Little Yellow House in Ferndale! Quiet, Cozy 3BR

NEW LISTING!! Walk to downtown Ferndale! All new furniture / decor, luxury bedding, quartz countertops… super clean and well-cared for. This comfy, freshly updated house is on a quiet street just blocks from restaurants, bars, coffee shops and more. Centrally located with easy access to freeways, 10-15 min drive to other downtown areas (Royal Oak, Detroit, Birmingham). Ideal for couples, business travelers, LGBTQ+, and families. Children always welcome, as are small pets (under 20 lbs).

The Space:
The whole house is yours for your stay, including a small fenced-in backyard & patio area with outdoor dining table, gas grille, and fire pit! Three bedrooms (2 queen + twin) and a convertible couch can comfortably sleep 5-6 guests. All modern conveniences are available including high-speed mesh Wi-Fi internet, new 55" HDTV (streaming services only), dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer, etc. If you are traveling with small children, we have additional amenities available such as high chair, stroller, playpen, car seats... just ask, we probably have it!

Guest access:
We have parking in the driveway, which will accomodate 2 cars. Additional free parking is available on the street. Easily walk / jog / bike to the center of downtown, 6 short blocks away!

Other things to note:
This is not a party house! It is a quiet residential area. Please respect your neighbors and the community. We live very close by if any situation or emergency arises.

We appreciated the clear communication and found the property to be clean and well kept. A few things to note for future guests: the downstairs living area could benefit from additional adult friendly seating and tables as currently there’s just one TV with a small couch, small round end tables, and a few bean bags. We also didn’t see any kitchen towels and noticed the sponges under the sink were older.Check out was at 11am, and we were contacted twice regarding our departure time due to a quick turnover, which made us feel a bit rushed. We didn’t reach out during our stay because we were busy and the listing noted the owners live nearby and are very responsive so to be fair, some of these items may have been resolved quickly if we had asked.Overall, a nice stay with good communication, just sharing this feedback in hopes it’s helpful for future guests.

Excellent home! We really enjoyed our time together here. All the comforts of home!! Very clean and warm! Perfect location, nice neighborhood and yard was a plus! The only thing we would have loved is a TV upstairs.

Stayed for a long weekend. This home is very clean and well maintained. Has everything you might need plus a nice little backyard area. The location is great if you're visiting Ferndale or areas of the city. The hosts are the best. Very communicative and helpful. Highly recommended.

We had a great long weekend at the Little Yellow House! The house was super cute and very clean. The location was perfect, just down the street from Downtown Ferndale. Highly recommend. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great Place to Stay

The house was very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do. The owners were also very responsive. The power was out when we first arrived, due to no fault of them, but they refunded us for the first night. We highly recommend staying here.

This house was perfect for a getaway to Detroit. Conveniently located to shop and eat in downtown Ferndale, while close enough to easily get into Detroit. House was clean with great amenities! Would stay here again!

Every thing we needed!

I won’t lie, I have stayed a lot of places that were disappointing. This place knocked it out of the park for our needs! I had a 15 month old who had a place to play and run around safely. Netflix available with the touch of a button, to distract her with Ms. Rachel as I set up the space! There were toys and other baby things available! It even had small touches like a fan and a sound machine! All things for us to feel like we were home. It was very clean and I well taken care of! The host was very responsive! Overall 10/10!

House was perfect for our weekend, close to downtown detroit and in a great neighborhood, felt safe the entire weekend. Hosts communicated promptly. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommend it!

Great location and perfect little place!

Walking distance to all the sights in Ferndale, but far enough from the main streets to keep things quiet at night. The space was cozy, small but had everything I needed to make my trip a success. Liz and Zach were great hosts and communicated the perfect amount.

Weekend getaway

A friend of mine for over 40 years and I took a weekend together in Detroit for my birthday - this house was perfect. Exactly as listed, but with more charm. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to some great shops and food, comfortable, well appointed, and immaculately clean. One of those places you just wish you had some more time to just "hang", and dive into the well stocked library. Great internet, appliances, washer/dryer - thanks for the perfect getaway.

We had a great stay at this property. Location was lovely, we felt very safe and a lot to do around the area. Liz was great at making sure we had everything we need. Property was very clean.

Everything was exactly what I had hoped for, and even nicer tbh. The hosts were great and the house is so cute and clean. The neighborhood is awesome as well. Will definitely stay there again next time I come to Detroit/Ferndale.

Super solid hosts. Surprising space in a walkable neighborhood

It was just me me, and whoa, this place is deceptively large once you notice the downstairs, which I didn't even use. Ran into a little random thing which the hosts were super-helpful and responsive with.I didn't cook there, can't comment on kitchen readiness for that.HIghly recommended as a home base- You can walk to everything you absolutely need and then you're going to have to drive everywhere else (because Detroit) and it's centrally located.
