Centrally located to all the things to do in the Black Hills. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Main living room and a recreation area in the basement. Includes washer, dryer, garage space and gas grill. Large deck that over looks the Meadow. We border the National forest, trails start at end of driveway

When we walked in, we loved how clean it was!!! Was very nice, rustic, perfect for what we were doing, side by side driving around the Hills.

Our stay in the Blaxkhills

We had a great time while we were in the Blackhills. Our grandkids had a ball 4-wheeling. This property is so close to so many trails. It was perfect. We will definitely go back to this property next year. We loved it.

Mountain Escape

We had a family of 12, and we all slept comfortably. We loved the home-like feel of Rusty Meadows. We loved the pond, and went fishing the kids loved it. The home provided many useful amenities. We loved our stay.

Excellent Property for All Ages

Awesome for kids and adults, extraordinary woodworking through. The house was done up really well. Location is awesome for ORV riding and exploring the northern hill.

Family Vacay

The place is very accommodating for a large group. Very beautiful setting, nice and quiet. Fun listening to nature early in the am with sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee. Loved it!!!

Family Vacation

The location of the property is perfect. It is quiet and relaxing yet not really a far drive to other places. Close to trails for sxs. Enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the meadow and watching the deer. The lodge is as advertised and has everything you need. The family had a great time and the grandkids enjoyed the sandbox and large yard to run around. I would highly recommend Rusty Meadow Lodge

Cabin was great for our 16 person bachelor party very comfortable and well furnished! Beautiful location and fairly secluded. Our only complaint was 40 minutes from deadwood

Wonderful Experience

This property was great. There were 15 in our group and there was plenty of space. We had 7 grandchildren with us so the bunk bed area worked so well. Property was well stocked, lots of towels which was great!!! Area was beautiful and located close enough to all the attractions. Would absolutely recommend a stay!!

Beautiful property

This property was amazing!! We rode UTVs for a few days and the trails start at the end of the driveway. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. Jessica is so easy to work with. This property was perfect for adults and kids. We will definitely want to come back and continue riding more of the trails!!

Beautiul getaway!

Spacious, clean, cozy right down to the tiniest detail. Beautiful scenery, plenty of parking space and quiet. A little difficult to get down the 1 1/2 mile gravel drive on a motor cycle but we made it. Highly recommend this rental. You will not regret it at all.

Awesome Quiet Getaway Place

The property is awesome for all ages including the group of 16 of my family that stayed over July 4th. The site is just off the main roads enough to allow for enjoying the serenity of the hills but close enough to area attractions and towns for those in our group that adventured out to do tourist type things. The bunkhouse for the 8 grandkids was AWESOME!! Giving them time away from adults for plating cards, games or watching tv. The cabin came stocked with plenty of towels, bedding etc as well as being stocked with all kitchen items we needed! I would highly recommend this cabin for families or groups as a hidden oasis!

Great place! We are definitely returning. You can’t go wrong with this one

Just finished our stay at the house and all I can say is that it’s definitely one to stay at. The location is just a little ways off the road and provides a very quiet atmosphere. Sitting on the deck in the evening and watching the deer out in the field with a fire going is very relaxing. A very large elk walked across the field in the late afternoon and made for some great photos. Fire pit is perfect! Everything was! The communication with Jessica was very good. We enjoyed everything and are planning to return next year.

Family get away

We had our whole family get together and this place was big enough for all of us.The Kids loved the bunk room, adults that got stuck in there didn’t like the giggling, LOL. It was a nice location, we didn’t drive over an hour to anything. The road there was good. The cabin is secluded and in just such beautiful area. The deer visited us every evening. We all agreed that we would stay there again. We saved lots of money cooking there and never ate out. The kitchen is pretty well set up, a decent grill and amazing firepit area and a propane fire on the deck was used every day. If you have a big group it is perfect place to stay!

Family Vacation

Property was as advertised. Sometimes pictures are taken so well that the actual look is not the same. That was NOT the case with this property. There was plenty of room for all the kids. It was nice to hang out in the large yard. Bunk Beds were an absolute hit with the kids. There were nice little touches like games and toys for they young ones. One thing to keep in mind if you are a city family like ours, 20 miles in the hills and mountains is not the same as 20 miles on a highway or interstate. So going on adventures was a bit of a drive but the scenery made it worth it and the trips back gave time for the kids to rest, nap and rest for the evening activites. I would highly reccomend this property for you next family vacation!

