Welcome to Change of Sea-nery! Conveniently located less than one mile to the beach and its charming downtown, this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom townhouse is ideally located in the Villas of Bethany West community, where you’ll be steps away from the community’s outdoor swimming pool, basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts, playground, and complimentary beach trolley stop.

The townhouse is beautifully appointed and features a fully stocked kitchen opening into a living room with a wood burning fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sectional in the living area. A large rear deck with a propane grill, an outside shower, and pond views makes this townhouse perfect for relaxation or entertainment.

The upstairs master ensuite bedroom and its king-sized bed as well as the guest bedroom/bath offer a sanctuary to recharge after a day in the sun. Restaurants and retail are within walking distance, as is the community pier, which allows you to access to the Salt Pond and Bethany Loop Canal for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, crabbing, or fishing. You’ll also benefit from having an in-town parking permit to make getting to the beach and around town a breeze!

Everything was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable and our hosts were so gracious and communicative. It's a lovely property. Our family enjoyed our long-weekend visit and we hope to rent again.

The unit was very clean and recently repainted. We were unable to partake of many of the benefits due to inclement weather, and the late date of our reservations. The only criticism I would have had, absent the weather, would be the amount of standing water all around the community. The property is very low and tends to hold water. A person like myself who is allergic to mosquito bites would have a difficult time enjoying all the outdoor amenities.

We enjoyed our stay—the house was as described, and in great condition, very clean. Awesome location, near the community pool and trolley stop, and walkable to restaurants as well as to the beach. Although after walking to the beach the first day, we decided to make use of the residential parking pass and not have to schlep the ( provided) chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Besides the location, the standouts to me were the water pressure in the shower, all the convenient hooks, labeling the lights and the comfy sectional in the living room. The master bedroom does get warm with the afternoon sun, so be sure to draw the drapes before leaving for the day—and turn on the ceiling fan. Great stay!

Great little community! Quiet, nice facilities, and pretty close to the beach. The parking pass and trolley give you real easy options to get there if you don't want to walk. The place itself was really nice, felt very clean, and comes with tons of beach gear which was great. We like to cook and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We loved having the puzzles and games when the weather got really crappy due to the hurricane down south. The outdoor shower was nice to have but we only could get cold water so it was quite chilly. Not sure if it was supposed to have hot water or not. The upstairs was very hot when we got there the first day even though the air was on. We closed the blinds and curtains to block the sun and it was much better after that. I would recommend keeping them closed when you are there to keep the upstairs comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at David’s lovely townhome in Bethany. Everything from early communications to book to check in/out was seamless. David prepared us by providing so much good information and he was very responsive throughout our stay. The location of this property is excellent! We were able to walk to several restaurants and the Nature Center. The home is set against nature and our kids enjoyed seeing deer and birds every day. We had a great time and would absolutely stay here again.

Great Location

The unit was clean and had new carpets and renovated bathrooms. Very organized, plenty of supplies. Communication with the host was terrific. The location couldn’t be better, just a short walk to the beach and close to restaurants. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Weekend at the beach

This town home is well maintained and very comfortable. It's very near all the attractions but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Would highly recommend.

Great location

There was a very nice note and bottle of wine to welcome us which I thought was a very nice touch. It was very close to the beach and within the complex it was right next to the pool and playground which was great for the kids. David was very quick to communicate with me when I had a question. He had a lot of information already outlined, things labeled in the house, and directions for things in the house very clear in the welcome book which I appreciate. If we come back to Bethany Beach again would definitely stay here again.

Great location, wonderful property

This location is great for families. It's walkable (for older kids) to the beach and the trolley stop is right near the parking lot. Access to the pool is nice too. The townhome is clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again!

Great townhome in VBW

This was our third time staying in 743B Treetop Lane. Very easy check-in as the owner provided a keyless entry code. The unit was very clean and functional. Close to the (awesome) pool as well as the street to walk to restaurants, the beach and other activities. Definitely nobody’s fault but the mosquitoes were out of control. Otherwise a fabulous week in BB and VBW.

