Olive Branch Farm; A luxury farm stay.

Welcome to Olive Branch Farm! We have been grateful hosts since the very beginning of home stays. Please see our reviews. We have loved every moment of hosting while continuing to improve our property for ourselves and our guests. We want our home to be a sanctuary for our guests where they can come and not just stay...but to be genuinely immersed in the property and their surrounds.
Our property is very special...It’s full of love and generosity that existed long before we purchased it 28 years ago.
Our property is a well landscaped 5 acre farm that is like living in a park. We have 17 Olive Trees that are over 100 years old , beautiful gardens, outdoor dining spaces, a pool, hammock, firepit and lots of outdoor vignets to gather or be alone.
Our home is a very open indoor /outdoor design that allows families to move with ease to gather or find a private little nook to relax with a book.
Our attention to detail is such that you will be able to pick up a book and start reading if you have forgotten yours, cook a wine country dinner in our fully stocked kitchen and eat outside under the olive trees, light the fire pit and pop some popcorn with our special kettle, Hot Tub under the stars, and then retreat to your suite and sleep soundly under quality linens.
From our experience we know that if you are looking for a home stay that makes your family and friends feel like they have had a true luxury stay in terms of connection, relaxation, accommodations, love and peace, our home is for you.

Staying at Olive Branch Farm feels like you're visiting a dear friend who is the best hostess, one who thinks of absolutely everything. Our (actual) hostess, Debbie, was so gracious! From the beautifully outfitted kitchen (for example, there are no fewer than 4 different ways to make coffee) to the cozy bedroom suites with high quality bedding, towels and bathrobes - everything exceeded our expectations. My family of bookworms especially enjoyed the cozy library room. We look forward to staying here in the summertime so we can enjoy the pool!

Best Visit at the Olive Branch Farm

We recently visited the Olive Branch Farm over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was by far one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve had in the Santa Ynez valley. Debbie is an exceptional host, who is kind, communicative, and generous. The property is well kept, clean and has every amenity you can think of. The grounds are also lovely with a great fire pit, a pool, hot tub and a variety of outdoor seating options. The property is peaceful with beautiful olive trees gracing the yard. It was honestly hard to leave. We hope that we can return someday! Thank you to Debbie and family for such a memorable visit!

A fabulous place to stay while visiting wine country

Our party of six liked Olive Branch Farm so much that we ended up spending more time here than we expected. The host is gracious and thoughtful, treating us like old friends. The experience not only lived up to but surpassed the rave reviews on VRBO.

Spectacular getaway spot!

Debbie's home and property are pretty spectacular! Ballard seemed very central to all of the little towns and wine tasting that we wanted to do! She gave great food recommendations and other places she thought we might be interested in and all were spot on! The touches throughout the house were awesome and she was so thoughtful with the treats, breakfast, juices and other beverages she left for us. She clearly loves hosting and is good at it! She was very responsive and gave detailed instructions for everything on the property! We will be back!

Beautiful, well kept property nearby to Santa Ynez wine country. The home was roomy and well laid out, ample bed and bathrooms, with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The property grounds were spectacular as a place to relax, eat, or swim. We would highly recommend.

Felt like home

From the first moment we arrived at Debbie’s house, we felt welcome. She greeted us and showed us around the house, which is very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The kitchen is exceedingly well-equipped, and her wonderful hospitality extended to all the goodies she left for us in the fridge – which included an absolutely delicious quiche, eggs and wonderfully fresh orange juice. The pool was great and the outside patios and yard are really spacious with lots of seating areas. It’s a delightful place, and Deb introduced my granddaughter to her pet goats, which was a lot of fun. One negative - there are no curtains on the French doors in the upstairs bedroom which leads out to a balcony. Privacy isn’t an issue, but light is, so you won’t be sleeping in. The house is well situated close to Solvang and Los Olivos with tons of wineries and other sites to visit.

Outstanding Magical Home

Debbie our Hostess is beyond gracious and accommodating. We arrived and Debbie met us and gave us a tour of her stunning home. Debbie had fully stocked her pantry and refrigerator with everything you will need and more. Upon our arrival she had wine chilled, a fresh quiche,cheese, bread, fresh tomatoes and strawberries. The refrigerator fully stocked with eggs, and condiments, creamer for our coffee. The most beautiful kitchen with everything you will need. The home is beyond beautiful. Debbie communicates well and very accommodating to all our needs. I just can’t express enough how much we enjoyed our stay. I have stayed many places but this was magical, she made sure everything was perfect. Thank you so much Debbie for making my birthday perfect!

Great location, great pool, great stay for our family!

Everything was so lovely, the photos of the home don’t do it justice. The location is amazing and our kids loved the pool. We would definitely return again!

Our entire family has been involved in our home stay evolution. We have all taken part in our guests happiness and well being. We are an extremely giving family that loves the art of hospitality.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Our home is located in the charming village of Ballard. We are tucked away at the end of a long road creating privacy and intimacy. You are a short lovely walk away from the famous Bob’s Well Bread. All of the properties on the street are 5 acre parcels that have horses, goats, llamas etc and all of our neighbors are so friendly.
We are centrally located to everywhere in the Valley which makes everything very convenient.
There are local farms near to our home for fresh produce and several markets within an 8 minute drive. Our neighborhood is quiet, well maintained , and welcoming.

I think that our property is unique in many ways but something that I think all guests have enjoyed is that we are centrally located but very private. We are tucked away on a dead end street. The grounds are park like and even if you didn’t go anywhere, you would still have a great time. We have great amenities such as our remodeled salt water pool, a firepit, and several outdoor dining areas with a bar b q. Our gardens and lawns are immaculate and laying on the lawns or the hammock adds to the relaxing environment. In addition we have lots of outdoor seating areas to enjoy an indoor outdoor environment.
I think the most special elements of our home and hospitality is the care that we take in your comfort and expectations. You will not arrive and see worn out furniture, a lack of towels or toilet paper. Everything will be pristine and stocked so that you will not be spending your vacation stocking our home.