You Will NOT Regret Your Stay - Book Now

The house and property were absolutely amazing and beautiful. The craftsmanship of the home and the work the owners put into it can be seen in every nook. The property itself is gorgeous. We enjoyed using the spotting scope and binoculars out on the deck. It's remote which was exactly what we wanted for our family get away. Plus enough space for us - 7 adults, 2 kids and 2 toddlers - to all be together without being crammed. We felt at home the second we walked in the door and it was so hard to leave. The owners have thought of everything you might need when staying plus a welcome gift. As stated, we enjoyed the quiet property. It's remote but close enough where you're not missing out on the must-see spots of the Black Hills and being stuck in the car all day (within an hour and a half of main attractions). I would absolutely book this property again in a heartbeat. This is the 3rd time we've visited the Black Hills in the last 5 years and this is by far the best place we've stayed.

Sturgis Stay

We rented this gorgeous property to attend the Sturgis bike rally. Its only 20 minutes from downtown Sturgis. However we were quickly inspired by the nature surrounding the property and decided that it was better to explore the grandeur of South Dakota. We used Rusty Meadows as a base station for daily rides to explore Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood, Mount Rushmore, Needles Highway, Iron Mountain, and Custer State Park. While staying at the Lodge,we woke up to gorgeous views of a green meadow and majestic Black Hills. Following daily rides, we unwound while taking advantage of all the amenities availed to us by the owners of this amazing log cabin. We smoked cigars and sipped bourbon by an outdoor firepit; we took hikes through wildflower meadows; we grilled steaks on the grill; and we fell asleep each night under a thick blanket of stars. Sturgis was fun, but it is just one superficial layer of the beauty that South Dakota has to offer, and the Rusty Meadows Lodge is the perfect venue to immerse yourself. Thank you Jessica and John!!

Amazing Property! You will have no regrets!

This was an absolutely amazing cabin. I’m always a little hesitant to book new places but trust me, don’t hesitate with this one. The place is lovely, clean, spacious and comfortable. We felt at home the minute we entered. There were 2 couples and 5 kids and there is plenty of room. We arrived to lovely welcome gift and hot chocolate bar for the kids. The home is so private and peaceful. The house had everything and then some! Not a detail was missed. The kitchen had everything including extra spices, ziplocks, coffee and every kitchen item you could ever need - roaster, griddle, pots, pans, bakeware, outdoor grill and more. The bathrooms were stocked with all toiletries. Forgot something, no problem they had deodorant, toothbrushes, Tylenol, bandaids etc etc. they thought of EVERYTHING! We enjoyed hiking the beautiful property and area. If you have time rent a UTV in Nemo and head for the hills! Too much fun! You are also a short scenic ride to Rapid City. Our family had the best time and everyone agrees we need to go back! We didn’t want leave! Jess was great to work with before and during our stay if we had a question or needed anything. Don’t hesitate, click the reserve button, you won’t regret it!

Secluded and perfect

What an amazing Christmas we had at this home. The bunk room was absolutely perfect for all the kids, they loved sleeping in one room. The hosts had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs. The beds and bathrooms were great. AMAZING tub in the master. We spent every day/night working on puzzles, playing board games, and enjoying our family. Went on walks w/ kids. Do not hesitate to rent this place, you won't regret it!

Welcome to Rusty Meadows Lodge in the South Dakota Black Hills! My name is Jessica Sperl, up above you have my husband John and our 5 kids, Jadyn, Rain, Mason, Tyce and Jori. We are from Medford Wisconsin. Here is a back story of how we came to the Black Hills. We visited the black hills in June of 2019. We stayed at another rental a few miles away. We fell in love with the area! So beautiful and peaceful! We thought “maybe we should have a place out here, we could rent it out and use it when we need a little mountain air!” John comes out this way every fall to hunt so why not! So in April of 2020 we found this fixer upper hidden in a meadow. I saw potential unlike my husband. So we bought it and started renovations in June of 2020. FINALLY finished in May of 2021! This has been a true labor of love. Many trips out here for a week at a time. All done by our amazing friends and family! Hard to believe we have such great people in our lives they’d drop everything and come out to help with only a payment of using the lodge! So Please enjoy our Lodge! We take pride in having everything you will need! We want your stay to be as relaxing at it can be! We have put a lot of thought and work into making this house just right. We found the best location away from other houses in a meadow bordering the national forest. I truly hope you enjoy your stay!

Our property borders the National Forest, the trails start at the end of the driveway. There is plenty of room to park trailers. You have use of half of the garage. The house was renovated in a very rustic and creative way! I hope you enjoy it! This was a labor of love!!
