"Avalanche Shores" is an amazing lake house, located on the crystal-clear waters of Silver Lake! A unique fusion of rustic cottage and contemporary home, your stay will have something for everyone. 14 beds sleep 20 in this newly renovated vacation rental accommodating huge family vacations and big groups with parking for 6 vehicles. Outside you will enjoy the amazing lake views while you fish, paddleboard, kayak, swim, ski, hot tub, or just sit around the bonfire. Trailer your own boat and tie it off on our 30ft pier. Inside, you can enjoy the large spaces as you spread out around a wood-burning fireplace, large dining area, and host poker night at our 10-chair poker table! You'll have everything you need for a worry-free vacation, which is wheelchair friendly. We have a 20' Pontoon available for rent, and you'll be minutes away from the best supper clubs, shops, golf and eateries in Washara County! Winter getaway

This was a perfect weekend getaway for us. Close to Nordic Mountain. The hot tub was a highlight for winter.

Had a great stay!

Our group stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and we had the best time. The house was clean and overall a great property with easy lake access. Mike was a dedicated host in ensuring we had everything we needed. Hot tub and poker table were a plus!

Wonderful place to make memories!

We enjoyed our stay at Avalanche Shores very much, from Pontoon rides, hot tubbing and swimming the kids loved every minute! Pizza from Christianos was amazing, custard from Milty Wiltey’s was like none other and of course Silvercryst Supper club never disappoints. This property has everything you need for a great vacation and Michael was very attentive.

Fun long weekend at Silver lake

Silver lake was clean and beautiful. A great lake for fishing, boating and swimming. Supper club on the lake was a plus. Loved the Sandbar hut for afternoon drinks and kids smoothies. Communication with owner was prompt and helpful! We even taught a few in our group how to play poker on the nice poker table!

Family getaway

The property was just as presented on VRBO. Property owner responded quickly to answer any questions we had. Was all around great family gathering with grocery stores very conveniently located. Right on highway so alittle noisy but deck was very big and overlooking lake

Mostly great

The view from the living room was wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace a lot The only issues I had were that the water smelled like rotten eggs and the bathrooms were pretty small. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

A Perfect Lake House Experience

Our resent stay at Mike's lake house was absolutely incredible, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Firstly, the communication with the host was prompt, friendly, and helpful. He was readily available to answer any questions. The lake house itself is a true gem. The interior design was modern and inviting, with tasteful decor. Every room was thoughtfully furnished, providing all the amenities one could need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with high-quality appliances and had all necessary utensils and cookware. The highlight for us was a beautiful lake view from the terrace, with perfect sunrises. The outdoor space provided the perfect spot to lounge, read a book, or simply soak up the sun. We enjoyed fishing and exploring the lake by paddle board, kayaks and the pontoon boat. The location of the house was great as well. It was conveniently close to local shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this lake house to anyone seeing a memorable and enjoyable getaway.

Awesome vacation

We spent a week here with our entire family of 16 and it was great. The home was well stocked with anything you may need for cooking, coffee, linens - lots of towels for bath and the beach, soap for laundry and dishes. The host was very easy to reach with any questions we had. There were kayaks, rafts and other swimming toys. We rented the pontoon he offered and it was great. The lake was great for swimming, fishing and boating. Would definitely recommend this place. There was a huge deck with lots of seating, a hot tub and a nice solo firepit. The owner even supplied wood for the fire. All appliances worked great. There was plenty of hot water for showers. Afternoon shade on the deck made it very comfortable even on the hottest days. It was fun to see an eagle soaring over the lake multiple times. The kids loved the swimming raft. The house is in the bay of the lake so we're tucked back from the main path of the big boats with big wakes. Made it nice to swim and float.

Great lake house for family vacation

We had a great time spending time with our family ages 17-75 at this lake house. Location on the lake was perfect for all of us to enjoy either by sitting on the large deck enjoying the view of the water or going in the lake to swim, paddle board, float around, or go on the kayaks. We rented the pontoon boat from Mike (the owner) which was a great size to go around the lake and have the kids swim off. The house had everything we needed including lots of towels (both beach and bath), lots of cups/dishes, and well stocked with utensils and pretty much anything you’d need to make a meal. Kids all loved staying in the barracks room together. Probably one of the favorite things was the hot tub which was using daily and had a nice view of the lake when in! We brought our dog and the side yard that was fenced in was perfect to let him go in. Silver lake was great for boating and swimming- it was clear and in the shallow areas you could see the bottom. This house is located near many great restaurants, 2 grocery stores, several individually owned coffee shops and cute small shops in the downtown area. Only negative we would say is that all the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs were a bit steep which my mother in law had harder time going up. But there is a sofa sleeper on the first (main) floor that someone could use if they couldn’t do stairs. Mike (owner) was quick to answer all our questions and gave us great recommendations for food and things to do. House was very clean.

The Lake is amazing. The house is great, but you won't spend much time there with all of the activities available to you on Big Silver. Breathtakingly beautiful.
