Please note that we have a single duct HVAC system. The building is required by law to turn on/off heat and air at specific times. With this, we understand that it can be uncomfortable in the transition dates and we work to accommodate our guests with fans or indoor heaters.

A: You do not need a car, but there are multiple garages within a block of the home if you drive. They are typically $20-40 / night. We recommend apps like SpotAngels or SpotHero to find free or cheap parking. There are SpotHero spots near the building for your convenience, available on a first come, first serve basis.

A: Nope! we provide all these things. We also provide you with a starter pack of toilet papers.

A: Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. Early check ins can be difficult if there are guests who checked out same day. We ask for an early check-in, or a late-check out fee, if you request either.

A: Yes, and we take pride in providing a clean home for guests.

A: We honestly have no idea. With fees included, it only shows the guest how much they pay. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, and it actually uses some crazy algorithm to adjust it automatically, so I don`t actually control this.

𝐐: 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞?
A: Very. Some guests say they`re the best they`ve ever slept on!

A: If you do not have flights that coincide with our check-in and checkout times, you may use RadicalStorage or Bounce to store your bags for your optimal time :)

No Agency Relationship. Nothing herein contained shall be deemed to authorize or empower either party to act as agent for the other party to this Agreement, or to conduct business in the name, or for the account, of the other party to this Agreement.

You have full access to the condo and the gym. Please respect the long-term tenants in the building and do not disclose that you are staying in an Airbnb for your safety+security.

Gold Coast / Streeterville are neighborhoods in the Near North Side community area of Chicago, north of the Chicago River. It is bounded by the river on the south, the Magnificent Mile portion of Michigan Avenue to the west, and Lake Michigan to the east. The City of Chicago only recognizes a small portion of this region as Streeterville. Thus, it can be described as the Magnificent Mile plus all land east of it.

Streeterville includes some of Chicago`s tallest skyscrapers, such as the John Hancock Center, and upscale stores, hotels, and restaurants. The east side of Streeterville is Navy Pier, the most visited attraction in Chicago, and the John Hancock Observatory, the eighth-most visited attraction in Chicago.

The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is on the Chicago campus and is adjacent to several closely affiliated hospitals, including Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children`s Hospital of Chicago, the Prentice Women`s Hospital, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. The Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law is at Chicago Avenue and Lake Shore Drive, adjacent to Lake Shore Park and Lake Michigan. In the western end of the park is the Museum of Contemporary Art. The downtown campus of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business has a Chicago River setting to the south.

Gold Coast / Streeterville is accessible via Lake Shore Drive with multiple direct exits in both directions.

In addition, the Chicago `L` has stops at Chicago and Grand stations on the Red Line, which runs along State Street immediately to the west of the neighborhood. From the Kennedy Expressway the Ohio Street exit feeds into Streeterville. Numerous Chicago Transit Authority bus routes run within the neighborhood, notably along Michigan Avenue, Grand Avenue, and Chicago Avenue. During warm-weather months, water taxis and sightseeing boats ply the Chicago River along the south edge of the neighborhood and Navy Pier handles similar Lake Michigan water traffic.

There is a NOISE MONITORING system within the home to track decibel noise level. Please respect our neighbors and do not get too loud outside quiet hours :)

All guest names and ages must be registered before you are allowed to check in.

Guest Verification
As part of our vetting process, we may ask guests to confirm a few details — such as their names, ages, where they’re traveling from, or their travel plans — before accepting a booking. In some cases, we may also request a valid government-issued ID for verification purposes. This helps us ensure that all stays are safe, transparent, and in line with our house policies.

Unresponsive Guest
In some cases, if a guest does not respond within a reasonable period, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
For same-day bookings, this timeframe is up to 2 hours or less. For all other bookings, this timeframe is up to 8 hours. This ensures that we can provide the best experience and availability for all our guests.

Online Check-In & Rental Agreement Required
Before receiving check-in instructions, all primary guests must complete our online check-in form and review/sign our rental agreement. This helps verify guest details and ensures a smooth, secure arrival.

EXTRA GUEST CHARGE
The base price covers 4 guests. For more than 4 guests, there is an extra guest fee of $10 per guest for the full number of nights.
Example: 1 extra guest for a 5-night stay = $10 × 5 nights = $50.

