We are repeat clients! Love the history of the house, the art work, plenty of rooms and gathering spaces. Huge kitchen and table for all of us, the new second fridge and hslf bath are great additions since we were last there. Owners are great and responsive!

This house has been wonderful for our big family gatherings. There are plenty of nooks and crannies so people can have away space and come together for meal preparation and dining. The kitchen IS truly well stocked with just about every appliance one could need. The grounds are well maintained and can be enjoyed. Sunsets on the porch while eating at the massive farm table were always a highlight. Rob is is responsive and generous host. We hope to vacation at the house for many years to come. Wonderful!!

I can not put into words how amazing this property is. Too to bottom, fully stocked with anything you need. The host is amazing and tended to every need. The cleanliness, and attention to detail are superb. Hands down the best VRBO I have stayed in. We will be back. Thank you !!!!

A wonderful spot for a large gathering:Well appointed, beautiful Victorian in a gorgeous spot. Fantastic, spacious kitchen. Wrap around porch is great at all times of day with multiple seating areas, and is a great spot for gorgeous el fresco dinners.Not your typical rental - a very special place!

The bedrooms were charming and super clean. The host was very communicative and responded quickly to my questions. The kitchen was unbelievably well equipped. We cooked every meal and had a lot of fun in the kitchen. One night we ate inside and one night outside—both tables are huge and seat plenty of people. Lots of outdoor games including badminton and corn hole and ping pong on the outside table. The kids were busy and had so much fun. I whole heartedly recommend this lovely house for a large group of all ages!!!

This huge rambling shabby chic maximalist home suited our extended family well! Beds were all very comfortable, and the baths and kitchen were stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved gathering on the huge wraparound porch!We spent four nights here during the hottest week of 2026. There is no central A/C, but Rob was very responsive and made sure the bedrooms had fans and/or portable A/C units. I would not recommend this property for young children or people with mobility issues, as there are some hazards that come with an elderly home, but older kids would love all the outdoor and indoor toys provided.

Our book group stayed here for an extended weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone had their own room, there were plenty of bathrooms, and the kitchen was what dreams are made of! We had three coffee makers going each morning as we prepped breakfast without getting in each others way. The porch was our happy place...coffee, books and a circuit workout in the morning, drinks and puzzling in the afternoon, and dinner and games in the evening were all perfect outside. The dark sky made meteor shower viewing spectacular. We walked the mile to Sams Point for hikes, which was great because we didn't have to pay the parking fee. We were there in August and even without air conditioning, the fans in the rooms were enough to sleep in comfort. Everything about the property exceeded expectations; would highly recommend to any large groups as a space to come together without feeling cramped. Would love to go back!

Owner is always so nice and very responsive! The house is huge, has great group spaces, a well stocked kitchen with apple space for us to be making multiple dishes at the same time. Love the close proximity to Sam's point and Ellenville in case you want to eat out. Really interesting, historic house to stay in!

This property is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for get together in the area. We went hiking, rock climbing, and to the tuxedo park Renaissance Faire. The house was the perfect place to stay at the end of some long days and had several spaces for various groups to convene or for the whole house to gather. Genuinely one of the best vacations I've ever taken.

A great place for a family reunion

Quiet, warm, brilliantly put together. The layout of the spaces can't be beat, the bedrooms are cozy, the house is full of character, and Rob has been amazing from start to finish.

Amazing Stay for Service Trip!

Northeastern's annual Alternative Weekend trips had an amazing stay over Veteran's Day weekend! The group volunteered with the local Woodstock Animal Sanctuary. Students and staff raved about the house!

Family Vacation

This was a wonderful experience; the house is old and quirky, but we loved that about it!! The location is excellent for hiking and sightseeing -we visited both Woodstock and Storm King, and very drive-able. We are big foodie family, and the kitchen is perfect and well stocked with everything needed. We give it lots of stars!

Lovely house with a beautiful kitchen wonderful for hosting friends and family. Cooked several meals together in the extremely well-stocked kitchen and slept so well in very comfortable beds. Rob was incredibly responsive to all concerns and questions, couldn’t have asked for more!!!

The property had a rustic feel but was absolutely GORGEOUS! I used this property for my wedding stay to get ready and it was PERFECT for the aesthetic I was going for. Rob was an absolute gem, very sweet, kind and responsive. Thankful to have stumbled upon this hidden treasure. I definitely wouldn't mind coming here again!

Fantastic stay

We could not have a asked for a better location, home and host for our yoga immersion weekend. Rob was a fantastic, giving and attentive host. The house is beautiful and so well equipped to host groups. Highly recommend!

Family fun in Cragsmoor

We had a lovely visit. 14 of us ages 5-80+. The home accomodated us so well and the host was wonderful. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we've had. Great hikes lovely quiet area. We had a blast and will return.

Perfect for a large group

Gathered with friends to celebrate a bachelorette party. Really beautiful and charming home! Bedrooms all very cute and shared areas are spacious and well decorated. Definitely appreciated the fans in each room as there is no AC. Kitchen is AMAZING.

50th College Reunion

We had a great time reminiscing, playing games, making pies, and chatting in the kitchen for our 50th college anniversary. There were eight in our group and we had a blast despite the rain every day in this very cool house.
