Clam Lake Cottage Visit

Very clean, quiet, comfortable and relaxing cottage. The lake views were terrific and we were fortunate to have great Fall weather. The owner (Ed) was very helpful to assure that we would have a great time. This was definitely a place to book again.

Ample parking for our car & boat trailer. Fully stocked kitchen. Huge family room with beautiful windows overlooking the water. Large, private lot - great for yard games! Individual a/c units in each living space were fantastic. Comfortable furniture & bedding. Gas grill & washer/dryer were a bonus. The dock was a great spot to moor our boat and enjoy a cup of coffee/glass of wine.

Awesome!!!

Perfect! Family and I went up for a quick weekend. We have never been to Torch/Clam lake. This was the perfect location to enjoy both . The dock in the morning and the fire pit at night.. Can’t wait to get back. I hope we can book this place again. Thank you.

Home away from home

Was a wonderful experience from booking to staying a whole week. Property owner had the house well stocked with all your necessities! From Bath towels, paper towel, Tupperware, tinfoil, and all the spices including salt and pepper , board games for the kids too to keep them occupied during rainy times! Easy access for our pontoon boat at his dock. Gazebo and fire pit were a big hit with the family.

Ideal spot and property for Torch Lake and Lake Bellaire

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clam Lake. The cottage was well-equipped, clean, and even included thoughtful extras like firewood, s'mores sticks, extra linens, etc. The cottage is ideally located on Clam Lake. We rented a boat for two days from Butch's Marine which is just down the river. One day spent on the incredible Torch Lake sandbar, and the next spent exploring Clam Lake, the Grass River, and Lake Bellaire. All of these locations are a simple boat ride from the cottage. The dock is suitable for tying up at the end of the evening and even doing a little fishing. Ed is a terrific host and we'd recommend this spot to anyone.

Five-Star Host and Cottage – We’ll Be Back!

We stayed 5 nights (5 adults) at Edmund’s cottage on Clam Lake and it was hands down the best rental experience I’ve ever had—and I’ve stayed in many. Communication was clear, timely, and helpful. The cottage was exactly as described, but exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen Tempur-Pedic bed, plus a sunroom with a love sac couch that converts into a very comfortable queen bed with a quilted topper. Each room has its own A/C unit, which was a huge plus. The cottage was well stocked—spices, foil, soap, detergent, firewood, and more. Check-in was seamless and flexible. We appreciated the snacks, bottled water, and local tips. Clam Lake is ideal—quiet yet large enough for boating and water sports, and just a short boat ride to Torch Lake. Outdoor seating, a fire pit, and a dock made lake life easy. Edmund is an exceptional host. We will absolutely be back!

We will only stay here!!

Absolute gem of a place! Edmond was super helpful and accommodating. He is the best! We loved the location and amenities of this quiet lake house. It was so nice our two teens didn’t wanted to leave. We rented a boat down the lake and the pier at the home was perfect to tie it up at night. Fire pit was a perfect end to the day after a long day on the lake, and with the home sitting on a quiet street you really feel like you are in a piece of heaven. The property is very well maintained, and has everything you could need for a lake vacation. The owner is easy to communicate with it and very helpful. It’s a 10 out of 10. We will be back again for sure. The cox family

Relaxing stay at clam lake

We enjoyed our stay on Clam Lake! The beds were very comfortable, including the couch bed. The house was clean. The owner communicated with us throughout our stay when necessary. The only bummer was we couldn’t use the dock. We brought our boat (with a deep v hull) and were not able to use the boat dock due to low water levels. The dock would probably be okay for a pontoon boat or similar. You might want to scout out ramps when you get there as some are better than others. Most ramps have very little parking nearby so go early to launch! We enjoyed going to dockside, shorts brewing and torch lake beer company. We had a fantastic time at the sandbar on lake torch. Beautiful lakes! Being right on clam lake was very relaxing.

Relaxing and peaceful

One of our must haves when looking for a place for vacation was a property that had it's own dock where we could moor our boat. This place did not disappoint! The house gives you a cabin/cottage feel and the view from the sunroom is breathtakingly beautiful! We wish our stay could have been longer. The amenities were plentiful and the fire pit area was perfect!

Highly recommend

The cottage was spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed! The owner’s response time was very quick and communicating with him was easy. The dock worked great for our boat and the location is beautiful. We have stayed on Torch Lake before but preferred this location. Water was calmer and less boat traffic but it was an easy boat trip to the Torch Lake sandbar. The owner also provided great suggestions for restaurants and activities. We took a boat trip from Clam River to Lake Bellaire which was very enjoyable. Overall a wonderful vacation!

Perfect spot.

Location is great. Loved clam lake. I would definitely come back and stay again. Only thing missing was a beachfront. Ed was great to work with. He was very accommodating. Our bed was comfy and slept well.

Another great vaca!!!

This is our 1st year staying at this property. It is everything we could have hoped for. The kitchen is stocked well with just about everything we needed to cook breakfasts and a few dinners. The A/C in each room worked great. All the beds are very comfortable. The room facing the lake was great for winding down at the end of the night. Being able to eat outside under the gazebo was great!!! We used the dock and it was easy to get into. We will definitely stay here again and the property is highly recommended. Communication with Wd was great. Easy checking and checkout process.

Perfect getaway cabin on the lake

This property was very clean, with all the amenities you need in very good, like new condition. Beds were very comfortable. We truly enjoyed the deck over the lake for our morning coffee and afternoon cocktail. Nice grill and relaxing firepit with plenty of wood on site. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Ed for sharing your perfect getaway cabin on the lake!

Lovely stay

You will be very comfortable at this cottage. The location is great for going to Torch or Lake Bellaire. The fire pit is wonderful and the dock is great if you have a boat. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked. There is no need to bring spices or Tupperware from home even. Each room has its own individual climate control and there is a convenient washer and dryer.

Wonderful Stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The perfect getaway for my husband and I! Seamless experience! The cottage was clean and comfortable, well appointed. New dock, which was great for tying up the boat. Also, had parking for boat trailer. Nice fire pit, with Adirondack chairs. Fast WIFI which was nice to have. Flat screen TV with Roku. The owner and caretaker of the property were very friendly and responded promptly to questions. Great experience! We will be back in the future! Highly recommend!
