A great house with less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. Right off of the main the main road. Would definitely stay here again. Great communication with the host!

We had a great stay at this house! There were some hiccups checking in since a new keypad had been installed before our arrival, but the host called us back quickly and got everything taken care of. Great location, with just a short 5-6 min walk to the beach on a quiet street. Also was a plus the house is pet friendly so the whole family could come :) Would recommend and stay again!

Lovely home for four of us. Even with the rainy weather we truly enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was extremely well stocked which for us is very important. Short ride to Duck.

I stayed here for a month while working in the area. Check in was super easy and hosts were extremely informative about the residence and the area. Beds were very comfortable and the house is very cozy. I especially enjoyed all the wild life (deer). Very short and safe walk to the beach. Right down the road from Duck with lots of shopping and restaurants. I was very impressed with this house and would stay here again and again.

Cleanish if you don't look too close. At the limit of how far we'd want to walk to the beach with all the gear. Have to cross a congested road. Very bare bones in terms of decor and supplies. Dated and smelled musty or like former smokers were here. Petfriendly is fine but the dog hair was a bit much.

Sorry the weather didn’t cooperate during your stay. Surprised to hear you had other issues since none were mentioned when we checked in on you. Regarding the distance from the beach and our location, we are very clear that it is on Duck Rd, - a 2 lane 35 mph road that runs to Duck and Corolla. However, all traffic stops at the nearby crosswalks when pedestrians are waiting to cross and the town has a multi use path for pedestrians and bicycles that runs the entire length of the road until you get to the village of Duck. The walk to the beach is clearly stated as .4/10 of a mile, which is what it is. The house aesthetic is clean and uncluttered, However, the kitchen is pretty well stocked for a rental, (as others have mentioned) and we provide basic house supplies (trash bags, detergents, hand soaps, paper towels, etc) games, books, high quality sheets and towels, premium memory foam mattresses, bikes, a parking pass to a private lot at the beach, tennis membership, and a cart, cooler, chairs and umbrella for the beach. And, we do price it for what it is and try to offer a value in a great location. If we were closer to the beach in a completely remodeled space, we'd have to charge significantly more than we do. Again, sorry the weather wasn’t ideal during your stay. We hope you still enjoyed your time here.

Family Vacation

Water was cold and Jelly fish owned the waters so we spent time on the beach minimal swimming and enjoyed the location of the house. Shopping and dining out.

Great location!

Two adults and four kids (ages 10-14) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The easy walk to the beach was perfect for evenings. When we had all our beach gear, we really appreciated the included parking passes that made a day at the beach so easy. Great location, great extras for the kids, great star gazing from the roof. Would stay again!

Happy Family in Henry’s Castle

Our family was relaxed and happy in Henry’s Castle. Check-in was simple. We cooked breakfast and lunch daily: the hearth-style kitchen-living room made it easy to cook and eat together. The cottage has just the right amenities and spaces to promote quality time. Less than 5 minutes walk to a lovely beach.

Fantastic and Conveniently Located

We had a great stay at this house. The house was very nice and clean, and our host was extremely responsive. The house is conveniently located right near local shopping in Duck, just 20 minutes from the bustle of kitty hawk, but in a quiet area with easy access and walking distance to the beach.

Everything was exactly as shown. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of hot water for showers, clean and comfortable! We totally enjoyed the wrap around deck and the roof top deck! Annette was wonderful. She kept us informed and checked in on us to be sure we were all set. We Loved our home for the week!

Summer in OBX

Good Property, Communication, and Location. 8 min walk to the beach, but you do have to cross a busy street. Quieter less touristy part of the OBX. Property had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms!

Everything was great. It was just my family of four with our fur family and the house and area was perfect for what we were looking for. We loved the private feel of the entire house but yet close to the beach. My husband and kids loved the game room, dogs loved the outside, I enjoyed the decks! Communication was also great between homeowners and us. This was our first time staying up the northern area of OBX, and we would absolutely stay at this house again.
