Adorable Vintage 1950's Cottage

Enjoy the serenity of staying at our vintage lake cottage! You can take in the lake views, listen to the loons and admire the abundant wildlife! You will following the winding path from the cottage to the dock where you will have access to Sibley Lake for fishing and recreational activities. And be sure to visit the sandbar on the lake where many gather for a friendly game of volleyball or other water games or just enjoy launching your boat and relaxing while sipping on your favorite beverage! The cottage lakeshore is not a swimming area; however, the swimming near the sandbar is fabulous! Dock space for your boat is available upon request. After a day of sightseeing, shopping, or outdoor activities, enjoy a calming campfire. There are a lot of steps to and from waterfront.

The cottage is fully equipped with pots, pans, linens, towels, etc. A grill is also provided for your use. If you prefer to eat out there are many great restaurants and bars in Pequot Lakes, Nisswa, and Breezy Point. The cottage is one bedroom with queen bed. Also included is a pull out sofa for 2 in living room. A washer and dryer are also in the cottage. There is water and hook up for one camper available near the cottage as well for an additional charge.

For your convenience, a grocery store/gas station/liquor store is located within 1 mile from the cottage.

There are many local activities including but not limited to: shopping, Lakes Jam Music Festival, parades and festivals, Paul Bunyan Recreational Trail, BIR national races, ATV trails, snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, and so much more!

There is no smoking or pets allowed in the cottage.
Based on availability, a 21' pontoon can also be rented at an additional charge.

Weekend Getaway

Cozy Cottage

The cottage is very cozy and adorably decorated. It is extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. The setting overlooking the lake is lovely. It is very conveniently located near grocery stores, village of Pequot Lakes and Paul Bunyan Recreational Trail.

Relaxation

The cabin was as described by Joan. Very clean cabin and quiet. Perfect for rest and relaxation. We enjoyed the firepit! Plenty to do in Pequot Lakes and nearby Nissawa.

Worry free, peaceful cabin

Fabulous hosts! The cabin is super cute and more spacious than expected, the amenities were as advertised, and the hosts were welcoming and excellent communicators. Highly recommend!

Great getaway

The cottage was on a quiet dead end road in Pequot Lakes. Nicely maintained, and all the things you might need were provided. We had a fire outside each night.

Cute very clean cabin!

This 1950s cabin is very well kept, and very clean!! The hosts were amazing and like I said everything was immaculate! Even the fire pit, which they had stacked very nice, and was ready for a fire. So quiet and serene. We were up for a graduation party, and it was a nice getaway and super close to friends of ours. Would love to stay here again!

Peaceful and Laid Back

Fantastic little cottage. Great Hosts!!!! Fold out sofa was not comfortable, but none are. Single cot worked better. Camp fire at night and listening to the loons talk to each other, with the Big Dipper overhead, was memory making.

The Perfect Cottage for 2!

We absolutely loved this cottage! We were celebrating our anniversary with a hiking getaway and this was the perfect spot to begin and end our day. We especially loved sitting outside and listening to the birds. I’m pretty sure we’ll plan on staying for a week next time and set aside an entire day just to relax and enjoy the outdoor space. All of the furniture is very comfortable and the appliances all work perfectly. I can’t think of a single thing I would change other than that I wish we could come more often!

Great Up North Cottage

My wife, our 3 year old daughter and myself had a great weekend at Joan and Tom’s cottage. Tucked back, quite and cozy, yet still very close to all Pequot Lakes has to offer. The kitchen had everything we needed. The setting is so relaxing and peaceful. Wonderful memories were made. We really enjoyed taking the pontoon out for sunset cruises around beautiful Sibley Lake, star gazing and enjoying fires at night. Pequot Lakes has always been a special place for our family. We can’t thank the lovely hosts enough. We’ll be back.

A Minnesota Retreat

My husband and I are on a two-month road trip which we started by heading out of south Arizona to this amazing little vintage cottage for three whole weeks. If you enjoy cozy and vintage charm, this is your place to stay. Nestled in a quiet area on the owners’ property, it was pleasant, peaceful, clean and cozy. Joan and Tom are the ultimate hosts and have many amenities ready for your stay. We cooked in the roomy and well equipped kitchen, enjoyed the patio under the giant fir trees and grilled dinner outside several times. We were close to grocery and dining as well as enjoying the Pequot Lakes annual Bean Hole Festival held in town. Don’t miss this one…it’s a true gem. Long weekend getaway

The vintage cottage is clean and very comfortable. The vintage touches added to the charm. We loved the outdoor firepit. The weather cooperated and we were able to spend 2 nights enjoying sitting by the fire. One whole afternoon was spent just sitting by the lake. It was so peaceful and quiet. There are very good options for food close by in both Pequot and Nisswa. Nisswa has a really nice area with local shops, a brewery and ale house.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin! I am a neat freak so means alot. The location is perfect! Close to anything you need. My only suggestion is a better mattress. We have bad backs so a little sore. Would totally go back if they would have us!😄

The cottage is very clean, decorated 50's style. The patio w fire pit was very relaxing. & quiet. The only down side is that you cannot see the lake from the cabin. Loved the tall pines. Hosts are super .

Nice retreat with generous hosts

Very cozy cottage on a very quiet road. Great opportunity to sit outside on the paver patio and watch all of nature's activity! Indoors, all of what you will need lies waiting! Groceries are nearby as are excellent shops and craft brews when you need a break!!

Vintage Cottage was Perfect

The cottage was clean, immaculate and the setting was just right. The dock was easily accessible so we launched at the local Public Water Access and docked the boat the whole weekend. Great for getting out on short little bits of fishing. The owners were very accommodating and communicated just the right amount. The cottage is quiet but still in a location where access to the Brainerd Lakes/Nisswa area was super simple.

We moved to this area a few years ago. Our only regret is we didn't move here sooner! Sibley Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen. Shh - it's a secret - but there's some really good fishing on the lake too! And we love hanging out at the sandbar on the lake.
In addition, we are located near some of the best fine dining in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Fun abounds everywhere and includes riding or hiking the trails, shopping, dining, fishing, kayaking, etc. Come, relax and enjoy our cottage! We look forward to hosting you! Joan & Tom

I live adjacent to the cottage to assist with any needs you may have; however, there is a privacy fence between the properties that allows the privacy you desire. Guests are welcome to stroll our property to the calming, forestry boardwalk/steps which wind down to beautiful Sibley Lake with canoe/kayak access to Mayo Lake. In addition, there is a wooded hiking trail to the lake! There is also a private fire pit next to the cottage, you can enjoy the fire pit near the water as well! Come, relax, and enjoy!