Relaxing, cozy beach getaway

We loved the coastal beach vibe throughout the home. Furnishings were comfortable and the home was clean. The host provided a lot of good info about how the home operates (TV, light switches, etc.). The communication was great with the host. The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything I needed to enjoy a few meals at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return next year.

Perfect Space for a family of four

Myself, my husband, and our two children stayed for a week at this sweet little spot in Bethany. The owner communicated beautifully and even reached out to support when I missed a step in the lease signing process. The unit is located in the middle of a quiet stretch of four homes and closest in the neighborhood to the pool/courts. Situated to the nature preserve we heard frogs and saw deer and majestic birds as we came and went daily. The parking pass was a major bonus and made our beach days stress free! The owners left a bottle of wine for us and the property was clean and ready as expected. My kids loved their bunk room and slept very comfortably. The house had a few items back stocked such as toilet paper and dishwasher pods. While we brought our own, it was a thoughtful touch. The outdoor shower was very clean and easy to access. It was a handy feature since we went to the beach almost everyday. This was a top beach week for us in part because of this lovely space.

Everything. . . . And more

This was a well deserved retreat for my husband and me. Everything is as described and pictures are accurate. A bonus is the location. This property is tucked into the perfect corner of BWV properties. Quiet and relaxing. We had perfect weather and enjoyed everything Bethany had to offer. Thanks again to the host for providing a comfy, relaxing place for the week.

Convenient Bethany beach

Comfortable and easy and great fit for Memorial Day weekend with friends in Bethany beach. Could walk to the main beach boardwalk down a main road. Property had a grill perfect for burgers and vegetables, fully stocked with kitchen supplies and outdoor patio seating. Online listing could have been more clear that towels and linens were not included, but we were able to call the provided linen/towel rental company on a Saturday and pick up everything we needed in 15 minutes same day. 2 clean full bathrooms with good showers. Property is across the road from convenient casual foods options. Wish the second bedroom had a full bed or even two twin beds instead of bunk beds, but overall a very good stay.

Well Appointed Property

Clean, cozy property located in a wooded enclave. Easy access by bike or trolley (in season) to Bethany. Also easy access to amenities such as groceries and a couple of restaurants. Very well appointed kitchen with above average quality items much appreciated. Terrific communication from owners who clearly love and care for the home.

Fun Oct weekend getaway

Conveniently located - short walk to restaurants & stores and only a few minutes drive straight to the beach & boardwalk! Townhome was clean, kitchen well supplied, & hosts made us feel at home with great communication, a welcome bottle of delicious wine, as well as being generous and accommodating with check-in and out times since staying off season. There was some water in low lying areas since we stayed directly after a tropical storm but it did not dampen our lovely too short stay. Would love to spend a week here esp if in season to make use of the pool and kayaks In addition, having a parking pass would be a wonderful plus during the busy summer months.

We know that you have lots of rental options and we thank you for choosing our home for your stay this season in Bethany Beach. We are excited to host you and your group, and we encourage you to make yourselves at home during your stay!

Our family recently purchased 743B after many years of saving (and waiting) for a property in the VBW to become available. I (David) have a special place in my heart for the VBW as it was the spot where my family vacationed yearly when I was young. That first week in August for us (rain or shine) was always guaranteed to include fun at the beach, in the pool, at the basketball or tennis courts, playing board games, fishing, and numerous trips downtown, where we enjoyed mini golf, searching for souvenirs, and eating lots of ice cream.

Now that Lauren and I are parents, we look forward to being able to share those experiences and create new memories with our kids. We hope that you can do the same, whether you are with family, friends, or friends who are like (or maybe even better than) family. May your time here be filled with relaxation, laughter, solitude, or whatever you need to unwind and re-charge.
