Casita on Arabella Mountain

Guest (studio) casita located on Arabella Mtn. in Limpia Crossing, 9 miles from Fort Davis and 8 miles from McDonald Observatory. Cools mornings, pleasant afternoons. The casita has everything you need to get away from it all. Sleep in or have early coffee and watch the wildlife. One can choose to have dinner in town or cook and have a quiet dinner in the casita. Star gazing is beautiful here in the Davis Mountains.

The casita has kitchen/dining area with seating for 4, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot. Large walk-in shower with towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer. Queen bed and a queen Lazy-Boy Slumber Aire sofa sleeper with linens, blankets, pillows. TV with DVD player with DVD's available and DISH TV. Cell phone booster to improve cell service. Playing cards and jigsaw puzzles, books on the area and astronomy available for guests to use. Washer and dryer. Small BBQ grill for your use.

Guests have access to the casita and are able to hike up Arabella Mountain if desired.

The host was very welcoming and everything was exactly as she said it would be. The Casita is a wonderful place for a great mountain get-away with all the amenities it touts. We made immediate use of the washer and dryer as we had a week's worth of laundry to do. Everything we needed was there, although I did furnish my own laundry detergent, but detergent was already there (the same brand!)

Enjoyed our stay, cabin was very clean and stocked with everything you need. The host stopped by while we were outside and introduced herself and husband. Enjoyed the wildlife (mule deer) and had a beautiful rainbow the first night and a gorgeous sunrise the next morning.

The Casita was quiet, comfortable, and wonderful. Everything we needed, and more, for our Davis Mountain trip. It’s super easy to find and right near Fort Davis, Davis Mountain Observatory, and Davis Mountain State Park. Highly recommend and would love to come stay again!

Easy Getaway in Fort Davis

Deanna's Casita was a simple and perfect little getaway outside Fort Davis and close to the McDonald Observatory. The private covered porch with beautiful views of the mountains was my main go-to for coffee in the morning or dinner at dusk. Lovely views of the mountains and neighborhood are at your front door. High desert animals are the only sounds you hear here. It is a super quiet and comfortable place to stay!

A nice stay

The house was clean, everything we needed, cute & decorated nice, we really liked the house, the map wall was cool, the extra quilt on bed was good to have, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, the ac worked good & was quiet, good coffee makers, & we enjoyed the patio & grill, Got to see wildlife, rabbits, deer, peccary. It was quiet & really nice. We enjoyed your books & you have the house set up nice & all the info on fridge was good to have.It was good to meet Deanna, she was so nice & helpful, your muffins were so good. I would recommend this nice place & would like to stay again. Thank you Deanna, it was such a nice stay.

Peaceful! Just what we wanted!

Wonderful place to stay. Well stocked with all necessary things. Clean and well maintained property. Quiet and peaceful. Great Sunrise views from patio. Only 15 mins to McDonald observatory and within 30 mins to Davis mountain state park and historic site. Muffins provided by host are very delicious. We will highly recommend this place to all our friends and if we visit again, we will definitely book this again.

Wonderful, very clean, beautiful views

My brother, cousin and I picked this cabin as a base for our 4-day adventure motorcycle rides through the beautiful Fort Davis - Presidio - Big Bend area. This place was the PERFECT place. Night sky star gazing is wonderful. Additionally, this cabin is situated such that you get amazing sunrise AND sunset views. The cabin is pristinely clean, has everything we needed, and the hosts were wonderful. Both of the husband/wife team stopped by to check on us at check-in and again mid-way through our stay. They are the quintessential all-American, nice couple. I give this place my highest recommendation. We will be back.

Wonderfully Clean and Cute

This is a very clean casita and had everything we needed and more! The hostess is wonderful, and furnished the casita with so many helpful extras such as books, maps, and more. It is in a perfect location for visiting Davis Mountains National Park and the McDonald Observatory.

We enjoyed our stay in this Casita. It was very clean and comfortable. We had a large living space and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our host was very helpful and we highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Mountainside Getaway

Cozy little house on the side of a mountain! Comfy bed and pillows, nice sized shower so you don't bump your elbows, and far away from any road noise. The neighborhood is Dark Sky friendly, so it's a perfect place to sit outside and see the stars. Building is situated so you get a wonderful view of sunrises and sunsets and, if you're lucky, get to see a storm at the top of the mountain across the valley. We also got to see aoudad, deer, a tarantula crossing the road, and a coyote. The host is welcoming and easy to contact if you need anything. I wish we could have stayed longer! We're both looking forward to coming back soon.

Great place to stay!

This was a great place to stay for peace & quiet in the Fort Davis area and easily accessible. The casita was very clean, spacious, well equipped and had two very comfortable beds. It's very close to the state park as well as the observatory, which is a great place to visit.

Wake up to a mountain sunrise

We could have chosen to stay in town in a motel room but luckily I found Casita Arabella on a mountainside at 2900’ with living room/bedroom, a spacious dining and well-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, plus birds and deer on the mountain. No near neighbors, no noise, nice swivel-mounted tv.
