Great appartment in an interesting location

Spacious place, decorated with many arts objects, interesting books, neat and secure place that makes you feel at home. Located in a multicultural and busy quarter with lively nightlife, but the appartment is quiet.

Great flat in great neighborhood. Nicolas was super helpful in every way. Strongly recommend it.

I became sick with a common cold while in Paris and Nicolas proved very helpful in securing me with a house call from a local doctor and greatly helping my stay.

Stylish arty lovely Appartement in vibrant area

Very friendly welcome by the Host Nicolas. Great Tips for Place to go. Quiet and cool flat. Top Interieur Design. Everything in the Right Place. Cold juice and Fruit as a welcome. It was Perfect and enough Space for Family two Teenagers and a small Dog. We want to go right back!!!!

Unique and interesting

Interesting neighborhood, a bit difficult for those of us who like to travel all around Paris. The apartment is spacious with all we needed. Stairs were tricky. Host is wonderful.

Lovely, spacious, quiet apartment in lively diverse neighborhood!

My husband and I enjoyed a 12 day stay in this Paris apartment located in the 11th arrondisement. A friend described this neighborhood as the Brooklyn of Paris. It is a fun, diverse area with great food, bars, shops, and boutiques. The apartment is large, comfortable, and quiet. The decor is modern and whimsical, a reflection of the artist/owner/host Nicolas. It’s within easy walking distance of the Metro, a 20-30 ride to central Paris. Nicolas is a very helpful and gracious host. We highly recommend this apartment!

Quiet apartment in a lively and vibrant neighborhood

Staying in this apartment felt like sleeping in a museum! There was so much creative and interesting art work in the apartment and the space itself, with exposed stone walls and wooden beams, was fascinating. The owner was very responsive and the neighborhood was a great spot to enjoy lively evenings, walk or take the metro everywhere we wanted to go, and shop for all of the amazing foods that Paris has to offer. I will offer a few "heads up'' about the space. First of all, if you don't like stairs or have any mobility issues this probably isn't a great place for you to stay. The bedroom is upstairs and there is no railing for the very narrow wooden stairs to get up into the loft area. There is also quite a step up to get into the shower area, and the tile could be a bit slippery. Thus a heads up for anyone with mobility issues. The other piece of info is that there is no freezer (there is a fridge but no freezer unit), no microwave, and no dryer for clothes. None of these are deal breakers since the apartment really is great, just think people should know before going, to assess for their own particular needs.

Artful light-filled quiet duplex perfectly located.

I can not recommend this property enough! I searched all over Paris for the right feel for me, that was both practical and chic, and I found it here. Very well located and easy to get to and in an area that was much more local than touristic. The design of the duplex was artsy, tasteful and elegant, I felt very comfy, like I had walked into my own home. Its glass ceilings, in an inner courtyard had the place filled with light and not a sound to be heard from the busy city around. I have recommended it to friends and family already and it will be my first choice for my next visit to Paris. Do not hesitate, you will be very happy here no matter how long your stay!

Schöne Wohnung in toller Lage

Die Wohnung ist mit Bildern und kleinen Skulpturen sehr originell und individuell gestaltet. Sie liegt zwar im Souterrain, ist jedoch auf Grund der großzügigen Verglasung und da am Kopf des Innenhofs gelegen ausreichend hell. Die Umgebung bietet viele Geschäfteund Gastronomie und ist hervorragend durch die Metro erschlossen.

Beautiful, quiet appartment, in a lively neighborhood.

A very comfortable appartment, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Metro connections are good. We liked the neighborhood very much as it is a typical parisien quarter with a mixed population offering a variety of restaurants, shops ateliers.. Nicolas is a very friendly and considerate host, also helpful with suggestions for diner etc. We have been in Paris many times and now have found a place we are looking forward to stay next time. Au revoir Nicolas!

Home away from home

Second time at this place and once again a great stay, comfortable, quite and smacked in the middle of one Paris most interesting and stimulating areas. Nicolas was a charming host, as usual, meeting me kindly and warmly, even though my plane was late. He also caught me up with the new places in Paris, making my stay way more enjoyable. This apartment feels like home. Merci Nicolas.

Very nice apartment. NIcolas was close by for any questions we had.

The apartment was nice and clean. Quite area and spacious. Close to transit. Everything was great. Only recommendations I might have would be to have a TV and the flooring in the bathroom was somewhat worn. Not as nice an fresh looking as the rest of the apartment. Nicolas was very accommodating. A great stay overall.

Great place to stay!

We had a week here and were very happy here. It's in an up and coming area with great places to eat. Also very close to the metro. Nicholas advised us on there to eat, recommended a great wine shop and a fromagerie, we made the most of his advice! The internet was very good, handy when you still have to work. Good shower and comfortable bed! Would highly recommend

Spacious Paris flat

We stayed at this 11th arrondissment apt. Earlier this month. Owner was a delight to work with. He had maps of Paris for us and even reserved a taxi for us to get to the airport. The apt. Is just as shown in VRBO pictures. There is a wonderful mezzanine level with a small bedroom and a larger lounge with a futon bed. The bed was very comfortable. The only bathroom is on the first floor so night time visits to the bathroom in the dark could be a challenge to some. We were fine with the bathroom location. The apt is a basement apt. But has these incredible Windows and glass roof over the kitchen that let in so much light. The neighborhood is an up an coming neighborhood which is to say that it's a little gritty. But lots of services you don't find in the tourist areas. There are several bakeries, delicious pastries, pizza by the slice and quiches. Grocery and wine stores. Restaurants and bars. A wiskey bar on the street of the apt. With a bouncer which was a nice security feature coming home late. There are several metro lines within a five minute walk. Downtown Paris is only 10-20 minutes away. I have stayed in several arrondissments in Paris but paid more for less space. If you're willing to get outside the tourist ring and see a real Paris neighborhood then this is the place for you.

Gorgeous space and wonderful host

The duplex is absolutely beautiful, very unique but also very cosy. Nicolas was a great host as well, even helping me to do some laundry in his apartment, which is connected to the rental. The only problem we had was that the apartment smelled pretty strongly of cigarette smoke, but that's not so unusual, especially in Europe. The neighborhood around the apartment is also very fun, with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, and it is close to multiple metro lines in order to explore the rest of the city. Overall a lovely stay in a gorgeous apartment!

super duplex d'architecte !!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le super duplex de Nicolas qu'il a conçu lui même du sol au plafond. De beaux volumes et une déco branchée, le sens du détail et quelques curiosités nous ont beaucoup plu. Quartier animé, bars, restos, supérettes et métro à proximité mais immeuble au calme. Une charmante petite terrasse permet de se détendre après une journée de visite de la ville. Nicolas est adorable et fera tout pour que votre séjour se passe dans les meilleures conditions. Vivement notre prochain séjour parisien !!!
