This property was great for our group of 14! It was helpful that there were pull-out beds (couches) to accommodate all of our sleeping needs! We especially appreciated being close to Rocky Mountain National Park. The host was great about reaching out to us when the power went out before our arrival. Thanks for the accommodations!

The location was great for us as we spent two days in RMNP and two days at the lake. The house was very warm when we arrived as there is no air conditioning. An upgrade of the living room couches would be a good improvement as they were quite uncomfortable. There was a window in the master bedroom that was off track so we couldn’t open it. The birds living in the walls did wake us up at night in the master bedroom. We did enjoy our stay but overall the house could use some upgrades to compare with other VRBOs we have stayed at.

Four families and our pets gathered to enjoy the holiday weekend. This home was the perfect place, we had everything we needed, many games and Jay was amazing to work with!

Very nice place with pretty views

I would definitely book this house again. It was clean and had a well equipped kitchen. I loved the open concept of the kitchen and main room. There was also pretty views of the mountains. Jay was an amazing host. He gave very detailed instructions and was very accommodating by making sure we had all info we needed. Thank you!

We had a great trip, our dog got loose a few times and the neighbors were so friendly and helped us find him. There was a few places that weren’t very clean however everything else went very well.

Family Vacay

This property was perfect for our three generational group of 11! The room with bunk beds, lounge space, and sliding doors was ideal for our 4 teens. Large kitchen table great for meals and card/board games. Ample couches for lounging. Laundry on site was key for drying swimming attire. Front porch offered amazing lake sunset views and wildlife viewing. Centrally located to main town Grand Lake, RMNP, and marina rental. Jay was super communicative throughout rental process. Would definitely book again!

Wish we’d stayed longer!

We went with a group of three families and all had an excellent time at Shadow View Lodge. Jay was very communicative and made the booking, check-in and check-out process seamless. There was plenty of room for our 6 adults and 8 kids to sleep, dine and lounge. We especially appreciated the sturdy set of double bunk beds! Bunk beds are frequently cheap, wobbly and verging on unsafe at short term rentals, but not here. The house was also very well stocked with everything we needed. Location was great. We loved the easy access to Shadow Mountain Lake for fishing and enjoyed exploring the property. The only downside with the location was being right on Highway 34 and the noise at night, but that also meant we were right by the lake, so can’t complain too much. We had a great time and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Awesome location!

This place was easy to find, easy entry, spacious, great backyard for games, walking distance to marina, 10 min drive to the town of grand lake. The host was very responsive and happy to help with all questions/concerns. Would absolutely stay here again!

Family Gathering for Local Wedding

The house was in a great location to walk across the street Pine Beach or access hiking trails at the dam. It was perfect for our group which included a baby and two dogs. It was well stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were quite comfortable. Loved the front porch with the lake view.

Grand Lake getaway

Great location. Could walk down the driveway, cross the road, and have a hiking trail by the lake along with picnic tables. Obviously, very close to Grand Lake and RMNP. I would update the furniture (livingroom) & change cleaning people.

Great location/comfortable vacation home

Property was roomy and well provisioned. Location was perfect for our west side Rocky Mountain National Park group hiking trip! Floors were not very clean, but otherwise a very nice property with lake view and great kitchen and dining area.

Great place

My family and I loved staying at this place. The kids really enjoyed staying in such a large room with bunk beds. The location meant on three days of our trip, we got to see moose heading to the lake, including a mother with two calves. We would definite stay there again.

This is the perfect mountain escape with lots of summer and winter outdoor activities from skiing to boating. Enjoy some hiking or take a leisure boat ride into town for a bite to eat. There are endless trails to explore on foot, horseback, atv or snowmobile. Enjoy the sulfur springs after a day of skiing or ice fishing. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

This property is unique in its location. It is located near a marina making renting a boat easy or if you have your own boat you can lunch it just across the street. Shadow Mountain Lake is connected to Grand Lake and has a public dock which makes going into town only a boat ride away or a few min drive. You can walk to Pine Beach from the house to enjoy the water. There are endless hiking and snowmobiling trails near by. Sulfur Hot Springs and Ski Grandy Ranch are only a 20mins away. The location is great to enjoy all kinds of different activities or the peace and quiet of the mountains.
