We had a great week in this perfect lakefront home on Cable Lake. Lots of outdoor sand and water fun...kayaks, paddle boat, peddle pontoon available and plenty of beach toys for our grandkids. The bedrooms were so comfortable! Kitchen and family room had lots of cozy details. Close to Driftwood and Timberline Inn and so much more. Very welcoming home and wonderful host! Highly recommend!

Family Lake House Fun!

Accommodations are nice and organized for adults and kids in a clean home with plenty of room for all of us! Amenities galore for all ages and interests to guarantee a great vacation! Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect summer vacation

The house was clean and sufficiently stocked for cooking meals. The kids (aged 8) could play and swim safely all day and the outdoor living space was great for all.

Amazing

This was the perfect vacation! The hosts had clear instructions and were communicative. The property was phenomenal, right on the lake. The kids loved the lake and small playground in the front. We would absolutely stay again in the future!

Nice house

We had a good time on our vacation. The no wake lake was nice for fishing and swimming. The floating raft/slide was a big hit. Nice that we had access to the kayaks, paddle boat and pontoon. Kitchen was pretty stocked.

Wonderful Getaway!

Our family had a fantastic trip and truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Tali was great to work with and extremely responsive. Our boys (10 & 7) had a great time and there was so much for them to do. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming. We definitely recommend this home and look forward to returning!

Great Family Getaway!

Our family enjoyed staying at the Cable Lake property! The location on Cable Lake was perfect for our children to play and swim! The beach was great and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We had an issue during our stay and the owners took care of the problem very promptly. We loved it!

Great view, very nice remodel!

Plenty of room for 7 and maybe a couple more. It was a rainy weekend but we didn't mind staying inside because it was so nice.

Love love love!

Our stay was so fabulous! The house was everything pictured. Great living space and kitchen area for 6 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs. The yard and water was great for swimming and hanging out. We loved everything about it!!!’ We will definitely be coming back!

Great home for family vacation

The listing is true to what you will find. The home has been updated, great indoor and outdoor space. The beds were comfortable (and we are picky), kitchen was well outfitted (we cooked everyday at home. My family loved the outdoor paddleboats and canoes. Highly recommend.

Another great stay on Cable Lake!

This was our second year staying at this property on Cable Lake. The inside of the home was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The open concept of the first floor and large breakfast nook facing the lake is great for indoor time, but the outdoor area and amenities is what makes this property perfect and where we spent most of our time. The lake is quiet and the property has all the "toys" you'd need for family fun and lazy days outside.

Family Fun!

The attention to detail was amazing and the options (both inside and out) were great! Owners responded quickly to questions and kindly offered assistance. There was plenty to do on the property for our wide range of family members which made for a wonderful family vacation! We would love to go back since no one really wanted to leave…what better compliment is there?!

This place was perfect!

Everything about this home and property was perfect for our family. There were 2 children 4 years and under and the beach was ideal with zero depth and clean sand. The 2 play areas were ideal for them and nice additions. The adults loved the kayaks, paddle boards and raft. Truly, this place is perfect for a family and the hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. We could not have asked for a more ideal home for our vacation.

Life is better at the lake

The house was super cute & as described. We enjoyed the peace & quiet of the mornings with our coffee on the deck. Spent our afternoons soaking up the sun on the lake in the paddle boat. And evenings by the fire on the private beach area. Great little cottage if you’re looking to escape the hustle of every day life & just relax.

Great Family Vacation

The lake house met all our expectations. Plenty of room for our family of five adults and three children. Home was very clean,beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The kids had a great time using the kayaks and paddleboats and even caught a few fish. The house was close to several winery's that we visited as well as restaurants. Kendra was an excellent host and easy to contact. Looking forward to staying hear again next year.

Great family vacation in the books!

Our family had a great time at this property! The kids ..and us!... thoroughly enjoyed all the water equipment they provided! From paddle boating to kayaking to paddle boarding! Fishing was good too. My wife caught a few 15"+ bass and we caught a lot of good size blue fill and sunfish. The house is very spacious and clean. I'd also like to say that Kendra's communication was on point. Very responsive.

Nice place with a few improvements needed

This is a very lovely cottage on a quiet lake. We really enjoyed our time but we did feel the mattresses and pillows need some upgrading. We flew in from out of state so it would have been helpful to have beach towels available. The hosts were very responsive and we had a good time but I hope these suggestions are helpful.

