At Bonding Time LLC, we invite you to come enjoy this beautiful new construction home on Curtis Lake in Waushara County. Relaxation at the lake in the middle of peaceful Amish country, and amazing sunsets year round. Great for all ages, as the expansive 2 1/2 acre yard is level and the 130 feet of sandy bottom shoreline is walk-in entry. Imagine laughing and telling stories at the firepit while roasting marshmallows while the kids play on the playset. Sit outside all day in the summer and enjoy this peaceful 35 acre no-wake lake. Everyone will have something to enjoy whether it's fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, row boat or canoeing.
Indoors there's an area to socialize on each level of the house, including a "theater" area and game room with ping pong table and darts. Air hockey table in the garage does not need coins to operate.
There's plenty of space to spread out over three levels. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a loft TV area with a queen sleeper sofa. Main level has a master bedroom King bed with en suite bathroom and open concept living / dining area, and an additional shared full bathroom. Lower level has an entertainment area, "theater" area, and two Queen bed bedrooms with a shared full bathroom.

Dogs allowed at owner discretion. Please inquire before booking! Apply fee when making your reservation.

The house has outdoor surveillance cameras that are not to be covered or adjusted at any time.

Please, no sidewalk chalk.

The washer & dryer are mainly for owner use and we provide enough detergent for you to wash & dry the bath towels before check out. If you need to do a couple of loads of personal laundry during your stay that’s okay, but please do not plan for more than that.

** We provide a limited supply of products (3 rolls toilet paper per bathroom and 2 rolls of paper towels per week), Napkins, Kleenex, Saran Wrap, Ziploc baggies, trash bags, foil, shampoo, laundry soap, etc.) but do not replenish during your stay.

The kitchen will be stocked with everything (except food) you need to make and serve a meal for a large group. You shouldn’t need to bring kitchen items from home unless there’s something special you don’t travel without! Ask if you have any questions. There is a second refrigerator in the garage. Plan to bring ice if you want it for drinks or coolers.

We had a wonderful stay! This home was perfect for our 3 families with young kids. The house was extremely clean with a lot of fun activity options - ping pong & air hockey were a hit! The large, flat yard with a swing set was great for outdoor play, and we loved the private beach area along with kayaks, canoes, and the Lilly pad for fun-filled days on the lake.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake home with family including small children. The layout was perfect! Each family had their own space to sleep and the living room, dining room and kitchen are open concept and spacious. We had a few minor issues during our stay but the hosts responded immediately and took care of the problem. They were very friendly and responsive. Although we didn’t get to use the outside space very much because of the weather, the backyard and lake access is gorgeous. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation!

Girls Weekend Away

I have stayed with Diane and Dave several times and have always been extremely pleased! From the booking to the check out, Diane and Dave are amazing hosts! This stay was a girlfriend getaway and everything was perfect! The home is beautiful and very well stocked! You are able sit back and enjoy your vacation the minute you open the front door!

Amazing place to stay!

We absolutely loved it here and are thinking of booking again in the future. The home was absolutely gorgeous and on a small, idyllic lake where we watched bald eagles fishing for their breakfast. We had 6 adults, 4 kids aged 8-13 and a dog. My kids LOVED the ping pong table and my nephew claimed the air hockey table. There were enough bedrooms/beds for everyone to sleep comfortably and enough space for everyone to spread out. We liked the 3 separate TV areas so the teens and tweens could have an anime marathon while we watched a movie upstairs.We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, rowing out to see the fish and get a closer look at the birds and forest around the lake. My kids had an absolute blast and best of all were not glued to their phones the entire time. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. We didn’t explore much of the area, instead we enjoyed the solitude. Our family brought all the food and everything you need to cook and serve a meal is provided.The hosts are kind and super responsive with any questions we had during our stay. I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful and relaxing!

We had a very relaxing time on this beautiful property! The flat yard, playground and sandy beach were perfect for the little ones, and we all enjoyed using the paddle boards, kayaks, etc. The sunsets are truly stunning and the mist on the water in the mornings, beautiful too. Inside was great too, the kitchen cooking pans, utensils, etc. well stocked and the beds were comfy.

Relaxation at the lake

Great property, stocked with toys to enjoy the lake. Good location with access to welcoming communities nearby. We had a small issue with the hot water but our host, Dave, came over immediately to take care of it.

Gorgeous and relaxing lake house

We absolutely adored this lake house. It is beautiful and clean and we immediately felt at home. The property is a gem and we were often the only ones out on the small, mirror lake. The sunsets were some of the best we've seen and we have views of the Pacific Ocean from our home in California. We really loved this property and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Family memories

Beautiful lake home. The grandkids spent most of their time playing on the beach or playing on the swings and slides, while my sons spent most mornings fishing. The house had everything we needed to entertain ourselves on rainy days, especially the ping pong tournaments. We would definitely rent again.

Family getaway

We are huge fans of Abby Shores. Two days of rain didn’t limit our fun. The day with sun was certainly a blast with the expansive yard and lake access, and all the watercraft options. On the rainy days, a combination of our own favorite games and those supplied kept us happy and busy. You get a great balance of privacy, the feeling of being quite a bit farther up north, and also close enough access to town and local bars. The new Yoders Amish grocery eight-ten minutes away is a great stop for most pantry needs.

Our Favorite VRBO to date!