Refundable Security Deposit: A $300 refundable security deposit is required and will be `held` or `authorized` (not `charged`) by Chicago Hospitality Club on your card. Any property damage or extra charges may be deducted from the deposit. VRBO collects platform payments/charges separately, while Chicago Hospitality Club handles the deposit, so seeing both on your statement is normal. The deposit is automatically released 3-7 days after checkout.

Keys & AirTags:
For transparency, some building keys or fobs may have an AirTag attached for loss prevention. The AirTag is only used to locate the key if it is lost and is never used to track guests or their movements. Guests are not required to carry the key at all times, but we recommend keeping the AirTag attached to help avoid replacement charges if the key is misplaced.

Easter Weekend 2025

We really enjoyed this property - the location was excellent, close to Michigan Ave. shops, restaurants, sights but the street itself was quiet and not crowded at all which made for easy ubers! We walked everywhere and loved it! The unit itself was very spacious and worked well for our family - plenty of sleeping space with king beds in both bedrooms, bonus trundle daybed in the living room and two full bathrooms definitely a plus :) The hosts were great communicating with us before and during our trip - we loved Chicago and would definitely come back to this property!

Great location to see the best of Chicago!

We were very happy with our stay at The Guild. The communication in advance and the check-in process was very easy with instructions sent via email. This is an older apartment building but it has central air which was essential for a late July stay. The living room is spacious, there is a work desk if needed; the kitchen/dining room setup is well appointed with a Keurig and a full supply of K-cups (thank you!); and the bedrooms are good sized with very comfortable beds. The location could not have been better, within a few minutes of the Magnificent Mile and the Hancock Tower with the Navy Pier only a 20 minute walk away. We highly recommend the property.

Good place to stay

This is a nice place to stay. Conveniently located within the walking distance from multiple restaurants, shops and attractions. Upon welcome, the host provided a pitcher with cold water in the fridge, a generous amount of coffee pods to choose from, coffee mate creamers, tea bags. They also offered a generous amount of hand soap, shampoo, body wash and conditioner. In the kitchen they had plenty of dish soap pods and trash bags, which is rare in most VRBOs I’ve been to. Only one frying pan though and no tapperwear - considering there is a kitchen for cooking, it was slightly inconvenient. The place is generally quiet but you can hear squeaky floors from the neighbors upstairs, sirens and dogs barking outside. There is a nice little cafe Cafecito on the ground floor where you can have breakfast outside. The Ohio street beach is 10 mins walking distance. I found the beds comfortable, the mattresses were firm, no dents (as mentioned by one of the reviewers). The beds could benefit from more natural bed linens but it’s my personal preference. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there. I recommend this place.

Great location. Spacious, well equipped space. Loved the Latin sandwich shop downstairs at street level (with a bar). Neighborhood seems very safe and walkable. A charming older building with the character that goes with that description.

Location, location, location! Great home away from home property. Everything you need to NOT be in a dang hotel!!!! Made it feel like we lived in the Gold Coast!! Loved it!

Long Chicago Weekend

The condo was beautiful and clean. The space was amazing and surprisingly spacious for a Chicago condo. This unit has everything you need for a wonderful stay in Chicago.

Good location/Weird Vibe/Poor Mattress

All in all I am satisfied with my stay. I will warn others, the fact that you have to enter and exit through the service entrance feels sketchy. The mattress in the bedroom with the ensuite had a huge divot in it and made it difficult to sleep without being in a U shape. The location was good. VRBO will hold your money for some sort of insurance. I wasn’t able to get that back into my account until two weeks after my stay (I also had to pay it a month prior). If you are paying with a credit card, expect to have to pay the interest out of pocket.

Great location

This apartment is in a great location. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and a few minute walk to the John Hancock building. The apartment was clean and well appointed and looks exactly as the photos shown. The only reason I took away a star in the accuracy category is, it lists a queen sleeper sofa, however what they have is a couch that simply folds down- not a queen mattress hidden in a sofa. I spoke to the owners and suggested they change the description to reflect this. The building is a lovely older building with a cafe' on the bottom floor and a beautiful rooftop terrace.