Fabulous as usual

This is our 4th time at this property but 1st time with the new owners. So we went into this with a bit of the unknown. But we're thrilled to say everything was wonderful and the new owners very responsive and helpful. The house is amazing. Very clean, very well kept and well supplied. The kids loved the beach and fishing as usual. The crib is a blessing as we had an almost 5 year old, almost 3 year okd and a 3 month old plus 5 adults. The kayaks and paddleboards and paddle boats were well used. We baked we cooked we relaxed by the firepit with smores. Love this place and already booked next year!

Perfect rental house for kids

We stayed here the week of July 4th and it was so fun! It was our family, and our best friends family for a total of 4 adults and 6 kids ages 7-18 months, and the house was great for all ages. Being right on the lake and having a big beach was perfect for the kids! The littles played on the beach or in the shallow water, while the bugs swam out to the floating deck and played on the water mat. The house was clean, updated and had a lot of the necessities for small children like a crib, pack n play, booster chair and baby gate. It also had a small play set in the backyard and a large set in the front that was great for early morning play. Our 4 oldest lives the bunkbed room and also gave them a space to themselves. We highly recommend this house to anyone with small children looking to have a fun week on the lake! Overall, we loved this rental and will definitely be back!

Property is Beautiful!

This has been our second time staying here. It's so clean, completely updated and so peaceful. We have 4 children under the age of 7. It's so nice not to have to bring a pack and play since the house has a crib and pack and play available (bed rail available too!). My kids also loved the swing set and many beach "toys". Not having motor boats on the lake is not only peaceful but great when little kids are swimming in the water and you don't have to worry about a speed boat flying by. The house has everything you need! The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance etc. A lot of rental properties don't provide towels or sheets. It's so nice to not have to pack these things! We loved staying here and plan to again.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about our stay at Cable Lake Cottage! The listing description is absolutely spot-on and extremely detailed. The property was pristine! Tali, the owner, provided an abundant amount of very valuable information, both thru email and in the binder included in the home. We referred to it often! I would highly recommend staying here and we would love to visit again! We are a family of 6, kids ages are 12, 10, 7, and 2. Every single one of us had the best time! The cottage is beautiful yet functional, with everything you could possibly need. The crib was a HUGE plus for us, and our little guy was completely happy with sleeping in the "new bed". This can be a real struggle for traveling with little ones! Our 3 girls greatly enjoyed staying in the bunk room, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The spacious deck overlooking the lake is a wonderful spot to sit, read, talk, eat, etc. We ate outside as much as we could (it did rain a few days, but no worries, still plenty of room indoors as well!). We greatly enjoyed the chiminea and made s'mores several times. Great fun! As awesome as the cottage is, the main attraction has to be the lake! Bring your fishing poles and spend the few bucks for a license, because we were getting fish as soon as the hook hit the water! Everyone took rides in the paddle boat (there are actually 2!) There are multiple kayaks, paddle boards, a rowboat, etc. Our kids had never kayaked before and absolutely loved it! There are plenty of floats to enjoy or bring your favorites with you! The lake temperature was very nice, even the cold-blooded types in the family thought it was warm enough! Lest I forget, the kids also enjoyed the swing set in the front yard and the smaller play set in the back. Absolutely great additions! I would have been happy to not leave the cottage the entire week, but we did go out for a few excursions. We visited St. Joseph which has a nice beach on Lake Michigan and many other attractions, stores, and restaurants. On a rainy day we went to the Air Zoo near Kalamazoo and we all enjoyed that. We highly recommend visiting Sarett Nature Center in Benton Harbor--check out the tree canopy! We would have loved to check out the many trails there, but time was cut short by rain and a tired 2 year old. We enjoyed the Baker's Rhapsody in Dowagiac for coffee and treats. We also enjoyed nearby Sister Lakes Brewing Company. Just a wonderful stay overall!

A bit of Heaven

We arrived to find this beautiful lakefront piece of heaven clean and ready for us. Calls to the property owners before and during the visit were answered s promptly. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. We enjoyed all the water activities, swimming to the raft, paddle boarding ad paddle boating, and did a firepit at night. Such a lovely piece of heaven - I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much!
