Purple Door Retreat- Wi-Fi, 10 Minutes from Cascade Mountain

This freshly updated lower duplex unit is ready to impress! This apartment has two bedrooms and one full bath. Located in downtown Portage, just 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells and easy access to the interstate. Cascade mountain just a few minutes away. Lots of natural light and calming color palette will welcome you to relax. There is a driveway for off-street parking for one car and more street parking available.  Everything you need for a comfortable stay! The apartment is located on the 1st floor of the house. There is a private outside entrance and keypad door lock for access. (Look for the purple door at the front of the house) 



The Airbnb space is cozy, clean and has many amenities. It features two Queen size bedrooms with dressers/closets to unpack. Other features: new appliances, beautiful leather couch, smart TV with Netflix, WIFI and a porch to sip your coffee. 



*Please note- This apartment is older construction and is on the main floor.  The upper apartment may have guests as well...these lovely old floors are squeaky and the noise will carry to this unit. Each apartment asks for quiet time at 10:00pm.  





Guests can access the Airbnb space through a private outside door with a Smart Lock Deadbolt.  

Short walk to Neil's Wine Bar. Close to restaurants, movie theatre, the Levee walk along the Wisconsin River and WWII museum.  Also a 10 minute walk to a skate park and splash pad

Pleasant atay

Great location. The house sits in a quiet neighborhood, but is central to many of the places we stopped at. Fresh and clean inside, with some comfy beds.

Absolutely Fantastic!

I cannot say enough how perfect this house was! Everything was very clean and nice! It was the perfect location for a girls weekend. I will most definitely try to book one of their properties again!

Relaxing

Just the place we needed for a relaxing break. Near the Rock N wool Winery which was a fun visit. Hit some antique stores. Property was clean, cozy and had all the amenities.

Perfect retreat

We were looking for a cozy place to spend the Holiday break, not too far from ski slopes... and the Purple Door was perfect for us. Eventhough this is an old house, it is charming, clean and equipped with everything needed to spend a nice long relaxing weekend. WIll have to come back to visit Portage!

Perfect stay

This place was perfect for my needs. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare my meals. I slept comfortably in the supportive, yet cozy, bed. The WiFi worked flawlessly and the speed was more than enough to be able to work remotely. The neighborhood was quiet & felt safe & was a nice area for a long walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Stay - Don’t Hesitate to Book!

Great communication with the hosts, easy check-in process.. The property itself was perfect for what we needed. Cute lower level, well decorated; nice touches and amenities. The location is close to downtown Portage area and about 20-min from WI Dells. I would stay again when I’m in the area. Don’t hesitate to book.

Purple Door Retreat was "PERFECT"

We so enjoyed our stay at the purple retreat. The place was very clean and decorated so nice and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were so comfortable and sheets were so soft we slept wonderful. I would recommend this wonderful home to anyone staying in the area or visiting the Baraboo/Dells area.

Long weekend

We were looking for a comfortable place to settle while spending a long weekend at the Dells. This place is very clean, comfortable and has every detail covered. I would highly recommend it. For those curious, there were people in the unit above us and we had no problem with noise.

Perfect Portage Property!

This charming home was INCREDIBLY clean and tidy. It was well stocked with everything we needed and was the perfect home base for our sisters weekend. Beds were comfy, shower was strong. Overall well stocked kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms!

One of the best in the area!

This place was great! We stayed here for two nights as we explored around Wisconsin Dells and around the area. We reached out to the owner and she quickly responded. Would highly recommend this rental!!

MET BASIC NEEDS

Place was clean and neighbor hood was safe and quiet. The sound from the place above was very loud and lasted all night(running, stomping, jumping). Thankfully they checked out and we got some sleep the next night. Needs more Livingroom seating. The chair is definitely for looks only. Don't forget to sign out of your disney, netflix accounts etc.., that was a nightmare to get my account passwords changed because I forgot to sign out when we left and the next folks were using all of my accounts. overall it met all our needs and bed were very comfortable. i would suggest the owner communicate with vacationers through the VRBO site or via phone. But she did great in helping gain access to our duplex.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The Purple Door Retreat is located close to all the things you want to do but is far enough away that you can come home and relax. We are located 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells, 5 minutes from Cascade Ski Hill and 20 minutes from Devils Lake State Park. There is an Amish community 20 minute north of Portage. We are also close to multiple wineries, distilleries and fantastic restaurants.
