Sip coffee on the back porch while listening to the creek or curl up on the couch and watch the flameless fireplace crackle. Take a soak in our newly refinished 106 year old bathtub with creek views from the second floor window. Explore our property and see what kind of beauty North Alabama holds! Worried about connectivity? We have Fiber Internet that is blazing fast along with a Roku TV so you can keep up with all your favorite shows via Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video!

We have a fully stocked kitchen complete with pots/pans/utensils so whether you want to whip up a meal or just toss a frozen pizza in the oven we have you covered. Also we have an outdoor grilling area complete with Large Big Green Egg... come throw some steaks or chicken on the grill!

Master bedroom has a Queen bed, Guest bedroom upstairs has a Queen bed, and the loft bedroom has a Full size Antique Rope Bed we restored! All new mattresses, pillows and linens as of March 2021.

The cabin is just an absolute gem! There were some minor issues (for example: wasp nest in/under porch lanterns, water heater too small to fill tub with warm water, etc.) but not enough to rate the cabin a 4-star. We would absolutely stay again without question. Love it.

Chase was awesome! If you are looking for a place to unplug and reset… I would highly recommend staying here. It was like we went back in time. You can’t beat the sound of the creek from the back porch. The tin roof, the rain, the sound of nature… everything you need and nothing that you don’t. Very convenient to town without the intrusion. I am so glad we were able to experience this.

If you seek an experience, this is it!

I want to start with the fact this experience is one of a kind and this review is one of gratitude and appreciation.First off, if you seek luxury, this is not the place for you. If you seek an incredible experience in a tranquil and simplistic environment then this is for you! My suggestions are only that and from my perspective and personal preferences.I understand in this environment the bugs and spiders and such, but a little effort up front from when guest are expected would elevate the experience. A simple sweep and knocking down of webs, blowing off the front and rear porches would significantly increase the enjoyment of the place.Rustic cabin is itself an excellent choice for those of us who seek unique and creative opportunities.The host contacted me about the availability of an early check in if we wished. He was thorough on the details of checking in and the check out was as simple as ever.My girlfriend and I suggest cosmetic or convenience things such as readily available hand towels in bathroom and kitchen. The trash can for the kitchen was nowhere to be found. Clean out and prepare the fire pit area as the previous guests were not very considerate. It was left with a super large log (LARGE) in it that was maybe 1/4 burned through.Overall, a 5 plus for someone seeking a truly unique experience.We had coffee each morning on the back porch swing enjoying the sounds of the world awakening.

Watch your step

Had two very BAD falls one down the front steps onto a large Rock then during the night got up to go up the stairs to the only toilet and fell into the shower in the bed room concusion bed too small and matress is terrible during the night a tree fell worried it was the rotten tree near our car. air conditioners all make a loud noise to where you can not stand it. No sponge to wash dishes with Had to climb up on a rock in bath room to use toilet and close to hitting your head stepping down . :Loved the stream out side the cabin but do NOT plan to go back again I almost had two trips to hospital.

Great getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s very clean and quiet. The only thing I would recommend was for you to bring your own bath towels and wash cloths. I feel like we spent 2 days at the little house on the prairie.

Peaceful Retreat

My husband surprised me with this trip. All he said was, "Bring your rubber boots!" I was delighted to find this charming cabin had a creek for us to play in and go exploring! Great escape for us to relax and enjoy this clean cabin. My only tiny disappointment was I ran out of hot water filling the tub (loved the tub!!!) I averaged about filling the tub half way before running out of hot water. However, this would not keep me from coming back and I would still recommend this place 100%! We had great communication with Chase and am thankful to have had the opportunity to stay at this great cabin!!!

Robotics Rendezvous

Great place to stay to find retreat. Quaint little cabin provides a rustic vibe and is off the beaten path. However, it's close enough to all the amenities and provides many as well. Definitely see a return visit in my future.

As close to perfect as can be.

The location is awesome, wildlife right outside the cabin both mornings and nights. My wife lost her mind over the cabin itself. The only negative, and this was very slight, was the water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired. 99.999/100 - we'll definitely stay again and bring the kiddos who were pretty jealous of the cabin, creek, swing over the creek, and all the critters we saw.

My wife and I were both raised in the "Shoals" area and when we found this property we knew we could restore it and make it into an awesome spot for our friends and family to use! It had been abandoned with no power or water for 17 years when we bought it. We spent about a year clearing land and restoring and updating the cabin to make it as comfortable and welcoming as we could without losing all the charm of the historic log cabin. Even though this cabin makes you feel as if you are out in the middle of nature, Downtown Florence is a mere 15 minute drive away! Or head into Killen for groceries, gas, snacks etc. that are all less than a mile away.

The views and sounds of the creek from the back porch will be so relaxing! Sit on the porch swing or around the firepit while your kids or grandkids play in the creek and explore nature! Let your inner kid out while playing and building dams in the creek or bring your family to make some memories that will last a lifetime!
