I wish the checkout time would be later. With all the morning chores to complete before checkout i think a later checkout then 10 would be preferred. Once the recycling, dishes, laundry, bedding, and then showering and packing up to go home another hour or so would have been nice. The loacation is perfect for all the hikes we had planned. We did break a rule of leaving porch lights on to find at night as reception was sometimes spotty and it wasnt always easy to find in the dark. Loved that the ice trays were full, plenty of kitchen items, the outside firepit area im sure is wonderful in warmer temps, heat worked great, shower was wonderful loved the heat fan, comfy beds and furniture. The notebook and journals were a definite most helpful resource. My only thing that i would change to enhance the stay would either be ditch the housework or entend the checkout time. Oh and the soap was the bomb! Id even that stuff online AMAZING! Thanks for offering a great place to stay for our 1st trip to WV.

Everything about this stay was great. Nice and quiet, but not too far from hiking, restaurants, golf, etc. If you want to explore the New River Gorge area, you would be hard pressed to find something better. House was perfect for two people. We would definitely stay here again.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay! Everything was wonderful and this property has the most attention to detail I’ve seen in a vacation rental. From the handmade products to the full stock of kitchen utensils, our weekend staying (mostly) in was relaxing and fun! The location is perfect and close to such nice hiking and food/shopping. Plenty of parking available with cozy indoor and outdoor furniture. We can tell how much effort is put in to make guests have an amazing vacation.

The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs. The location was perfect for exploring the new river gorge.The outdoor firepit was perfect for mountain pies. Both bedrooms were welcoming with a ceiling fan and regular fan. We had friendly dogs visit us on occasion. My only complaint would be the several (4 to 5) pesky flies in the house.Otherwise everything about the stout house met our needs.

Comfortable and Clean home near Fayetteville downtown

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for a whole week while we explored he NRG region and nearby WV State Parks and attractions. This is the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Questions were responded to very quickly and check in/out was a breeze.

Perfect getaway

This tiny home was a perfect spot to recharge after days spent hiking! Clean, equipped with the essentials, and hosts were very good at communicating. Highly recommend!!

We had a fantastic stay at Stout Grove. The host was very responsive. The house was so clean and welcoming and the outdoor area was a great place to relax. Also, the location was perfect for our visit to New River Gorge. The town of Fayetteville was close and had great restaurants and shopping. We would definitely return to this house if we are ever visiting the area again.

NRG Family Trip

This property was great! Very clean and had everything we needed. We liked the fire pit and covered porch for when it rained. The beds were very comfortable too! I would highly recommend this location.

Beautiful Place

Perfect property. Close to trailheads, yet far enough away to give you privacy. Beautiful porch to sit and watch nature's show! Lovely and clean inside and out. Great owners who truly make sure you have everything you need. We will be back for a 4th visit for sure!

Awesome place to stay

We had a great time staying at the Stout Grove rental. It was clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place, and we would definitely stay here again.Close to downtown Fayetteville, and close to plenty of hiking trails.

Our Bucket List Trip to New River Gorge

Sitting on the porch in the morning and evening was very enjoyable. We loved seeing the deer and listening to the birds. One evening we used the gas grill to cook hamburgers. The place was modern and spotless. It was exactly what we hoped it would be.

Exceeded expectations!!

We highly recommend! Convenient driving distance to the main hikes and great restaurants. The house was SO clean and had everything we needed. Super relaxing. We will stay here again if we visit NRG again!

Quiet, clean, private , country setting.

“Out in the country” on small, somewhat challenging roads, yet convenient- only 15 minutes to the New River Gorge Bridge and less than 10 to some popular hiking trailheads. Very clean newer home with everything we needed. Quiet. Good communication with host. Nice welcome manual with tips on restaurants and activities.

Great Stay

We had a great time at this cabin. We explored all of the New River Gorge and enjoyed downtown Fayetteville. The condo was very clean and well appointed and it worked perfect for the two of us. If we come back to the area we will stay here again for sure.

Great place to stay near New River Gorge NP

Two of us stayed in this wonderful place for 3 nights. It is a great location central to many sights and trails in the National Park. The house is very well designed and furnished. We liked the well equipped kitchen. We were sorry that the weather didn’t allow us the chance to use the fire pit or sit on the porch. The hosts were amazingly gracious helping us rebook after we had to cancel last year.

Cozy and Convenient

We enjoyed our visit to the area for a weekend of hiking and enjoying this beautiful part of the country. The house was very conveniently located to many hiking trails and outdoor adventure opportunities. It was very clean and cozy and comfortable for a weekend get-away. We enjoyed the covered patio for morning coffee and evening glass of wine.
