re looking to connect with nature, this is a pristine, secluded place to enjoy it from. Solar powered with a generator backup- going green was never so easy.

We were amazed how quiet and peaceful it was all week. I especially appreciated the kayak and how smooth the water in the slough was, also crystal clear, shallow. I felt I was the only one on the lake most of the time. Water is very shallow there, great for everyone. My husband fished right on the shore sitting in a lawn chair, pulled in fish one after another. So very relaxing. Great fire pit and plenty of wood.

peaceful get away

Our stay at this cabin was nothing short of amazing. Very nice, secluded property with everything you need. Ron was very nice to work with. We look forward to returning in the future.

Private and secluded!

We loved where this cabin is located! It's so secluded and private! The cabin is so so so cool! We loved having our own beach area as well! We made so many great memories between kayaking, swimming, campfires and just sitting around listening to the birds! Hoping to come back every year!

Off grid oasis

What a great property! The cabin is located on Chicagoan Lake just a short drive from Iron River or Crystal Falls. We fished, kayaked and had multiple bonfires!. Ron is an excellent host!

Little Slice of Heaven

Loved this place! Cabin had everything; stuff we normally bring because it’s never stocked at a rental was all there. Secluded bay of a larger lake made it feel like we were the only ones on the water. Midway between Iron River and Crystal Falls made it an absolute ideal location. Great fishing and family fun spot!

Family trip and wanted more family time and NO TV. Secluded cabin and access to water toys. Mosquitoes were biting, but bring plenty of repellant. Camp fire every night. Solar and generator provided power. Generator enclosed and away from cabin. Ate breakfast and lunch at the cabin and went out for dinner. Alice's in Iron River is excellent and then there's Curious Pig in Crystal Falls. Very good BBQ joint. If you're looking to get away, this is the place. Ron, owner, is very personable and replies if you have questions.

Ron is an awesome host! He called upon our arrival and was available if we needed anything. The home is beautiful and well stocked inside and out! Everything was clean and fresh! The kids enjoyed the kayaks. Life jackets were available also. We were very happy with our stay!

A piece of heaven

My family had a wonderful time at Ron's log cabin. It is very much secluded and relaxing. We brought our 2 dogs and they loved it. We spent time fishing, kayaking, and hanging out on the beautiful porch. It was a great time!

Extremely Peaceful

It was just what we needed! I haven’t felt this refreshed in a long time. This cabin was beyond what we expected. Ron was lovely to work with and his craftsmanship of the cabin is extraordinary! The lake and land was breathtaking and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Our family had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cabin on Lake Chicagon! The cabin was spotless and well-maintained, with a peaceful, secluded setting that made it feel like a true getaway. The kids (and adults!) had a blast using the paddle boards and kayaks—the lake was perfect for exploring and relaxing.Even though temperatures climbed above 90 during part of our stay, we mostly stayed comfortable thanks to the shade and lake breeze.We especially loved gathering around the fire pit each evening—such a great way to wind down the day. The nearby town was convenient for grabbing groceries and supplies, making everything easy and stress-free.Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and fun lake retreat.

Relaxation at it's best!

The home is beautiful and the drive through the woods to the cabin is breathtaking. Cabin is exactly what we hoped for to get away but not feel like we were roughing it. Very well stocked and the views are amazing. Completely secluded and no noise or views of anyone else. The highlight for me was meeting Ron, the man who built the place. He is a truly good man who is very easy to communicate with and help with any questions. So much to see in the area, already planning our next trip out. A+++ All Around!

I almost don’t want to leave a review because I want this cabin available all the time!! It was AMAZING! Secluded and private, almost felt like our own personal lake! Water toys were easy to bring down to the water and they were clean and ready to go! Kayaking the lake was enjoyable and the people on the lake were all friendly! The lake was not so busy that you worried about boats. The cabin was clean and very comfy! Plenty of beds if you have a lot of guests! We never had a problem with having power and the water pressure was good! Our dogs probably had more fun than we did! They would wake up in the morning and run straight to the lake to splash around and chase frogs! (Just don’t let the frogs get hurt) Ending the day by the fire overlooking the lake with a beautiful breeze was our nightly routine. I have already shared this listing with so many people!! That’s how much we loved it. We will DEFINITELY be booking again and hopefully for longer! If you’re reading this review don’t pass on booking here! You won’t be disappointed

We enjoyed our stay here so much. The property is in a serene, secluded spot. We used the kayak and row boat. There’s a new master bedroom on the main floor with a full bath (shower). The large, beautiful table was perfect for family meals and playing games. The owner was friendly and responsive. We would love to stay here again sometime.

My family and i had a blast. The place was beautiful. The one giant room for all nine of us was a little odd (we have a few snorers). But overall it was awesome.

Great get-away

Just beautiful. From the location to the cabin itself. It was also very secluded but at the same time close to Iron River and Crystal Falls. We enjoyed our time there very much.

Great secluded getaway, but with a loft not rooms

We had 4 adults and 4 children staying here. There was plenty of room for us all but the “rooms” are not actual rooms as there are no walls separating the areas upstairs except for the bathroom. The owner provided everything we needed for the stay down to a stack of towels for each of us. The kitchen had plenty of space to work and eat. The fridge is small but worked well. The house has several distinct gathering areas for each floor including the “Eagles Nest” which is the upper loft/attic area which everyone, especially the kids loved. The cabin is far from anyone else so the property has all the privacy you’d want. It was only 10 minutes from a large public beach or 15 minutes from a grocery store. There are a lot of beautiful woods to romp and explore in. The fishing was great as was the row boat to do it from. Access to 2 kayaks and a standing paddle board provided hours of entertainment so the kids did not notice there was no TV. The owner was responsive, kind, and helpful whenever needed.

Relaxing

This was a beautiful place to stay. They were very accomidating and the location very peaceful. Nice cabin experience with a flavor for 'roughing it', yet with most conveniences. No TV, no problem. Wonderful to watch the teenagers engaging in games together!! The fishing was good too.
