Charming A-frame retreat in a beautiful, natural, and private setting

Charming and cozy getaway on 14 private acres in the Pennsylvania Wilds with all the comforts of home. 3 large bedrooms and 2.5 modern baths, a large family room with the most comfortable couch in the world, a dining area with views of a private pond and forested mountains, and a wraparound deck. Idyllic setting with woodlands and a private pond stocked with largemouth bass, excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, and stunning night skies, plus modern amenities. Fully stocked modern kitchen, large capacity washer and dryer, internet with WiFi, satellite TV, ecologically sensitive heat and a/c. The house has a Ring doorbell in case you have any trouble getting in and have no cell reception—just ring the doorbell and we can help! The A-frame is close to Cherry Springs, Sinnemahoning, Ole Bull, Prouty Place, and Lyman Run State Parks and Susquehannock State Forest. It is also near ATV and snowmobile trails, and convenient to the UPMC Cole Hospital and the amenities of Coudersport.

Everything was as expected. I had no wants that were not met. We enjoyed the deck, kitchen,and bedrooms. All was as good as could have been desired.

We selected the A-Frame at Cherry Springs for our recent stargazing trip, based on the pictures of the property and its location - only 8 miles from Cherry Springs State Park. Communications with the host were excellent; Noelle responded to my text messages within minutes! Check-in and check-out were both simple processes. I set my telescope up on the roomy deck and enjoyed multiple nights of spectacular skies! What's not obvious in the pictures is that the property is right next to PA-44... everyone drives with their brights on and the bright lights are an annoyance. The house was clean and is kept in excellent condition. We're a retired couple, both with a pair of knee replacements; we struggled with climbing up and down the steps between the main living area (with the big screen TV) and the kitchen. We visited Cherry Springs State Park, Austin Dam and the WW2 Museum in Eldred; I wasn't expecting much from Austin Dam and the WW2 Museum, but they were surprisingly good and very much worth the time. Be sure to feed the fishes in the pond; it's a zen thing. :) All in all, an excellent property in an excellent location!

The A Frame is a Relaxers Paradise! The house is gorgeous and absolutely spotless( thank you Janet and Noelle ), and the grounds are beautiful. Everything you need is provided, just come, kick back, respect the home and property and have a wonderful time

Beautiful property. Very private and lots of land with great view. Loved sitting out on the deck and enjoying the surroundings. It’s a great place for stargazing. Added bonus: The beds are really comfortable with high quality pillows.

Great option for Coudersport!

Great place to stay with a great view of the stars and a few restaurants close by. We were on Motorcycles, and it sure was fun getting there!

Our family loved our time at this house. It was spacious, beautiful, and a great location. Would highly recommend staying here as the amenities were top notch. We could not have picked a better place to stay in Cherry Springs.

This property was so wonderful that we didn't want to leave! It was impeccably clean. The beds and chairs were all comfortable. It was just me and my husband, but I could see how well it would accommodate more guests. Each bedroom is on a separate floor and offers enough space and privacy that would suit two couples or a family with children. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook. It was hands-down the best equipped kitchen we've ever had in a vacation rental. The grounds were wonderful. It was so pleasant to sit on the very spacious deck and look out at the lake below or take a walk around the lake. We went to the Cherry Springs area in order to see the stars and the milky way. We quickly discovered that you can see everything just as well from the deck as you can from the field at Cherry Springs State Park. My husband was able to get some amazing pictures of the night sky. We would return to this house without hesitation. Finally, the owners were so helpful and friendly! Love this place!

It was wonderful!!!! Felt like we lived there so comfortable and quiet so welcoming as soon as you entered the door. Host was very accommodating to our emails and request very pleasant felt like I knew her !!! Just a short distance from cherry springs state park, but honestly the stars from the deck were spectacular.!!!! Love Love Loved it here !!!!! Can feed the fish in the pond too they provide food..so fun !! I could keep going and going Great Place !!!!

Peaceful & Relaxing

This property was very comfortable and homey, and the amenities were as described. The view was fantastic and in a very peaceful setting. The location was perfect, very easy to get into town. I would highly recommend this property if youre looking to get away from the hustle and bustle!

Great place to stay.

This home is very cozy. The deck is a great place to sit, relax and look at the stars. The kitchen is well equipped. The owners are easy to communicate with and answered questions promptly. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. One thing, make sure you bring all the food/drinks you’ll need as this property isn’t close to many things. Sheetz, Dollar General, McDonalds, nearby.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was very clean, comfortable and well supplied. The hosts were great at communication, and made sure we had everything we needed! We definitely hope to come back in the future.

It was hard not to have an amazing time at this rental. Property and house was absolutely beautiful with so many extras. A nice getaway from it all. We definitely recommend this rental, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful house and property

The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our family of 4. The location was great being only 10 minutes from Coudersport while still feeling like we were in a nice rural area. We were comfortable and had a great time hanging out at the house not doing much and fishing at the pond. We might need to come back again!

Perfect stay!

Absolutely stunning home and property. Most well stocked, well appointed, and cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. Owners thought of absolutely everything! We loved lounging on the deck, watching the night sky from the hammocks, and enjoyed smores around the fire pit. A true gem!

I am losing count of the number of times we have stayed at this beautiful house! The ability to enjoy the beauty of this area in a house with any amenity you may need is incredible! The stars did not disappoint- and our views from the deck were superior to traveling to the park. The owners have thought of everything you may need! You will not be disappointed!! Wonderful vacation home

The home and location are beautiful! Very well kept and clean house. Beautiful views! This is a wonderful property to vacation at, it is exactly as listed. The owners are very helpful and quick to respond, friendly people :). We would love to stay there again. I have no complaints whatsoever. You'll love it!

We wanted a place to escape to enjoy solitude and communion with nature. We enjoy wildlife, and the property teems with all manner of wild visitors. We enjoy mountains and water, and love that the house is nestled in the midst of forest, with a private pond and a stream passing through it. We also love the incredible views of the night sky that are available by either a short and easy drive to Cherry Springs State Park, or by taking a glass of your favorite beverage onto the expansive balcony and looking up.
Finally, while we wanted to be in the midst of nature, it comforts us to know that all the trappings of civilization are just a few minutes’ drive away on paved and well-tended roads.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

A stay at the house is an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, whether it’s a hike in the woods, fishing in your private pond (or just feeding the fish), or watching the deer, turkeys, foxes, and maybe bears and elk that happen by looking for a bite to eat and a cool drink. It’s an opportunity to gaze at the night sky the way it appeared to our ancestors, before the modern world’s light pollution made most of the stars impossible to see in most places.

And at the end of the day, it’s an opportunity to take a hot shower and climb into a comfortable bed with high thread count all-cotton sheets.
It’s the best of nature coupled with the comforts of a modern, updated home.
