SoliMar Azul unit offers king bed, galley kitchen, private entrance, private bathroom, shared balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea, WiFi, satellite TV, beach towels, chairs and cooler.

Located in the middle, between Isabel II and Esperanza & less than 1/4 mile from the entrance to the best unspoiled beaches Vieques has to offer. We're sure you'll find your studio very convenient for your stay.

We offer "Island Vehicles" for our guest at more than half the cost of rental companies. Yes, they have dents, dings, scrapes, scratches, squeaks & squeals but that's the true Vieques feel.

We'd love to have you stay with us and are happy to answer and questions you may have.

    Paul was an amazing host. He was so accommodating and kind. He always made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely stay here again. I highly recommend staying here.

    host was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Help us figure out transportation, and I loved the nice touch of having a couple of beach chairs in a small ice chest to take along with us for the day :-)

    Great Location

    This was exactly what we needed while on the island for 3 days! Paul was an amazing host! The unit was very clean and offered some personal touches we appreciated. Close to town and very close to the National Wildlife Refuge which was perfect! We plan to return!

    Great Stay

    We had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. Paul was great to work with. Location was close to everything, but it is on a busy road.

    Perfect location

    The host is great, easy to communicate with and super accommodating. The location is perfectly between Isabel and Esperanza. Esperanza is very loud and the noise transfers by way of loud music from cars and engine noise on the road in front of the house. The host kindly supplies earplugs but it is something to be aware of. Over all though a great stay!

    Cute and clean but not for light sleepers or those looking for quiet

    Pros: Very clean, interior as pictured, very good location in terms of being between the two villages and close to great beaches, fast communicationCons: The unit is about 15 yards off of the main road between the two villages. Beyond the sheer volume of traffic, there were vehicles going up and down blasting music all night. Earplugs were provided but it wasn't enough. In addition, there is heavy construction going on right across the road (including both weekend days), and the construction noise kept us from sitting on the balcony to have coffee or read, or nap in the afternoon. We were booked for 3 nights; after the first we made the decision to find other lodging. Paul was easy to work with and I appreciate that he provided a partial refund, which I did not ask for nor expect. This is great location for those who don't plan to be in the unit much during the day and who don't mind road noise at night. We are not those people.

    Get Away From it ALL

    I enjoyed my stay on Vieques at SoliMar. Paul was great. Picked me up and dropped off at the airport (good luck getting a taxi sometimes). Azul unit is nice barebones studio in the center of the small island. Rented a car from Paul too. Lots of great, unspoiled beaches (8 other people was crowded), bio-bay on moonless night is an absolute must. Other than that... not much to do but kick back and relax. Perfecto!

    Love the stay in this beautiful place ! Great host who is always there to answer all your questions ! Great sunrise from the morning and love sleeping with the doors open and felt safe with the gate.

    Fantastic and Relaxing

    We loved the proximity to both towns on Vieques. A few minutes drive to practically anywhere on the island. Our place was very clean and decorated nicely. Our host was kind and even gave us a lift to airport. Very convenient to rent a car from him also. We also enjoyed the pool after getting back from seeing the sights and beaches. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing getaway!

    Great little get away

    Paul our host was over the top hospitable. Helped with where to go places to see and eat. Provided us with transportation to and from. Highly recommend!!! We stayed for 2 nights. Pool access was 24 hours, our favorite part.

    Close to all our Favorite Places

    We had a wonderful stay with Paul and Gwen for our three nights on Vieques! My wife and I took the ferry in, and then took a taxi to our home for our stay. Paul was there waiting with the gate open to let us in, welcome us, and set us up with keys to the apartment and the island vehicle that we reserved from him. The vehicle (we named him Jethro) had some quirks (as advertised) but was fantastic for getting around the island and was a fair price compared to renting from a rental company. The unit was clean and well stocked. We made frequent use of the beach chairs and towels, as well as a boogie board as a booey for snorkeling. The unit is also very close to the entrance of the Nature Reserve, which was home to our favorite beaches, and very close to Esperanza for any Bio-Bay tours.

    Nice place and great hosts

    Enjoyed a great stay at Solimar Guest House. Hosts were excellent and gave us rides when needed. Pool is perfect and towels, beach chairs, and cooler to use made our beach trips that much more enjoyable. Rooms are clean and bright. Power went out on the island (actually most of PR) for a night and Paul was right on getting his generator fired up so we had power. They have cars to use which is a plus. You need a vehicle on Vieques. Good place to stay.

    Beautiful property on a fabulous Island

    We had a great stay - the apartments are as pictured, we loved the balcony and the pool area was perfect. The owner was very accommodating, he picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry terminal and was available to answer questions. There was also great extras like beach chairs, a mini cooler and sun tan lotion and after sun products available for guests. Great stay and we will be back!!

    Gwen & I pride ourselves on the "golden rule" of treating how you want to be treated. Our goal when we set out on this adventure was to provide a nice, clean, comfortable place for the budgeted and non-budgeted traveler alike. No, we're not a fancy place but we have clean studios and provide everything we think you'll need for your stay.
