A Wine Country Pond House

If you want charming, look no further. Our home is relaxing the second you walk in. The great room has a seating area overlooking the pond and the Santa Ynez mountains. There is a full kitchen and dining area with a large screen TV so you can relax. The two bedrooms are equal in size and each have their own bathroom. The enclosed porch has a washer and dryer, we have a printer and a desk so you could work. At night take in the stars with a glass of wine on the outdoor deck, or cozy up to a fire and have a seat on the Adirondack chairs. We are behind the Summerset farm stand in case you need any treats and we are centrally located, yet worlds away from it all. Explore nearby Ballard, and visit Bob's Well Bread, or head over to Santa Ynez town and enjoy lunch at the Baker's Table. Meander the streets after to find quaint boutiques and coffee shops. You're only a few miles to Los Olives where you could try some wine tasting and shopping. Los Olives Grocery has some gifts and small town market feel and our bigger market El Rancho is close by. If you like cooking our kitchen is up to date and modern, with top of the line appliances. Come and enjoy what Santa Ynez has to offer and kick up your feet at the pond house. Please note: A signed rental agreement is required prior to check in

Everything was perfect…the beds, the view, the koi fish in the pond, the kitchen, the rustic/pond decor, the large deck, the kitchen…we loved it all! Very clean. Very quiet. It was fun to walk around the farm each evening. We found the strawberry girl and the chickens!

The house is just lovely. Spacious and super-comfortable, with nice touches throughout. Very easy to settle in and spend time there. On our last morning a great blue heron and an egret hung out on the deck to say goodbye. Kim is responsive and helpful.

So beautiful and relaxing

This was a great spot, close to everything, but still private. The little pond was such a beautiful spot to relax and look at the mountains. The house was great with everything we needed. One of best spots we've stayed at in the valley.

I have stayed in dozens of rental properties. This is the best ever! While most (all highly rated!) were furnished with clean, serviceable, but undistinguished items, this one is like a real home - where careful thought has been given to every single thing. It could not be lovelier! There was a gate issue that has been resolved. Can’t wait to come back!

The house was beautiful and cozy. The pond and the view of the mountains were spectacular. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the deck and watching the sunrise. The host was very attentive without being overbearing. She thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. I don’t think I have ever stayed anywhere so carefully thought out. The house decorations were beautifully curated and all the supplies we need and some we didn’t expect but glad she did it. The most important thing were the beds were comfortable. We will definitely come back! Thank you for making our visit to see friends and family a joy.

Country Paradise

It was the perfect house and property for 2 couples. Great privacy, yet loads of spaces forshared time both inside and outdoors. Superclean and comfortable. Nice appliances. Easy access to local dining, sites and wine tastings. We stayed 4 nights and wished it could have been a while week. Highly recommend house and host.

This rental was exactly what we were looking for! Two couples needing two bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable flexible seating arrangements* both inside and out and country atmosphere on farm property. Communication with the property manager was seamless. The welcome basket of goodies including local honey was generous, and the egret visiting the pond every day was a delight. We highly recommend the pond house for as many days as you can stay. We didn’t want to leave. * Many rentals have L or U shaped sofas which are cumbersome. This house had sofas but also four wonderful leather swivel chairs around a unique coffee table which we quickly adopted as our main hang out area. Additionally the kitchen table was outfitted with chairs and not picnic bench seating.

Amazing place!!!

We loved the location and the house was just perfect! We had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. They started us off with eggs, bacon and some delicious treats. We had our dog and the back yard was perfect along with a long drive where we were able to walk her. The decor was better than the pictures. We loved sitting on the back deck with the mountains in the distance and right next to a beautiful pond. We will be returning next time in Santa Ynez

Our stay was wonderful. The home was in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The pond outside was constantly alive with Koi, ducks, an occasional turtle, and other birds. The house itself was very well equiped, comfortable and a place that we could stay for days. Would like to return here again at our first chance. Couldn’t have been more conveniently located.