We have booked summer lakeside vacation rentals as a gathering spot for family & friends every year for many years....Simply put, Abbey Shores is head and shoulders above the rest! It is that extremely rare combination of an upscale yet very comfortable and welcoming home on a clean, clear, serene lake. The house and property layout make it ideal for gathering groups of all ages to reunite and create those lifelong memories everyone hopes for. Fabulous House!!

5 stars to all the things!! We had a party of 11 relatives staying the weekend for a wedding at the nearby Caribou Bay Retreat. The weather was beautiful and we loved the indoor and outdoor space this home provided. Everyone had their own spaces! We had 15yrs to 84 yrs in the same house and it was lovely! The beds were quite comfortable and the pillows weren't pancake style like you get in hotels. Kitchen was well appointed and we cooked and grilled during our stay. The lake scenery was beautiful and we made good use of the row boat and paddleboat. The outside games were also used. Even though we didn't have a fire (burn ban) we all sat around the fire pit enjoying the day. The caretakers provided great instructions and all the rules were definitely within reason. We took care of their house as if it were our own. Also, my husband loved the football memorabilia in the lower level! Great house and great people to work with!

Don’t hesitate, book it!

This home exceeded our expectations and was absolutely fantastic. Diane was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. We had a group of five kids (aged 8-12) and six adults. There was ample space for everyone and the kids had a blast with the play areas. Air hockey and ping pong were total hits! The water toy options were plentiful and kept us all busy. All in all we had an absolutely wonderful stay and hope to be back next year!

Relaxing Getaway House

Very nice property and home. Owners were accommodating but required a separate agreement on top of Vrbo agreement. The house was mostly clean, but we had to clean the freezer before use. And there were not enough batteries for the remotes, needed to move them from remote to remote. Minus the small inconveniences, a great place to stay.

Review

Great house and property. Leak in plumbing that resulted in a very musty smell in a downstairs bed room even with use of dehumidifier. Owners were prompt in addressing but not sure how they will get rid of smell without some major work with sheetrock and replacing flooring. We stayed 2 years ago, and an electric pontoon was available. Not informed would not be an option. This was a disappointment for some of the family members. Would still highly recommend and return again.

Beautiful home, large private yard

This house is brand new and the hosts have provided everything needed for a great experience. Plenty of cookware and dishes so you can take advantage of the wonderful kitchen which is open to the living room, dining area, and yard and lake beyond. Large patio with new furniture and a large firepit with rugged adirondack chairs. All the bedding and pillows were soft and luxurious. Ping-pong and TV downstairs for rainy days. Large yard includes cornhole and ladder golf, or bring your own volleyabll net or other games, there's plenty of room. You won't see many people on the lake except an occasional paddleboarder or Amish guy fishing with his kid. Public landing is next door but the privacy fence helps you forget that it is there and we only saw a few families using it during our stay. Note that the yard isn't completely fenced, your dog can get down the shore to the landing or other properties in the other direction if she's inclined. The yard is very private between the fence on one side and trees on the other and most of the other properties on the lake were vacant or at least appeared that way. The pontoon won't get you anywhere fast, SUPs and kayaks are the better way to explore the lake. Great communications with the hosts. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! The big flat yard was perfect for yard games. The shallow water, water toys and sand beach entertained all for hours along with the mini playground. The house had plenty of space for all to relax together or apart. Very peaceful and relaxing, would absolutely recommend.

Beautiful home and large backyard. Plenty of kitchen space and bedrooms were roomy and comfortable.There were ample supply of water crafts for us to use. The only wish we have is that the water were deeper and swim able. There was a lot of algae and muck so we couldn’t enjoy being in the water. Even to paddle board or kayak was difficult to cut through the weedy areas of the lake. We would love to come back if the lake were clean and swim able. Also, there was a beautiful stone fire pit that we would have totally enjoyed but the bugs were horrible after dusk therefore we couldn’t be outside.

We live nearby in Wautoma, WI on a lake there. Lake life is just amazing and we can't get enough! We moved there full time a few years ago and our two daughters are heavily invested in helping us run the properties we own. We are in the health care field, but love having vacation rentals as a side "job" (if you can even call it that)! It is heart-warming for us to watch families and friends gather together at our homes to bond with one another and make lasting memories.

This Curtis Lake property is simply beautiful! We enjoy the new construction and homey decor. It is amazing to find a property over 2 acres worth on a lake! We are blessed. The back yard is flat and level, perfect for people of all ages. The outdoor living space is quiet and roomy, and connects via a path to the awesome firepit. A few steps further and you're at the playset and the beachy area. We cannot forget to mention the amazing sunsets you'll enjoy.
This house is in a very convenient location. Minutes away you can get food & beverage, Amish bakery, an A&W float or meal, or jump on the interstate for a short drive to Devil's Lake, the WI Dells, or head to Stevens Point. Wautoma is super close too! This is a great central WI location for people coming together from Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, MN, and IA. You won't want to go back home ... trust us!

This home is in a great central location, an hour or less drive from Madison, Oshkosh, and Stevens Point. A quick 5-10 minute drive gets you on the interstate, to A&W for a root beer float, or a gas station trip. Make sure you stop by the Amish Bakery just a couple of minutes down the road. Only 15 minutes to Wautoma, offering excellent golf courses, Silvercryst supper club, Moose Inn supper club, Milty Wilty drive in, and two grocery stores! An added bonus is that the Ice Age Trail is only about 5 minutes from the house! Once you're here you'll never want to leave, and you'll already be planning your return.
Take the roads slowly, as you'll like encounter an Amish horse and buggy or two!
